What do you think is Michael Moore's best kinomentary?

None. Every single one is a smug, deceitful piece of stinking shit. I took a documentary course once where the teacher showed us how something dumb like the Exposed: Evolution vs Creationism was propaganda with a fake story to cause emotion rather than present facts, then the next day she showed a fucking Michael Moore movie as a legitimate documentary. The irony is fucking incredible

Fpbp

he’s a humble man.

> making seemingly plausible flicks out of totally fake and deceitful materials

To be fair, it's quite a talent.

I'll always hate him for what he did to Charlton Heston at the end of bowling for columbine. Fucking lying manipulative rat.
What a cunt

He's a fat hypocrite that lives a life of luxury because western adolescent minded liberals are the easiest group of people in the world to manipulate for monetary gain.

Roger and Me is the one with most merit probably

pure kino

and he calls himself a socialist...

meanwhile the former president of Uruguay, Jose Mujica is an actual socialist and lives in a house like this. he could have lived in the presidential palace but he chose to turn it into a shelter for the homeless.

his autopsy will be top tier kino no doubt

Bowling for columbine was his most deceitful and manipulative film but it did have some high points:
>Manson interview
>"Culture of fear" theme was strong but he strayed too far from it towards the end of the film
>The title was legit mockery of how the media tried to blame video games, scary music and everything else on the rise in school violence, when in reality the columbine shooters went bowling that morning
>"wonderful world" segment where it lists all the coups and CIA shit America unleashed on the developing world leading up to 911 (nothing to do with guns, just a nice montage)

Low points:
>attack on Heston
>attack on k-mart for selling 9mm ammo
>attempt to tie the NRA to the KKK
>attempt to link school shootings to the fact that Lockheed makes bombs in the same town as the shooters, and that Clinton was bombing other countries "indiscriminately"
>His editing that linked his own south park style cartoon to his interview with Matt Stone (This really pissed off the south park guys)
>the loose facts
>the omission of facts
>Completely avoided the link between race and violent gun statistics

>and he calls himself a socialist...
Socialism allows for personal wealth. It's certain specific methods they use to acquire that wealth that socialists take exception to. It has more to do with the means of production rather than private wealth.

An amusing clip of Adam Carolla discussing Michael Moore's wealth.

youtube.com/watch?v=BOmBxDqZ72Q

His portrayal of the British NHS was comically bad. It pretty much killed his credibility overnight in the UK.

Golden rule of these things is if they're hopelessly out when talking about things you do know about, they're just as bad when talking about the things you don't.

>His portrayal of the British NHS was comically bad.
Same as his "no one locks their doors in Canada" segment in bowling for columbine. He visited one wealthy & white suburb and declared "they are all so safe and polite and didn't shoot at me!"

Moore is at his absolute worst when he looks to other countries.

>interview the creators of South Park
>immediately follow it up with a South Park style animation about the NRA/KKK
>turns out it wasn't by them at all, Moore just wanted you to think it was.

This is why he was in Team America.

And his travel to Cuba in Sicko was the worst.

I liked the one where he promoted a russian anti-trump rally.

>"I walk among them. I live on the island of Manhattan, a three-mile-wide strip of land that is luxury home and corporate suite to America's elite....."
>"Those who run your life live in my neighborhood. I walk in the streets with them each day"
>(Michael Moore, Stupid White Men, p. 51)

Yep, I bought it. I thought they'd made it. Moore is a piece of poop.

BASED

Roger and Me.

...

His key points are usually kind of right, but the way he cherrypicks his "facts" and the way he paints everything in black and white with nothing in between is so over-the-top that it's just silly. You don't need to tinker with the facts and overdramatize anecdotes to argue that the US is retarded when it comes to guns, war and health. He just shits on those things though, I feel he doesn't really understand the underlying mechanisms at work, because deep down, he's part of the machinery.

