Out of all the new faces, new villains and heroes is she the only one who's popular?

Out of all the new faces, new villains and heroes is she the only one who's popular?

and by new let's say the last five years or so.

Although I heard gwenpoole and gwen spider were kind of making a splash but that was only really brief while ms marvel is still popular.

Jaime Rayes has done fairly well for himself
that new Ghost Rider is great
Gwenpool is still a thing that I'm reading
apparently "people" like Miles?
DC has a few new faces, I think they have a new asian Atom who's cute and fun

Because brown girl

Jaime Reyes took off well enough
Robbie Reyes has a cult following
I have met people who like Miles Morales, but I don't get it.
Kamala is great.

>Jaime Reyes
I know there are people that really like his comics but on the otehr hand they tend to get cancelled fairly quickly. It's the same for the blue beetle rebirth stuff right now isn't it?

DC does like pushing him in the cartoons and games though.

Because despite having Ms Marvels name (which had been left by the wayside for some time anyway, so it didn't feel like she was stealing it unfairly) she is her own character and doesn't feel like a cheap cash-in or editorially forced character.

It would have been very, very easy for Kamala to have been terribly mishandled. They have come close sometimes, and she keeps getting forced into big events that are not doing her any favors, but as a character she has managed to keep her head above water and she has a combination of an immediately recognizeable costume, neat powers, and a very earnest upbeat personality that is refreshing after so much goddamn gritty cynicism that comics feel I have to want just because I'm an adult.

Cho was solid, the biggest problem is that they nerfed his intelligence when he became the Hulk.

But banner was allowed to keep his super math

>gwenpoole and gwen spider were kind of making a splash

Spider-Gwen? Yes.

Gwenpool? Not even Tumlbr or Sup Forums likes it

Yup. It's why the character hasn't been as well received, since when he first showed up.

Oh shit. That looks like the first good piece of non-comic media she's in. Gotta buy that fig.

they nerfed his intelligence because the writers weren't intelligent enough to write him

It's got to be Jonathan Kent.

His series with Damian sells more then Ms. Marvel x2. Incredibly liked character.

Yeah, Jonathan is pretty great for sure

She's the only one that has left an impression on me, so I guess yeah.

Anyone have the image of tiny kamala on Miles' window sill?

...

Gweenpool on Sup Forums is 40% waifufags and 40% babies first fourth wall breaking.

I think she was in the current avengers cartoon

Blue Beetle has some popularity from being a major character in Young Justice S2 and several recent DC animated movies. His comics have never been terribly popular though and the Blue Beetle name has never been a book seller, even when Ted Kord was the one using it.

Marvel (read: Bendis) pushes Miles really hard despite his apparent unpopularity. Even if people don't like him, they know about him. He's just not a good character though and his role and purpose in 616 when there's already an active Spider-Man (or two or three depending on the time period) is unclear.

The All-New Ghost Rider, and Gwenpool are obscure characters with almost no mainstream presence, though. Even with his appearances on Agents of SHIELD, almost no one knows about Robbie. He has a few dedicated fans, but of the major legacy teen heroes that Marvel has created in the past five or so years, he's the least known.

I don't have much of an opinion about Gwenpool.

Gwenpool, Spider Gwen, Robbie Reyes, and Kate Bishop have all seen a decent amount of success.

So yeah, this figure is the first piece of GOOD non-comic content.

(Though desu I never checked out her lego incarnation. Dunno how that went.)

She sucks and G. Willow Wilson is a liar.

Which one of you is lying

Marvel thought Robbie and Gwen were both big enough sellers that they put them as headliners in Venomverse, so they must have at least a little popularity.

>Gwenpool? Not even Tumlbr or Sup Forums likes it
Nigga wut

Because she's kinda cute, s doing her own thing with the Ms. Marvel identity, and they didn't immediately ruin her by shoving her in everything...

But holy FUCK is she now over-exposed.

I wouldn't say Robbie is obscure, he just hasn't been given a chance. His first run only lasted 12 issues (which isn't much of a surprise given the state of Marvel) and his second run barely even had him in it (favoring Chulk and X-23 and being some weird New FF callback) and was canceled after only one arc. Ghost Racers only lasted a handful of issues too and it was part of an event. He's barely appeared in anything else.

>Sup Forums
>not liking gwenpoole
Found the out of touch fujoshi landwhale that hates on female characters that are popular with males

I like Moon Girl.

>Gwenpool? Not even Tumlbr or Sup Forums likes it

>tiny kamala

I need BIG Kamala

Maybe he's trying for the "wrongest poster on Sup Forums" award but he's nowhere close

She sure is, ISIS has been making better and better recruitment tools

I wish she was still being the Ghost Rider Rider instead of that cop out that I ended up getting.
Personality-wise, the both of them seem like a good fit, and I would love to see her interact with Gabe.

I read a few issues of this and it was really bad.
Why is she popular? Does her series get heaps better?

which issues did you read
I really like it because it reminds me of early Ditko Spider-man

Why does Kamala insist on permanently damaging trains and ferries and wasting their fuel for no good reason while she commutes?

does she actually gain mass when she embiggens? the only explanation for her powers is Pym Particles

>Moon-girl

The world wasn't ready for her. She was a good girl developing into a hero.

...

>Not even Tumlbr or Sup Forums likes it
Now that's a flat out lie.

Yeah sorry I missed the good part of yiur statement.
I don't know about lego but I agree the cartoon is trash

BIGGER.

She isn't popular, it's just media parroting their Sharia overlords.

