it wasn’t

Based Rock

It was better than Frozen imo

WHAT CAN I SAY
EXCEPT YOU'RE WELCOME

oh I think you'll find it was

the scene with the pirate coconuts was unnecessary.

music and visuals were good.
overall good pixar movie

I mean non-Pixar Disney movie

He's the epitome of Chad

but that scene provided some excellent visuals

BEACHED

I just wanted to see her titties and jerk myself off with her hair.

>he didn't consider the coconut

Just a reminder, we won't have another non-sequel/remake Disney animation this decade.

Fuck them for cancelling this so we can have shit like a live action Lady and the Tramp

...

Great animation, decent plot, ok songs. Overall better than frozen but the songs aren’t as good. Overall worse than tangled but tangled is the best non Pixar thing Disney has made in 20+ years so

I'm astonished I haven't seen Maui shopped with a Nintendo Switch.

They had huge struggles with where to take the storyline. I think the same thing happen the other project Newt.

>live action lady and the tramp
how the fug are they gonna do that?
is it gonna be like those snow buddies movies where they animate the dogs talking? or are they just gonna have the dogs talk via mind reading like homeward bound?

Newt has been in development for what? at least 10 years

>They had huge struggles with where to take the storyline.
How do you struggle creating a kids story? Just half ass it like they do a majority of their work.

I liked the songs but 'How far I'll Go' dominated the film way too much, didn't need it sung 3 times. Felt like they were trying too hard for the next 'Let it Go'

I always find it interesting how much it got re-written. Judging by the cut songs and early artwork, Maui was originally worshipped and would train Moana (the fact he caused everything to go to shit was likely a secret). The father had a more supportive role, there was less 'WE WERE SAILORS' and Moana was more of a bored rebellious teenager.

The cynic inside of me makes me think that the motivation for the changes (aside from building it more around How Far I'll Go), was to lessen the roles of the male characters and promote the female ones.

Newt died because it was too close to Rio

I think the problem they had was that the girl was too young to be a princess (so you couldn't have little girls being bought nice dresses pretending to be her) and aging her up would make for awkwardness and you couldn't do the 'keeping him as her pet'.

Some user said that Dreamworks had something too similar in the works which was the last straw but he was probably bullshitting (although don't Dreamworks have a pretty empty schedule at the moment?).

>delicious brown girls
>GETTING LITTY with the rock
>shiny crab
>bad ass lava monster
>delicious brown girls
>nonsensical polynesian drivel being sung on a boat but somehow it's still catchy
>roided up, tatted up macho man that steals the show and is the deification of testosterone-fueled manliness
>delicious brown girls with pit/feet shots

How in the world could this movie not dp well? Frozen is total shit compared to this. For real. Rewatch Frozen. The music is terrible now.

t. capeshitter

>delicious brown girls
Brown girls are the cutest.

there was a scene with pirate coconuts?

...shit, you're right. I didn't even remember seeing that until just now. Why was that in there?

i felt like that scene was just filler \desu

How was he the hero again? He tried to kill her more than once.

i didnt know about this, just made a quick search and its a shame they cancelled cause it seemed interesting

amazing hair gfx

I think Maui would have been a better protagonist than Moana. I notice this and Frozen suffers a bit from constant re-writes.
