I met a guy who believed his left hand was not his hand. He believed it was the hand of a murderer. I could do nothing for him bar send him to therapists and shit. I sent him on his way and never saw him again, assuming he was fine. About 6 months later I got a message from the therapist saying he's cured now... do you know why he was cured? Because he went abroad and had his hand surgically removed. He's now perfectly 'normal' with a prosthetic. You have no fucking clue how infuriating gender dysphoria is to medfags. We have no cure for it. If therapy doesn't work, we're fucked. So we're left with one option, hormones. It doesn't always work but it's the best treatment we got. As for Canadians, they've just taken it further by making the lack of treatment for a mental disorder to be a criminal act, just like not treating schizophrenics is. I've met one person with 'gender dysphoria' in my time, he was a 6'4 builder, built like a brick shithouse, came in complaining on back pain and as he was leaving he said something like 'Oh by the way, what do I do if I want to become a woman?' and I got him to sit down, asked him shit, then sent him off to the psychfags and they then shift him around for months on end before he either snaps out of it or comes back with a letter going 'Give him hormones lmao'.

Again, not defending it, just explaining. Even if there was a perfect machine that turned you into the genetic equivalent of a woman/man, the person is very unlikely to be happy anyway. There is something wrong with their wiring. Even if they were a perfect XX/XY human they would still be upset they were BORN the way they were, rather than what they wanted to be. If we had such a machine it would be used but such a machine does not exist and would not be a perfect cure because this is a mental disorder (as far as we know).

And I don't. I send the guy/gal to a psychotherapist who decides if they're suffering from gender dysphoria and if HRT will help them. The only thing I do, sadly, is sign prescriptions that give them their HRT medication. I have no choice in that matter. I could be sued and lose my job otherwise. Thankfully they've been rare in my career. I think the guy I mentioned moved away so he's somebody else's problem. I've met loads of people with mental problems. I met two parents who were 11/10's in appearance, both of them, they had a kid. The kid was so ugly, so terribly ugly, that they were suicidal and self-harming. Humans are weird creatures user and we (Medical Community) don't know it all. So we do what we can. Come up with a solution to the problem and keep in mind that everything costs and we'll switch to that, but such an option doesn't exist. It's therapy and then HRT and in extreme cases, SRS. I don't make the rules. Complain to your governments if they do this because if you're in a Western country, they follow the same treatment path as every other one.
