ok, Sup Forums, Im on a kind of sci-fi/horror binge right now. In the past week, I've watched Black Mountain Side, Annihilation, and Ex-Machina. Recommend me some movies that are in the same vein. I might give The original "The Thing" a go, but i want to hear others opinions.

BLACKED MOUNTAIN
Alien?
seen it, obviously
This is kinda similar to The Thing.
But you haven't seen the thing?
Also check out Pandorum
I liked this one. Also, check out Bone Tomahawk if you haven't seen it. Also has a Thing vibe and Kurt Russell.
The Last Winter (2006) - Another snow-kino horror like Black Mountain Pass and The Thing.
Was going to make a thread asking for more snow-kino but you pretty much beat me to it.
>I might give The original "The Thing" a go
If you honestly haven't seen it before, I envy you the experience.
Check out Ravenous, and I'd also consider hateful 8 to be snow kino
What year, I cant find a trailer?
Serviceable, but the whole movie's set in a gas station, and that limitation really makes it something not worth watching.
It's been a long time since I've seen this, but I remember not understanding it at all. I think there was a really cool scene with an undead elk stampede?
Yup, Elk Stampede.
Seen both of them, both great. Ravenous is so damn funny.
Ravenous (1999)
>Black Mountain
>BLACKED MOUNTAIN
is..is it any good?
>Ravenous
based
>ting ting ting ting ting
>dong dong dong dong schting
>ting ting ting ting ting ting
>dong donk dong dong
>When a virologist becomes infected with a new, dangerous bacteria, he decides to quarantine himself in his home and fight to find a cure and reunite with his family.
>Ravenous is so damn funny.
Actors are fucking flawless. At least the important dudes. Lost dude genius fucking kills it. Also the tempo of the movie is just great. Not many movies manage to end up with a good flow. This one fucking does. Good ride.
watch the void now
i would have kicked that talking deer in the balls tbqh
>A girl with a robotic arm who lives secluded in a house in the woods with the only company of her father and a wolfhound finds among the trees a mysterious cubic device with the ability to change the past.
It was a parasite in their brains user..
like that would stop me
does she go back in time to kill hitler? nooo!
>To save hitler
Fixed it for u user
He got to Argentina just fine on his own.
Have I got a treat for you
How did you watch annihilation?! It's still in theatres isn't it?
yes, I went to the theater. I went there ALONE too
Is black mountain scary? Is there a monster? Or is the antagonist sanity or some bullshit
Theres a bacteria that makes them act crazy. its worth a watch because the whole movie, the characters are acting dumb, and you think its just a shitty script, but then you realize they were acting that way literally because of a parasite
This might be obvious to some people, but I've seen a lot of user's interpret this scene in a way I think is incorrect.
The bear isn't using her voice to lure them as prey. Sheppard is the bear now. The bear is Sheppard. It tried to kill Anya because she was going to kill the others. Sheppardbear is saving them. It's saying "Help me" in a straightforward manner. Sheppardbear wants its friends to help it.
idk, it only scrambles dna, and her body was clearly visble, partially eaten. But maybe youre right. In any case its scary as fuck.
My interpretation is that its a half man half bear half pig
By original, you mean the one from the 50s or the one from the 80s? The one from the 80s is absolute must drop everything and watch immediately type film.
I didn't care for this movie, other people seem to like it. Definitely wouldnt say it reminds me of The Thing in any way though.
Going to second Ravenous, Pandorum, and Event Horizon. The Cube movies are pretty good, the movie Moon, Donnie Darko, Dark City. The Mist is worth watching. Fire in the Sky for some ayylmao spoops. Kinda all over the place, just some random picks I think are good.
Black Mountain Side was boring as fuck and not the least bit scary.
I'm surprised this many people on Sup Forums even saw Black Mountain side. I was the guy who posted the web-dl when it came out.