>"Those who run your life live in my neighborhood. I walk in the streets with them each day"
He is talking about power there, not necessarily wealth:
>A lotto winner has wealth
>A film maker, rock star, or pro athlete has wealth
>The CEO of Goldman Sachs is powerful
>The executives of big oil are powerful
>the attorney general is powerful

That Ben Stein documentary was a whole other level of insincere propoganda dressed up as "just asking questions".

Sicko was good, the American healthcare system is utterly dogshit. His other work is hit or miss, I thought Columbine was decent too at cutting through a lot of the hysteria around Columbine and getting to the point. He suffers from being one of those doccumentarians who seem to try to manipulate the audience, like he's telling them what to feel, rather than letting the facts tell themselves.

>watching communist docs
might as well just watch old soviet propaganda videos then

i'll give one thing to moore, though, he has a god-given voice for narration. he should try in hollywood

>>Manson interview
or how to spot a redditor in one step

I dislike manson as a musician but I respected him for that interview. His career was derailed for several years due to being directly blamed for columbine (even though the gunmen were Rammstein fans).

what did he do? haven't seen

He approached a very elderly Charleton Heston in his own home, claiming to be a lifelong NRA member filming a documentary. It turned into an ambush.

Well, his ass does need a house that big.

yeah poor guy, why can't he leave the spokesman for the NRA alone, it's not like he pursued and profited from that role

Clint Eastwood was especially pissed at that:
>“Michael Moore and I actually have a lot in common — we both appreciate living in a country where there’s free expression,” Eastwood said. He then put out the following warning to Moore, “But, Michael, if you ever show up at my front door with a camera — I’ll kill you.” In his Facebook post, Moore recalled that immediately following Eastwood’s remark most of the audience at the event looked to see what his reaction was.

>“I tried to keep that fake smile on my face so as to appear as if he hadn't ‘gotten’ to me,” Moore said, adding, “But he [Eastwood] had.” Clearly, the remark still haunts him. Eastwood had been alluding to the reprehensible ambush interview that Moore had conducted in 2002 with Charlton Heston. Moore insidiously included the interview segment in his movie, “Bowling for Columbine.”

>Moore was aware that Heston was suffering from Alzheimer’s disease when he approached Heston’s home and verbally assaulted him. Heston responded to Moore with trademark courtesy and then graciously excused himself from continuing the charade of an interview.

Luckily for you pal, I have access to this super-secret governmental video archive called "U2" or something. Me and the guys want to share with this video for you pro Bono, the link only works for your IP in the next 24 hours:

Based Eastwood. Never disappoints.

Great observation. Either way, it shows how manipulative Moore really is: he likes to pose as a quasi-ordinary guy who cares about everyday struggles and popular issues. Meanwhile he's factually amongst the elite. And he's bragging about it.

I hate Michael Moore but I think it's fine that he doesn't hide how much money he's made. It's better than lying and claiming poverty.

It's still not unreasonable to expect some humility from a socialist. There are too many wealthy, self proclaimed socialists who pay lip service to the cause but are quite content with the status quo as long as it favours them. Most rich leftists are full of shit. Maybe one out of ten is actually a man of the people but that's about it.

>...it's fine that he doesn't hide how much money he's made. It's better than lying and claiming poverty.

Did you catch this clip?

Not like Heston is blameless
>Goes to a town to advocate gun rights thr day after a little girl died in a school shooting

>>Goes to a town to advocate gun rights thr day after a little girl died in a school shooting
It was actually 8 months after. Moore was careful how her worded that sequence:
>The NRA rally in Denver was right after the columbine shooting
>this was their annual meeting and that date was set over a year in advance, and it was pure coincidence the rally imemdiately follwoed the massacre
>the other shooting of the little girl was shot in flint
>the NRA arrived 8 motnhs later in flint for a "get out and vote" rally
>Moore left that fact out and instead simply narrated: "and again, just like after columbine, the NRA arrived in Flint

>Completely avoided the link between race and violent gun statistics
That would just show that white people does all the mass shootings

>this was their annual meeting and that date was set over a year in advance, and it was pure coincidence the rally imemdiately follwoed the massacre
Then they should have canceled it

You should of asked me 10 years ago when I was 17 and actually thought something of the man.
Now that I have grown up I realise how much of a shitstain this man really is.

