Sonic Heroes was a horrible fucking game. I don't know why anyone would suggest including its portrayals in canon.
And this wasn't even a particularly strong episode, tbqh. If you liked this you'd probably like all of it. Unless you need game fanservice. There's only about 3 episodes total in the vein of this one where someone from the games waltzes in.

Boom is a different universe, so they might not work together. That, or the network airing Vector's show only wanted him, and he never turns down work that pays.

Ow the Edge is my guilty pleasure. The multiplayer is garbage and the graphics and controls are actually a step DOWN from Sonic Heroes, and every voice outside of Black Doom and Omega is cock-in-mouth tier, but the core gameplay is enjoyable enough and the vocal tracks are as good as ever.
But we got both. He has the goofy voice of the latter but the competence of the former.
The voice is specifically what I take issue with.

It'd be cool if they could do more than that though. Two of gaming's most famous and iconic franchises and Olympics-themed sport games is still the best they can come up with a crossover? I understand that a platformer probably wouldn't work due to how fundamentally different Mario and Sonic play but that doesn't mean they can't do something in a different genre.
