Apathy.

I feel like politics bait threads must be deleted on sight.

I'm going to just fucking draw my own goddamn comics from now on.

someone want to write for me

The internal panels are even better.

an interior panel. Sorry for the dark quality

Where's that Savage Dragon storytime I was promised?

Very subtle. I like it.

Can I write about how much Political Person sucks?

>How does Sup Forums feel about this?

Drumpf xD

Let the comic book industry keep bankrupting itself with sjw trash that appeals to no one.

If you mean this issue I think there was one

Me getting pissed at too many comics I read was what drove me to start my own webomic. That was before the whole SJW thing went into hyperdrive

No, Murderanon said he was going to storytime all of Savage Dragon.

That would be cool, especially if he did the issues where he appears in other comics like Proof.

I do.

I was honestly surprised that Savage Dragon is still going.

Something tells me that that anybody who's been reading Savage Dragon a long time is not going to be shocked and surprised that Erik Larsen is anti-Trump, and the only people who are upset about this kind of thing are the exact people Erik is currently laughing his ass off about.

That's what I figured when reading it. Dragon was always written as a left leaning independent, even voting for Ralph Nader multiple times in continuity, Larsen himself probably does as well. It's really no surprise he would choose this portrayal. It's also not an entirely unfair depiction upon reading it either.

/comblr presents...

a good way to earn a significant number of new "educated" readers and don't lose any old ones, just look how well it worked for Marvel...

I feel like she probably has a dick.

Yeah, I thought the same.

I would love too. I write descriptive stuff and it's why I don't know how to transition to comics. I'm a short story/poetry type of writer and don't know how to find a way to transition to comics...

pic related (just recent work for practice)

Oh wwoaw I'm so mad, this edgy terrible comic that no one has read in 20 years and no one enjoys except Erik Larson himself has me so mad, the fact that this kind of leftie bullshit is being shilled to Savage Dragon's colossal demographic of 6 whols readers is the end of the world let's have 3 more threads about this presumably terrible months old issue that no one with a brain bought, thank you so much OP for bringing this important sociopolitical issue to our attention. Aargh. Rife with anger.

>bashing trump is SJW
this is the state of the alt-right trigger babies

>I'm not mad!
>REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

We're going to kill you snowflakes

>Trump is, by all objective observations of him, a bully and an idiot
>Comics make fun of him
>Sup Forums in general gets immensely butthurt over this

Literally why? Because he beat an old lady you didn't like at politics? He's still a terrible person who deserves ridicule.

I feel like a 30 year old democrat that hated Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. I feel like I hate what the party is turning into, but I also think its amazing that anyone supported Trump's blatant lies so I didn't vote in this election. I feel like no matter who won, it'd be a corrupt mess.

I feel like Sup Forums has completely changed in the last two years thanks to the blatant reddit & stormfront influx and no one here can take a fucking joke anymore regardless of political affiliation. I feel like most anons act just like SJWs now but too stupid and too triggered to realize it.

I feel like you made this thread because your other Sup Forumsbait thread is about to 404.

Watching this stunt backfire was hilarious.

>his 10 year old son thought it was real
How can anyone doubt the boy has autism and Trump has weak genes? Ivanka is the only good looking one and she's clearly had work done.

It's actually kind of commendable how Savage Dragon literally goes after Trump himself in its story/stories. It's not some """subtle""" ironic reference like in Marvel for all the fans to feel intellectually smug about getting the joke, like Red Skull parodying a Trump speech, or having an orange Modok with a wig flying around enslaving brown people.

It's a very straight forward, "fuck you, I don't like you" to Trump, and I feel like even if you're a Trump supporter you can respect his clear and honest stance on the matter.

I mean, at a glance on the news I don't think it's entirely outside the realm of possibility that a ten year old might momentarily believe it, given how despised his dad is.

It does real enough to fool a child, and even if they were pathetic there were attempts on Trump's life.

Honestly, as a Trump supporter, I do. It tells me I probably won't enjoy reading his stuff, but I respect when an author is just up front about what they think instead of pussyfooting around it.

Maybe you should tell comic book creators to stop injecting their politics.

FPBP

Easy, because he's 10 years old. I'm sure if 10 year old you saw something like that of your dad he'd freak out too.

Another lying cocksucking, cumguzzling liberal sack of shit.

>Racial slurs
waynedupree.com/behna-wow-liberals-call-ben-carson-uncle-tom-over-potential-cabinet-position/

>anti-immigrant

From usa-focus.org/immigration-policy-comparison-u-s-and-mexico/

"Mexico requires immigrant applicants to show how they could contribute to the country’s well-being, and to show that they will be able to support themselves. U.S. immigration policy has no such provisions.
Mexico punishes illegal immigrants with a prison sentence of 2-10 years. The U.S. punishes illegal immigrants by deporting them.
Mexico’s constitution prohibits non-citizens from participating in any part of the country’s politics, including demonstrations and publicly voicing their opinions. The U.S. Constitution does not have those restrictions.
Mexico’s constitution allows for legal immigrants to be expelled from the country for no reason and without due process. The U.S. Constitution has no such provision.
Mexico’s constitution denies equal employment rights to immigrants. The U.S. Constitution does not."

