poll rigging happens when they give a certain political or social group an over-representation in the numbers, basically for every one R they poll, they poll 8 D, I believe, so even in this rigged system if he was so ahead of her as to be this close in the polls it means he is actually winning... They tried to demoralise us with these polls, but they don't understand that even if Trump was 50 points down, his base would still vote for him. In contrast, artificially inflating Clinton's numbers has lead to her real numbers falling further as her base become complacent. So now we see them finally leave the sample alone, let the Trump surge happen, and pray that it shocks Clinton supporters hard enough into turning out.

No, it's USC that does the poll, it only has the LA Times' name on it because they have the right to report it. USC are fairly unbiased, no matter how shit the rest of the LA Times is.

The funny thing is, most of that's probably not even from the email thing. It takes 3 days at best to start reflecting events in polling, but generally takes a week for the full impact to be reflected.

Most of that bump is probably still the Obamacare premium hikes.

I think it's a generational thing: Millennials were raised drowning in media, and that constant exposure has given us a degree of immunity that Gen X just didn't have. It's why both Sanders and Trump were able to do what they did (the Dems just happened to have better safeguards in place to prevent an outsider takeover.)

We've explained hundreds of times the thought process of the pollsters. They are cooked but they are selectively cooked. They have to have some semblance of realism sometimes to not lose all credibility. Hence why the ABC poll went from Clinton +12 to +1 in the span of a week after the FBI news was broke, but before it could even be reflected in the polling. It is up to us to logically determine when the polls are being honest.
