I loved one and two. Great stories. Dark shadows and 4 were atrocious.
Cast one and two. Who else thinks the first two stories could be adapted to the screen?

Garrett's VA is pretty iconic, I can't really imagine anyone else doing it. And the setting is so strange it wouldn't have much mass appeal.
The tone and the music of 1 and 2 is something you just wouldn't be able to capture in a film made today. That industrial music and weird setting with weird creatures, budget would be too high without mass appeal
SUCH SLANDER WILL NOT BE TOLERATED WHILE WE ARE ON WATCH
You wouldn't have to have a large budget for it. Some parts of it would obviously need cgi. But low budget could produce something comfy as fuck. I'd kill for a reboot of this. But they would fuck it up like always.
WARMING UP THE STABLE BOY!
Can't run this kino on 64bit operating system. Why even bother living?
did you use tfix?
using thee gog release?
>I'd kill for a reboot of this
they did
it was horrible
Yeah I mentioned 4 or it was just called thief. It was utter shit.
Was it a reboot if dark project? I seem to remember it was a different protagonist with some whore as his sidekick.
Fuck off video games are not art
Moron
Half the original cutscenes were rotoscoped actors in black silhouette. You could make a cartoon adaptation of Thief with a shoe-string budget.
>you will never be enveloped by Viktoria's vines
Nigga lost an eye there.
Rotoscope? It was more of a sketch style, barely even animated. Yet they were awesome for what it was.

look at the figures from 0:50 on. It's a mixture of traditional key frame animation, digital tweening, and rotoscoping.
Kek and saved. I love Thief, especially The Metal Age. The new one was terrible, I couldn't finish it.
I love this. There's just no artistry these days.
Yeah I was wondering how can you translate Thief into a tv show, since it could easily go with that format considering it has a lot of interesting content.

Could it work like those cutscenes?
>The Trickster is dead. Beware the dawn of Thief 2: The Metal Age (tm), produced by Looking Glass Studios, now available on PC CD-ROM.
I turned the game off.
Well the setting would make for an awesome series. The game's story itself not so much.
>we will never get a miniseries about Garrett stealing the Gems of Sarnoth
It can take a bit of research but it definitely runs on 64-bit systems. I've ran it on my current and on my last laptop, 64 bit Windows 10 and 7 respectively.
Now T2X (great fan mad game), that is a complete pain to get working. But worth it.
I thought Deadly Shadows was good myself. Haven't played 4 but it looked awful. Thief 2 is my favourite though.
when my little brother played it he would spend hours murdering people and erupt in laughter every time Garret would protest, shit was funny
I can see it doing well on Netflix. I'd want enough of a budget for more practical effects, minimal cg, and narrative space for characterization of Garrett and the city. A movie would be too compressed of a time frame to do it justice.
Taffer!!!
Arrow to the Knee.
I finished deadly shadows, it was a bit too cartoonish, like the guards voices. The asylum level was fucked up when stoned. I didn't like the sword replaced with the shitty dagger.
2 is still amazing... Story was amazing, Fucking based Benny. The open ending... I could definitely see a mini series or something. Perhaps not a movie though.
What is TX 2 about?