>profited

He really didn't. People (from the industry and outside) turned on him and is now remembered as some gun nut instead of a movie legend annd civil rights activist.

That too is a media myth though, even if you count Hispanics as white. Virgina Tech, The Beltway sniper attacks, San Bernardino, Miami night club massacre, fort hood massacre, the other fort hood massacre, the navy yard shooting spree, and a large number of school shooters are nonwhite.

A lot of the smaller shootings are less sensational and have actual motives (gangs and drugs) rather than just crazy people, but because 4+ people were injured or killed they are counted as mass shootings. Since most violent gun crime is black on black this really pads the numbers.

>getting to the point
That it's easy to buy guns in America? BRAVO That really says nothing because such easy access is not unique to America, yet the gun violence problem is. These questions are actually easily answered by looking at stats correlating gun violence with race and the school shooter phenomenon is the extreme result of isolation among adolescent boys who are outcast often because of mixed ethnicity. As long as that fat fuck can't explain things for what they actually are he will just be another faggot liberal.

But that's wrong, he is remembered as a movie legend first everything else second.

So much fake news in one post

I wish liberals could approach gun violence and actually admit race is a factor in it, but they always shy away from this topic.

Fake news

Remember when whites did all the crimes in New York? When white people could just walk into an airport vault and stea millions? I wish we could back to that era, when white people did all the crime

Kino desu. Too bad the ending got so whiny and sentimental. It's crazy to look back at now that school shootings are so much the norm

how the fuck did a guy like corrola got successful in this world. he literally has zero talent and I don't know what his talent is suppose to be even. A comedian? A radio personality?

He was very funny and sharp on the radio about 15-20 years ago. Then he got old and rich and lazy.

why won't he house any illegal mexican is he racist or something

Based Beatles montage youtube.com/watch?v=V4u_2X4k4Vg

>and lives in a house like this
that's cool, he keeps it humble. working as a president of a nation doesn't mean you have to profit out of it and show it off
>he could have lived in the presidential palace but he chose to turn it into a shelter for the homeless
i'm not sure if i find it fine to turn a public institution into a hobo sleeping place tho

terrible landscaping

So you're saying you'd be more inclined to listen to a homeless man on the street lmao

>Lies,the post

>i'm not sure if i find it fine to turn a public institution into a hobo sleeping place tho
it wasn't a public institution. it was the president's residential palace.

>That Ben Stein documentary was a whole other level of insincere propoganda
I completely agree
>Sicko was good
no, that Ben Stein description applies to every single Michael Moore movie ever made
sounds blameless to me. Gun rights don't go away because some faggot killed a person. Your right to self defense and the right to be armed against the US government isn't gone because somebody misused their rights

>So you're saying you'd be more inclined to listen to a homeless man on the street?

Ok let me spell it out to make it easier for you. What would be the sweet spot house size he should live in for you to look past his the characteristic of his dwellings and critique his viewpoints? Do you get it now user?

I honestly thought his whole "sign your son up for the war" stint was illogical to the max.

I mean its not like the military were conscripting. Its a choice made by a conscious human.

His best movie and that's the worst he did of all his documentaries, including Fahrenheit 912

*911
Dunno how i messed that up

>attack on k-mart for selling 9mm ammo
This actually pissed me off and Im not even American.

Like what do you expect from a fucking Kmart? If they're allowed to sell something, they will. That goes for any business lol

People followed Jesus

good post
Sicko is (literally, not memetically) communist propaganda and Michael Moore is a deceitful con-artist
t. Cuban

>i don't know how to read official FBI and governmental statistics

kino moments in Michael Moore documentaries

>the crazy rabbit lady in Roger & Me
>the confrontation with Roger Smith
>taking the 9/11 workers to Guantanamo, getting rejected, then taking them all to fucking Cuba to get all their shit fixed
>getting the Catholic bishop to admit that capitalism is ungodly
