>Wife killed in robbery gone wrong, no rape. >One of the thugs actually stops the other from raping the daughter. >Thugs are all white. >Daughter doesn't go insane, actually recovers and goes to college. >Mainly kills his wife's killers and genuinely nasty guys like the rapist carjackers and the child-killing drug dealer. >Actually gets revenge and then stops vigilanting.
Why was this so controversial? It's actually softer than the original.
Adam Turner
Because unlike the original it glorifies vigilante justice.
Nolan Bailey
>implying the original didn't
People in the movie were on Kersey's side and he got away scot-free, with indication that he's gonna keep doing it.
Dominic Howard
People are really forcing themselves to believe the original Death Wish was satire, aren't they?
Blake Miller
You can blame Death Wish 3 for that.
Charles Roberts
ReWatch the original and the sequels and then tell me its all just satire.
Evan Murphy
>your last customer Everyone in the theater gasped or went OOOOOHHH
Nolan Brown
you saw it and these things happened? I could tell from the trailer it was going to be action schlocky and not keep the grittyness of the original. Does it at least have the escalation of force? Does Bruce get to kill anyone with a sock full of quarters?
Xavier James
Of course they hate it, it promotes "toxic masculinity" because the lead wants to protect his family instead of asking Justin Trudeau to do it for him.
Josiah Torres
Ice Cream Man kill was kino.
Wyatt Rivera
He mostly shoots people. Tortures one guy with a scalpel and brake fluid and then crushes him with a car like the trailer shows.
Parker Adams
>all those niggas that flood in to grab the drugs after

I think people are tired of movies like this. It belongs in the 90's with all the other "average man gets revenge" films. The original Death Wish did well because it was released during the crime wave that was happening in the US. That's why it resonated with people. This one doesn't have that.
Hunter Perry
The novel it's based on was literally satire. That's why the author hard the original movie.
Aiden Roberts
the original has a much different feel to the sequels
Christian Williams
You could trick people into thinking the original is satire if they're young or just culturally unaware. The sequels are just softcore porn for fat white middle aged dudes who believe everything television has told them.
Jaxson Wood
Author hated*
Jeremiah Torres
>That's why the author hard the original movie. how hard are we talking exactly?
Nolan Harris
And that's a good thing
Michael Richardson
>Thugs are all white. Is this some kind of BLM fantasy?.
Aiden Edwards
It's a way to not get called racist.
Hunter Bell
I still can't believe Mancow was in the movie. Fuckin' love listening to him on the radio.

Connor Smith

Cooper Diaz
>>Thugs are all white.
Is this science-fiction ?
Michael Hernandez
Yeah because he had already gone bonkers on account of the killing (not a good thing).
James Anderson
so is this genuinely worth paying $12 to see in the theater, or just kind of a generic action flick?
Can't tell shit from the """"critics"""" or audience's rating. I like Willis of course.
Jace Walker
Turd hasn't been on the show in nearly 18 years. He's a garbage man now.
Alexander Ortiz
>The original Death Wish did well because it was released during the crime wave that was happening in the US. That's why it resonated with people. This one doesn't have that. The modern news cycle deludes people into thinking crime is ubiquitous in society. For reference, consider the un-american gungrabbing commies now demanding - louder than ever before - the outlawing of certain firearms, despite the homicide rate (by firearm and any other means) being lower today than it was before the crime-wave of the 1970s and 1980s.
Statistics don´t sway normal people. If they did, preachers and Diane Feinstein would be out of a job.