Her book sells like 20,000 a month and just a few years ago that was cancellation range.

>HARAAM

Miles is relatively popular. Normies know about him more than Kamala.
Kamala= Popular in the community
Miles= Popular outside the community

Because she can't fly and she's not super fast. So she has to take public transportation.

Yes. And proportionate strength.

it's Pym Particles
it's got to be Pym Particles

Nope. Just terrigen mist.

I'm saying that her terrigen given Inhuman powers use Pym Particles to change her size

Jon is well received, but Ms. Marvel is way more popular. Not to mention that he is still a brand new character, let's first see how he will do in few years before we judge.

Also, let's not forget that SS doing well largely due to the fact that it's connected to both Batman and Superman.

Gwenpool is actually pretty well received and well loved.

(You)

Is she even considered new still? Her first series has been out for years. I liked her series. She's a cutie.

>She's a cutie.

>those people snapping blatant panty shots

Are you gonna tell a 30 foot tall teenager she can't do what she wants?

Who is the artist for moon-girl and ms. marvel comic?

>which had been left by the wayside for some time anyway, so it didn't feel like she was stealing it unfairly
I feel like this doesn't get brought up enough. It was actually a key to getting the fans on their side from the beginning, rather than immediately alienating them by having the legacy hero swoop in and take a hero's title right after they've been somehow kicked off of it. On top of that, I feel like it benefitted from not being a "legacy" story in the sense that the hero bestows the title on the up-and-comer immediately branding them with expectations they may not live up to. Kamala picks up the "Ms. Marvel" name because she's a fan, and she needed something to call herself, which was cool, because it allowed her story some independence at first.

Natacha Bustos

She is so beautiful and sweet.

Too bad her work on Moon Girl is just ok.

She's pretty good.

Well, she is a fresh take on Miss Marvel. And at the start, she has a likeable character and her background while it may be tacked on considering the time she was written, works out.

And yet to this day, she never has dealt with Deadpool directly. Not even a team up nor slinging insults at each other, none.

Gwenpool doesn't count.

Only delusional sjw thinks this piece of shit trash is popular

Every Ms. Marvel main book artist has drawn a better Kamala, and I haven't checked, but they'd probably draw a better Moon Girl as well. She's passable. That's the highest praise I can give. That puts her ahead of a lot of Marvel's current artists.

That's a matter of opinion.

What kind of artists do you like?

Incase.

How come none of the marvel heroes who have literally met God/Satan/etc bother to clue Kamala in?

He just a porn artist, no wonder why you like him.

Because there is other shitload of gods. They might as well exist too.

Because religion is all about comfortable lies, not about objective truth.
People just refuse to believe you if you declare their faith incorrect.

She's cute, interesting, and unique. I think it's her uniqueness that's caused her to have staying power, in an industry that basically can't stop ripping itself off whenever something new comes around (and it's good) people tend to really love it.

Kamala is horrible in everything
she's just Mr. Fantastic's powers and Hank Pym's size changing shenanigans while piggybacking off the real Ms. Marvel, who's just a terrible character to begin with

adding onto that, her costume is fucking awful. it looks like a shit cosplay, and I get that that's the point, it doesn't make it any less shit

you fags only like her because "muh waifu"

Other reply's not me, but I'll bite. I like David Finch, Ron Lim, Stuart Immonen, Adrian Alphona, Jack Kirby, and some of Steve Ditko and Frank Miller's stuff. Just what popped into my head in terms of books I've liked for the art before.

Nice copypasta

You forgot Incase.

Blue Beetle Rebirth was a mistake. Giffen was way out of his depth.
What happened to New 52 Beetle was unfortunate. That run deserved to continue.

Oh yeah, and Incase

Who?

>David Finch
Good.
>Ron Lim,
He got wacky faces. But, I like him
>Stuart Immonen,
Another good one.
>Jack Kirby
I know I going to yell at by a fat retard. But, He little overrated.
>Stevev ditko
He is okay.
>Frank Miller's
I find his artstyle to be unappealing at times.

the fuck yall talking about, her book barely sells.

Comics in general barely sell.

I know her outfit is a burkini to get around the usual skantily clad heroinewear for the sake of her modesty but I can't help but love the design.

It really puts emphasis on her hips.

>the only one who's popular?
The comic only sells 15 000... how is this "popular"

She's "popular"

Her book isn't doing well nor is any book she is in is doing well but alot of the books being pushed now by Marvel are purely for tokenism or to serve an agenda. Yes, even if you say it's not political Marvel is still putting out these comics for a point other than being popular.

She however is a cute character. They put the cute anime artists they have on the book, they do their best to make her cute outside of it, and when she is not drawn cute interest in her tanks.

So when people like her because she is cute. When you like a comic you like to think that it's selling well.

She is not selling well, anons, you just like the character. And she would not touch your filthy western pig-dick.

samefag

Not an argument

So, You admitting that you are samefagging.

You little bitch!

no the other guy is meI have no idea who this guy is, but its not me

TFW you realize that her embiggen catchphrase was taken from the Simpsons made up word. A noble spirit indeed embiggen the smallest of men. Noble would have been an excellent name for her.

Miles outsells her and outsells most Marvel solos.

And has an animated movie coming out

A spiderman title outselling most other books?

How in god's green earth could that be?

Well DP killed her in a whatif. But yeah no interaction.

That can only go so far when it's blatantly obvious that the Spider-Man in that comic isn't Peter Parker

i just made that up on the spot, m80
