Motherfucker it's never been about free shit. It's about guaranteeing subsistence for your work. At least to me. You don't work you dont eat, you have to put in something or else you are a burden on the society. When you need healthcare you are healed, when you need food you are fed, when you need shelter you are housed. This shit is not free because you partake in society you must contribute to the society. That's why even though im a liberal I think the welfare system is fucked up (intentionally to keep minorities and poor whites under the heel of the democrata) it does not give them work. I've drawn up plans for community service occupations in exchange for welfare benefits, including a pathway out of the system by encouraging savings.
The result would be the taxpayers who are paying for this welfare see it going towards bettering the community parks and business districts and eventually moving people off of welfare. Unfortunately most of my other liberal friends see this as a form of fascism or as a reinstitution of slavery.