Even Trump's immigration policy is tame by comparison.

anti-Muslim:

dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3240010/Number-refugees-arriving-Europe-soars-85-year-just-one-five-war-torn-Syria.html

One of the reasons why a temporary ban on immigration is needed: no way to verify if these people really are refugees. And yes, it s a temporary ban contrary to the lies from the left.

Maybe you should accept that comics have been a political medium since their inception and get over yourself. It's a fucking embarrassment that, just because I voted for Trump I have to be lumped in with idiots like you that can't handle people expressing their beliefs through creative works. If you must critique, critique the execution, not the fact that it exists at all.

Like watching a dead horse get beaten

...

>>savage dragon

I'm sure the dozens of people who follow Savage Dragon are really talking about this.

>HURR DERP! DRUMPT IS TERRIBLE SO IT'S OKAY TO LIE ABOUT HIM.

I remember loving the show, but how are the comics?

Yeah I like Trump but this is hilarious. Don't be a pussy with your opinions, it's much more respectable.

Trump says and does enough stupid shit that it boggles my mind that people still feel the need to twist his words or look for idiotic minor shit like salt and pepper shakers to get irate about. Like, you don't need to completely fabricate things he's said (like "calling all Mexicans and legal immigrants rapists" or "he said Nazis were fine people"), you can just quote him directly, word for word, and people will get that he's a fucking retard.

no, cause that's what made comics great in the first place

>Uncle Tom is a racial slur now

Damn, when you Trump guys get triggered, you really get triggered.

when Trump lies with nearly every sentence it's OK?

>Maybe you should accept that comics have been a political medium since their inception and get over yourself.

SJWs love politics in comics...unless it goes against their world view. In those rare occasions, they slip into DESTROY THE INFIDEL!!! mode.

Fucking hypocrites. All of those fascist, authoritarian cocksuckers are like that.

“You know what uranium is, right? It’s this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things. But nobody talks about that.”

-The President of the United States

imagine being on Sup Forums in 2006 and having to deal with dipshits whining about every other Bush caricature.

Comics are better, but much edgier. Expect blood and gore and occasional sex.

The best of the early Image titles, which might sound like a low hurdle to some. Of all the founders Larsen's comic stands out for having a sense of humor about itself, but never diving into full on irony or winking at the audience. It's a big alien dude who joins the cops rather than be a vigilante and fights super villains with a developing supporting cast.

I don't know when it falls of the rails, probably once the Dragon himself stops being the main character and his son takes over.

well if you're serious email me

im very flexible

>Uncle Tom is a racial slur now

It's been a racial slur used by you leftists against black conservatives for decades.

Yes, exactly. Making shit up just fuels the whole "fake news" fire, the man's such a gold mine of stupid quotes that it's entirely unnecessary.

>I don't understand racial politics in America: the post

>when Trump lies with nearly every sentence it's OK?

Your side tampered with evidence to link Trump with Russian hackers.

thefreethoughtproject.com/russian-hacking-analysis-fake/

>thefreethoughtproject.com
>Seems legit

Jesus, I can't tell if this is fake or not. This is the guy who appointed someone to the department of energy and the guy two days later realized he was in charge of the nukes...

Low hanging fruit.
Sign that the writers are hacks

Different guy but even if comics as a medium have always had a political angle to them, do you really think the same is true for comics starring men in their underwear? I mean, is that really the appropriate time or place to make political commentary? In funny books for children starring grown men gallivanting around in spandex undies? The execution is obviously terrible and we could spend a lot of time picking apart each individual odor in piles of politicized garbage like America, Liberality for All, Calexit, Holy Terror, etc, but I'd like to paint with a broader brush to save some time.

Super hero comics are a fine place to discuss issues that can be dealt with via punching and maybe some moving character dialogues. It's not a place to discuss real-world issues like politics because no where in our real world do irresponsibly powerful men dress up in tights and fight the kind of villains that would make the WWE blush. Furthermore, no amount of physical ability can defeat the structural problems that persist in a real society. No force of will can overcome the innate conflicts of interest that permeate human existence. No spandex, no matter how colorful, can forever vanquish the hunger, sickness, death, and evil that is an indelible part of the human experience.

There is something fundamentally wrong with attempting to use a super hero to explore a political problem with any sharper focus than broad metaphor. But the X-Men some cry. Yes the X-Men, but they work because the good stories never explicitly reference any persecuted minority group, they're a broad metaphor for anyone who has ever felt a feeling of isolation from society at large. In this way, they become larger than whatever (in the grand scheme of things) petty political dispute inspired them and can become representative of anyone who feels like an outsider. It transcends the political and becomes personal, in that way.

Fuck you cumwad and fuck your appeal to ridicule.

>im very flexible
she looks very flexible too

And your proof that Russia hacked the DNC for Trump?

Julian Assange? No, he said he got his intel from an insider.

In fact, there's more evidence that his sources were Seth Rich than the Russians.

uh huh. that's why the Trump administration keeps back tracking when every single lie they told is exposed to be fact. Every fucking time they say they didn't do X they did X

fuck off, you haven't read which is one of the greatest stories of those two character and has won multiple awards.

