The over-arching lesson from this election is that Democracy is a failure. Democracy is the rule of the elite over the people through the control of the flow of information. This information is filtered through the MSM news outlets, movies, television shows, radio, generic book publishing companies, talking heads, commercials, newspapers, journals, text-book publishers, and so forth. All of it ultimately funded with usury profit via the Fed, fractional reserve banking, etc.
Hillary's corruption is not exceptional, it's just that for once a mainstream politician is getting a little sunlight. That's the only thing that makes this election different from those previous.
Trump is a once-in-a-century black swan event in world politics. At the end of it all he will have to leave office, and without a vast systemic change to our entire government structure nothing will truly be solved.
What does Sup Forums feel is the real solution to this dilemma? There are many shades of democracy and many shades of capitalism (inb4 'muh republic'). What system do you propose? What solutions, be they big or small; reforms or tweaks?
> What system do you propose? A constitutional republic with power divided between the various semi autonomous states and the national Union of states. There would be a 2 house legislative system. In the lower house, the number of representatives from each state is based on the state's population. In the upper house, each state gets the same number of representatives; say 2. There is an executive branch, the head of which being the head of state. To elect this magistrate, each state must hold a vote, and the winner is assigned a certain number of "electorates". The number of these electorates is based on the number of representatives each state has, but no less than 3. There is also a judicial system on the national level, with powers to check both the legislative and executive powers and to interpret the constitution and law of the land. The constitution and governments of the various states will be based on this national system.

Democracy requires a minimum IQ of 90 to function. Higher IQ means better democracy.
The Democrats have been piling up refugees and immigrants from all sorts of low-IQ countries for use as voting fodder and the destructive force meant to get rid of Christianity and any form of self-sufficiency.
Get rid of the mudslimes and the niggers, then have another gander at the success rate of democracy.

>this republic failed so let's make a new republic You dumb fucker. Either you keep the current system, abolish the IRS and FED, establish a gold-backed currency and only allow male taxpayers to vote, or you go full fascism BUT with significantly less regulation of firearms to create a check-and-balance between statesmen and dictator. Anything in between is destined to lose. The reason countries fail is not because of a lack of input from citizens, but solely because the leader at the head, regardless of how much power he has, has failed.

This is actually a good post.
Absolute monarchy deserves a second look, as does other more restrained forms of monarchy. Fascism is more a political ideology than a specific form of government.
