I mean, it sucks that he died so young but he really wasn't that great. Him and Churchill has similar enough styles.

I wish he was still alive, but I'm too much of a thiccfag, but I can't find that stringy style of cheesecake arousing. It's just aesthetically ugly. I hate that sort of sketchy look even when it's not cheesecake too though.

No, we lost Darwyn Cooke far too soon.

I fapped way to much to the thong lines he always added to his girls.

And Mike Wieringo.

That artstyle is trash for non-porn comics.
Nice sameface.

Supergirl and Artemis fighting for jason

Ummm no???
He was another cis white male that loved to objectify women.
I say good riddance to that desu

I miss bimbo Supergirl. Ed McGuinness was her best artist though.

This.

A million times

Michael Turner was a shit artist and we're all better off now that he's a rotting corpse.

this desu

His torsos were gross as fuck.

Dat leotard on the right is pretty damn sexy

Awful coloring though whoever did it.

He was shit. Not that he deserved to die for it or anything, but he was fucking awful.

We did. He's the greatest comic artist in my opinion. He makes heroes look heroic. And I love his coloring too, how the metals shined and the colors didn't blur together. He was really amazing. I wish his ghost would possess me and give me his talent.

Can I just say, the 2000's DC girls were really the most banging?

Or too soon, if you have any taste.

Fuck Turner and his shitty company. Zero good comics produced, ever. Dozens of shitty copycat artists created.

Hell, that page and the Supergirl scene at the docks were the first time I ever fapped to a comic, or anything 2d really.

I'm gonna need to see that page.

This. Look at their waists. Just look at them. He obviously doesn't know what to do with them so he just makes them straight lines.

One of the greatest to ever do it. I'm glad we still have land, chi, etc. But Michael, wherever you are, you were the best.

This is true user

>Cooke would never draw another Hex story

Superman/Batman (2004) issue 8 I think. There's a couple of pages before and after, but you get the gist. Especially the animated version, really got the gears grinding.
Guess I've always had an ENF/Exhibition fetish.

I'm sure he was a cool dude and I don't wanna insult him personally or anything but his art is like if Rob Liefeld improved his anatomy but only a little bit and still kept his shitty style.

Was never a big fan of his, but he was a cool guy. I got to meet him and Peter Steigerwald during an event. He shared a story from his childhood with the group I was with: apparently he grew up in a really rural area, and he could sit on his back porch and shoot squirrels in the woods behind his home... squirrels that would sometimes serve as the family's dinner. I chatted with him for about 1/2 an hour and was struck with just how humble and down-to-earth he was.

Again, not a fan of his stuff, but I still mourn the loss of an all-around good guy.

He wasn't a great artist but he was an artist with a creative vision, something that was uniquely his. His Aspen comics like Fathom and Soulfire have a sense of magic, beauty and wonder to them that no other comic has. And other creators have been inspired to keep that vision alive even with him gone. I don't think he shone when he drew for Marvel and DC but when he's in full control of the product you see what he was going for.

Some of the responses in this thread are truly edgy, but they're not a Sup Forums thing, they're a comics thing, everybody thinks it's fine to shit on a guy who died at 37 because they didn't like his art. A reminder of how comics really have the worst fanbase of any medium.

>the worst fanbase of any medium
exists ya know.

Only one or two edgelords are making fun of him dying. Some of us think his art was shit, regardless of his unfortunate death, because it was. Just look at that black girl in the OP image. That's just fucking amateurish shit that has no business being in an actual comic book.

Fuck off Land is cancer, Turner had problems with wise but was otherwise great.

Define 'style' in this context?
No his anatomy is 50 times better then Liefeld's even with the waist issues and his line work is 500 fucking times more refined, focused and precise.

>wise
Waist I meant to say.
I'm not seeing the real issue. Her waist is better then some of the others, hair is good.
Nose is iffy but it's a background character, she isn't meant to be as in focus as the rest.

>I'm not seeing the real issue
What the fuck? Look at her goddamn torso and the size of her head. And that awkward as fuck posture, with the arm sticking out like that. It's almost Liefeld-tier.

I respect all the stuff Turner accomplished in his short time, but I didn't like his art at all. Cancer fucking sucks regardless and nobody deserves that shit. Especially a young creative mind like that. Even though I wasn't a fan it sucks that others that were and the industry as a whole lost someone with that kind of drive.

This one still hurts me deep.

This is surprisingly eloquent and is not the kind of thing I'd normally expect to see here.

That being said I hated Turner's art but yeah it sucks he got dealt such a shitty hand.

jesus christ
what the fuck is this bullshit

good art in a thread about a bad artist

>comparing titties
>same pose because "heroism"
>one is even doing the naruto stance
eh, it sold so i guess i can't really complain anymore

>Especially the animated version, really got the gears grinding.
???

>naruto stance
What a fucking retard.

What's some /essentialKaracore/?