It still stands up today as one of the best superhero stories

I thought the DNC thing was by a disgruntled employee.

She isn't, she's my drawing so canon is that she's actually a latex costume filled with carrots and rotting potatoes.
She smells like shit

>secret war on black republicans

Yeah, that sounds like a well written article.

When people call a black man an Uncle Tom, it's about his politics, not his race.

Seth Rich was a disgruntled employee. He was a Bernie Bro that was pissed off the DNC rigged the primaries for Hillary. Note I said was. He was shot in the back at 4 am and none of his personal belongings were taken.

It honestly feels like the last 8 months have had the same output as the 8 years of Bush hate, mocking and caricatures.

>do you really think the same is true for comics starring men in their underwear?

Yes.

>do you really think the same is true for comics starring men in their underwear?
Yes.

>When people call a black man a term that explicitly refers to his race, it's about his politics, not his race.

>When people call a black man an Uncle Tom, it's about his politics, not his race.

Exactly. It's a shaming tactic to keep blacks from voting for anyone other than leftist Democrats.

Of course he's autistic, he draws dickgirl art and plays with fidget spinners

well...that's very midwest american...although, shouldn't she be filled with corn then? Or is it just that the story is CORNY!

>feels like
well, 2 points to that. Trump is more incompetent and idiotic and people are more mad about it.

With Bush it was politics as normal. He fucked up his words at times and came off as stupid at times. But he was a republican who worked with is party to actually get things done. I didn't like a lot of Bush politics, but he worked towards his goals and got them done. Trump has done none of this. Comparing the two is false equivalence.

dailywire.com/news/14717/trump-100-vindicated-wiretapping-and-7-other-john-nolte#exit-modal

Lies Trump allegedly told...that was actually true.

Do you really think adventure/war stories thinly veiled in American propaganda really counts as political commentary? Superman urging young boys to buy more war bonds is the kind of cement that has, over the ages, formed into the foundation of a great culture of informed political critique? Sure, fascism as a form of government was literally bludgeoned to death in the earlier segment of the 20th century but the idea remains. Some argue that it's the strongest it's been since 1945 right now. Do you really think that Captain America punching Hitler had a lasting impact on the ideology of National Socialism, or adequately refuted any of it's fundamental presuppositions?

Something can be political without being a deep political commentary that attempts to change the world. There was no qualifier that they had to be intelligent about it, merely that they have always been political.

Captain America stood by and watched Nixon commit suicide after Watergate.

>autist
>draws dickgirl art
>plays with fidget spinners
Is he, dare I say it, /ourguy/?

Are you under the mistaken impression that someone is born an Uncle Tom? It's not a race, it's a set of choices.
You'd probably have an easier time arguing that the term "wigger" is about racism and not about enforcing cultural separation.

This is a legit criticism. I'd say it's simplistic, but it's at least on target, unlike trying to call it a racial slur, which is just stupid.

nice goalpost moving. You could say that about everyone with the NSA involvement. But it was CLEARLY not what Trump ment.

I've seen more people talking about Savage Dragon because of this one issue than I have in my 9 years coming to Sup Forums, so clearly it's doing something right.

>Trump is more incompetent and idiotic and people are more mad about it.

It's a racial term, no matter how you try to spin it. You can't divorce "Uncle Tom" from race, and neither do the people who typically apply the label to others. It is explicitly used to infer that a black person is acting in a traitorous manner to their own race. I don't get how you can argue that it is not an extremely loaded phrase that has nothing to do with the skin color of those it gets used against; if they weren't black, they wouldn't be called Uncle Toms.

When the Superman radio show ran the arc The Clan of the Fiery Cross it directly lead to a drop in clan membership. One me said "How do you keep doing something once you realize your own kid thinks you’re a supervillain who needs to get punched out by the good guys?"

I do. I've had this idea for ages now that I could never adapt because I can't draw for shit.

Yes something can be political, any medium can theoretically convey any set or subset of ideas. But if you're going to do something, at least attempt to make it good. Otherwise why bother? If you're just going to print some shallow pandering in the form of politics, why waste the ink? Yeah comics are a business but that's such a lame excuse. Plenty of people make money producing things that don't make me want to bite my own tongue off in second-hand embarrassment. Things like OP's pic really aren't any different from the kind of laughable comics that sell entirely on the basis of scantily clad women or acts of unspeakable violence. It's the same low-brow tripe, it's just aiming for a different market by using political pandering in place of blood/boobs.

>It's a racial term

Yes, but it's not a racial slur. There's a big difference.
"Uncle Tom" is just "traitor" with a coat of brown paint to make it clear what sort of "traitor" they're talking about.

>Trump has done none of this.

People who voted for President Trump didn't send him to Washington to get things done.

We want him to BURN IT ALL DOWN.

Drain the damn swamp, remove every regulation, tear the fucking tentacles off our fucking backs.

So far, he's doing wonderful. Keep it up, Trump!

I wasn't the one calling it a slur.

Fair enough.