Some movies do age so badly, that they feel more comedic than originally intented. For an example I can't watch Soylent Green without thinking it is a comedy.
Nolan Edwards
So how /ourguy/ do? Was he great in it or merely good?
Colton Adams
you too namefag
Benjamin Mitchell
I don't know who this is, but he was pro kill the bad guys the entire time so I liked him. What I really loved was how all the black radio/tv people were also on the reapers side.
Logan Russell
What's wrong with IPA's?
Parker King
the american cultural experience involves internalizing movies and music into your sense of self. generations of consumerism have successfully lead people to believe they're (at least partially) an amalgamation of the things they buy, or buy into.
which would be fine because people should be free to view themselves however, but it has a gross side effect where peoples' brains get scrambled and suddenly they feel personally invested in commercial properties to unhealthy degrees. this board is full of people who view Disney movies as existential avatars for themselves, and their personal validation is based on whether some families go see that movie over a holiday weekend or stay home.
It's stupid. So I don't like anything and you shouldn't either. I just came to this thread because I trust white supremacists to give a better caliber of review and commentary for this movie
John Gray
>I think people are tired of movies like this
You can't get "tired" of things that are extremely rare.
>the crime wave that was happening in the US
Just like now. Picture related.
Elijah Barnes
His entire family being raped and murdered is bad. Getting revenge is good. Vigilantes are heroes.
Adam Butler
>Just like now. Picture related. The crime wave you "feel" is happening?
Jack Campbell
The crime wave that is happening. Your statistics are all lies. The Coward County sheriff has been caught red handed covering up the crimes of criminals, to drive the statistics down. If you think that only happened in one county in the entire country, then you are stupid.
People should just ignore this and watch Death Sentence instead. It's definitely a dad movie (power fantasy for 45+ old white dudes) but it's still entertaining.
Cameron Gonzalez
>everything is fake news
Gavin Reed
>It's stupid. So I don't like anything and you shouldn't either. I think I'd rather shoot myself if I got that cynical. Also, the kind of people you're talking about are either not very smart or already off their rocker. I can guarantee not all Americans hinge their entire identity on what they consume.
Noah Morales
Students shouldn't be going to jail, though - unless it's a crime like murder or robbery. There are plenty of penalities that could be enacted that don't result in a stupid kid having their life ruined.
Reminder that if the police caught wind of you doing half the torrenting, smoking weed or pirating you do, you'd be jailed as well.
Nicholas Torres
>hating on Death Wish 3 It's like the American counterpart to the original Mad Max.
Benjamin Reyes
That's Mancow. Real life Radio dj in Chicago
Julian Sullivan
>I don't know who this is He's an extreme right wing nazi that hates immigrants, women, gays and blacks. He has a step 'n fetchit Uncle Tom as a sidekick that laughs at all of this racist remarks and he thinks that makes it ok to say all that. He believes in nearly every single conspiracy theory that you can think of. He believes that the government watches him via black helicopters.
Carter Perry
So /ourguy/?
John Wilson
Not everyone who is arrested goes to jail, user.
Julian Rivera
nope
Benjamin Robinson
>Students shouldn't be going to jail, though
And I thought democrat socialists and communists were bad. Millennial SJWs like you are turning into straight out anarchists. Democrats have no plan to fix America. So you are just going to destroy it. Destroy our borders, destroy our laws. Let muslims and mexicans invade. Pure anarchy. You are all traitors and deserve death.
Justin Parker
Life is a game filled to the brim with glitches. Racism is satire and violence is a second language. We will all respawn one day
Aaron Allen
Please tell me about your zero crime life record, and the perspective you had when you were 13-17. Please, tell me. Look down at us, perfect one.
If you give a kid a criminal record, they're fucked for life. You've put them with the gutter trash for their whole life. Scare them, and give them harsher punishments if they are caught post 18. For serious fucking crimes like murder, kidnapping, robbery, etc. it still makes total sense to jail them.
Bentley Nelson
>Please tell me about your zero crime life record
I have a zero crime life record. Was that suppose to be hard? It wasn't.
>Look down at us, perfect one.
You are scum. It's easy to look down on you. You are nation wreckers.
Josiah Torres
>I am a no-morals thief, therefore everyone else is as well Are you unable to imagine the fact that some people actually respect the property rights of artists and refuse to engage in theft?
Kevin Howard
White people commit the most crimes. I seriously doubt that you have never been arrested.
Joshua Gomez
>I seriously doubt that you have never been arrested. >I am a complete degenerate that cannot even obey the social contract and follow the law, everyone else is too!!!!1!
Caleb Green
>I seriously doubt
You are completely retarded. What you "doubt" doesn't matter. You are defending a criminal government conspiracy that directly led to the mass murder of 17 people. You shouldn't even have the power to vote.
Dylan Cruz
>Nearly every single serial killer is a white man >Nearly every single mass shooter is a white man
Really makes you think.

Rapes always bummed me out so I’m cool with them taken that out what’s wrong with them taking the rape out? His wife is dead regardless of if she’s raped or killed in a robbery so what’s the point if it still motivates him to seek vigilante justice?
Kevin Reed
Nothing wrong. OP is arguing that, despite the backlash, the remake is tamer than the original. The original had rape and intentional murder, the remake has no rape and semi-accidental murder.
Luis Nelson
>Students shouldn't be going to jail, though
You are exactly what Heinlein wrote about in Starship Troopers. You are the problem.

Thank you, modern emergency response practices.
Jace Adams
I saw this movie yesterday and it was a 5 or 6 at best. Bruce Willis was ok during the action parts but he was absolutely awful anytime he had to portray any kind of emotion. They spent far too long getting to the action and the family parts were really poorly done because of the shitty writing and terrible performances by everyone except Vincent D'Onofrio. The daughter should have died with the mother and they should have done it much sooner.
The original was much better.
Leo Cook
You completely failed to refute one word of it. Typical. Heinlein was right. He warned us, but we didn't listen.
Gavin Gonzalez
I was criticizing the writing, not the ideas. His prose is nothing but self-aggrandizing self-inserts.
But since you asked, I don't think the issue is that we don't spank kids. It's that parents have lost the power to parent. The state teaches them horseshit at school, then they pick up more horseshit on the internet and social media. Going against these social pressures is a monumental task, and "just don't let them do it" isn't an option anymore because it's literally infected every part of our lives.
Kevin Bennett
Bruce is getting old, he forgot his sign.
Ayden Adams
Probably just highlighting that soys are beer snobs, in general. But IPAs do have the highest hops levels, and hops contain like half the amount of phytoestrogens that soy contains, so I assume it’s a natural extension of soy boy memes.
I heard a rumor that monks used to brew different beers for different reasons. Dopplebocks were supposed to be for times of fasting, since they were calorie dense, and weren’t forbidden during a fast. Also, hoppy beer was brewed because of its tendency of lessening aggression and promoting celibacy by lowering sexual desire. Idk if that’s true, though.
Justin Richardson
Die hard
Sebastian Allen
once again critics are so #outoftouch

Points to skinny friends who drink soda, say I’m retarded. >30% of my state smokes. People readily form identity surrounding things like cigars or weed. >Every American male I meet (especially Mexican “Americans”) thinks your value is judged on how nice your (american) car is
Yeah sure, this isn’t common place. And it’s not like there isn’t a dozen or more things I could list.
Mason Thomas
Is this absolute numbers? Because the US obviously had a population boom the last couple of decades, which would bring higher crime numbers with it. Show me these numbers per capita
Brody Fisher
Nothing, if you like it. It's just stout fans pretending that they are not equally as elitist over their beer as IPA fans. Every soyboy I ever met says they're too bitter anyway.
Mason Smith
This has been going on for pretty long, Trayvon Martin was free to rob houses because of a similar law made by the Obama administration, look it up.
Aiden Reed
It's no coincidence that the 1990s were when most states adopted "Shall Issue" concealed carry laws.
