What was his endgame? Did he want to give black people guns for them to kill all whites?
What was his endgame? Did he want to give black people guns for them to kill all whites?
not just blacks and not just white victims
Because he never got over his father's death and was angry at the world for what he perceived as being abandoned as a child
The "attack the oppressors" rhetoric was just an excuse to lash out and release the pent up anger that was festering his entire life
It's not complicated if you were actually paying attention and not throwing a spastic fit because "muh blacks"
>basically none of the black characters in the movie have fathers
I haven't seen the movie, do they actually bring up race?
Seems kinda ballsy for a marvel movie
As far as I can tell, his plan was to supply Wakandan munitions to operatives in New York, London, and Hong Kong. Those operatives would mobilize and probably take out the biggest financial centers in the world, then Wakandan military starts taking over.
It's some pretty ballsy Cobra Commander-level shit
The motive of the 'bad' guy is basically to kill whitey and have blacks rule the world. So yea, race is a bit of a theme.
It has more to do with economics than race
Hes fucking stupid, not even jews would attempt to fight all of whitey at once.
The villain wanted all people oppressed to rise up against their oppressors, of course Sup Forums will take that to mean JUST white people getting killed.
Race is blatantly brought up though when BP's sister calls Martin Freeman "colonizer",
They do explicitly multiple times, they lash out at black women straightening their hair. I'm surprised Disney let Coogler be so political.
Yeah, I feel like once you look past the initial racial rhetoric (which was partially genuine), he just really hated Wakanda and wanted to see it burn, but on a subconcious level. I don't think even he knew that's what he wanted. Killmonger was getting Wakanda to declare war on the rest of the Earth basically, and they eventually would've lost.
>"Bury me in the ocean with my ancestors who jumped from the ships, because they knew death was better than bondage."
The whole point of Killmonger's character was that he was fucking pissed that Wakanda didn't do shit for black people outside its borders for years
Since they used of Klau and Killmonger in one movie how bad is the sequel going to be
Even more so African-American vs African identity.
Killmonger is a typical manipulative overlord who wanted to use blacks as useful pawns to become the king of the world. Remember he was gonna be the ruler of this new black Earth it was a scheme to make his new world.
>Klau killed
>Killmonger dead
>Wakanda opens its borders and shares its technology
>Infinity War will fuck up the status quo so bad that nothing will matter
I've got the feeling Coogler didn't think he was getting a sequel
Kraven fought against BP in the comic
Coogler wanted him for the first BP movie but the rights are still with Sony.
>I've got the feeling Coogler didn't think he was getting a sequel
With how political this movie was I can see why he thought that. Still, tensions with the White Gorilla tribe can be mined for a movie and the diminishment of Wakanda after Infinity Wars will provide a new setup.
Well I hear infinity war uses time travel so I guess everything is getting retconned for the X-men and FF. No sense in a BP sequel if that isn't the case
Go watch the fucking movie again you cum-eyes
When will manlets learn?
>still hasn't stated what anime he watches besides Naruto and DBZ
>I’m 6ft
Hmmm
That quote is driving me nuts because I see people praising it everywhere but I hardly see it being mocked due to its paradox... If his ancestors killed themselves, he would not exist. Okay maybe they left their children alive on ship while they killed themselves? That's horribly selfish then, you've orphaned your own children.
They would've lost in a week. Or less.
>niggers can't swim
I hate stereotypes
Do you really take everything so literally? It’s the same as if a white person claims their ancestors did amazing things even though they aren’t even directly related to them
No that's also terrible. It's bad enough thinking you're special because you're related to someone who did something great but related to someone who was in the general location (whether in the same country or continent)? That's dumb. The feeling should be admiration. I'm not descended from the Greeks or Romans but I feel admiration for their accomplishments.
Because you didn't pay attention to the movie. Killmonger views all Africans as his brothers and sisters and he hates Wakanda for not thinking the same
How fucking insecure are most of you white people? He didn't even specifically say whites. Hell, one of the cities he had sleeper agents in was Hong Kong. You guys are so butthurt over this it's embarrassing, and more than usual
That shop is terrible. He's way Bigger than that in the movie
The scene where he's fighting Tchalla for leadership on the cliff side made me itchy as fuck, I hate bumpy skin and all those scars activated my autism
Those ritual combat scenes were actually really cool. I mean they didn't make much sense in the context of their "utopia" but I liked watching them
And yet he kills one of his black sisters for being in the way
The girlfriend? Yeah I actually didn't get that part either. Probably a part that got trimmed down
Just shit MCU writing/editing as usual, at least it wasn't as bad as some of their other films.
>but the rights are still with Sony.
I just kept thinking "And this is why martial prowess is a bad basis for choosing your leaders."
If they succeeded as a society all these centuries by abstaining from war and focusing on technology and social services, why do they A) Still have a monarchy and B) Make sure the king is also the greatest warrior in the land.
Do they consider his test scores too, or is that just useless compared to being able to spear another person to death.
It even comes up in the movie, where the king also being the greatest warrior has his advisors tell him "you really shouldn't be going out there and risking your life punching people and trashing lexuses, we actually need a political leader right now"
Yeah. they brought it up a lot actually. Right from the beginning when Killmonger goes to a museum and starts freaking out about a vibrium weapon. "i'm going to steal it from you and kill, because your ancestors stole it from my ancestors and killed them. Also you have everyone in this museum watching me cause i'm black"
I'm not joking. It goes there that fast. Pretty much everyone they beat up who is a thug besides killmonger is a white guy.
The movie lacks any logic, even for a Comic book movie. It basically... is retarded.
How many black people in real life, have ever had an endgame? They are impulsive creatures only.
>there’s a literal chimp out
>economics
