Why in a Star Wars cartoon is there a clone trooper who has color on his armor, dual wields pistols, and wears a skirt?

Ask Genndy.

ask lucas actually

All the commanders dual wield since Jango trained them he just never thought that maybe they needed to use a rifle.

ITS CALLED A KAMA

hasbro came up with the design for genndy wars because they wanted a new clone toy

What can I say im a sucker for toyetic designs

I had the gun ship and all the ARC troopers

>color on his armor
clones seem to use color to denote rank
>dual wields pistols
a lot of people think its cool, and for captain rex it helped establish personality
>and wears a skirt?
its kind of roman-esque

Don't forget that with the ammo capacity of most blasters in the star wars universe and I believe relatively low-recoil, about the only thing that makes dual wielding impractical is just aiming two guns effectively,.

but the real question is which blaster pistol looks cooler?

his left one

>A kama was a flexible leather armor accoutrement worn from the belt. Inspired by the belt-spats of the Thyrsus Sun Guard, but adapted for wear by Mandalorian warriors, the kama became a traditional garment and recognized symbol of Mandalorian culture.

But for real the man skirts on troopers (and the Mass Effect armor) is my favorite design aesthetic.

yeah me too I liked it so much I spent $200 on a toy

>nukes your ham radio

>clones seem to use color to denote rank

That's how it started out. But then it changed early on in the war to denote which battalion was which.

501st = blue, 212 = orange, 327th = yellow, 41st = green, Galactic marines = burgandy, ect.

Clone troopers are so damn cool, its one of the things that the prequels did right.

I would literally sleep on the floor in an empty apartment for the rest of my life if I could get my hands on some sideshow Clone Troopers.

They're literally the best figures ever made.

Watch out best clone armor coming though

EXCUSE ME NIGGA

These guys are a bit like the Death Korps of Krieg of Star Wars.

>Galactic marines
This will never not flimflam my zimzams. Marines are a thing that exist in reality, their specialized duty is to secure beachheads in enemy territory so the main army can move in safely. They're elite units with a single specialized role within the larger entity of the armed forces.

Why does sci-fi always use marines/space marines/galactic marines as simply a means of saying "these guys are really really cool"? They could've used a different term like elites or guards or whatever. The only way the term "space marine" could make any sense is if their role is to infiltrate and secure entry points on foreign planets (for example, they could be launched from orbit in what can be described as manned torpedoes, pop out, take over a nearby space station and then allow the rest of the army to use said space station to land their ground forces), but we practically never see space marines do this.

Why? Words mean things, don't use a word if you don't mean the thing it means.

That IS their role in Star Wars. Cool down your autism jets, user

>colors and skirts
Ranks.
Dual wielding blasters?
I don't know, probably with ranks comes the freedom of choosing your equipment, or maybe some troops are specialists on certain areas like heavy weapons or clearing buildings or stealthy approaching.

the real life marines are often called in far away from any body of water, so "marine = elite soldier" has some grounding in reality

and in star wars, stormtroopers/ clone troopers are often deployed via spaceship to ground, giving the impression of people unloading from higgins boats or amtracs

I know, right? Though it's mostly the supplementary material that made them cool, not the movies.

Pff you people are baby watch this

>Sev

>everyone uses blasters
>has a buckshot bandolier
???

The colour was originally to reflect rank but quickly was changed into regimental colours. e.g. 501st Legion has blue.

The blue eye designs above the visor are a symbolic Mandalorian thing.

He dual wields pistols because he is an Arc trooper that modelled himself on Jango Fett.

He wears a skirt because it's a Mandalorian custom instilled into him by his Mandalorian tutors.

A lot of it is Karen Traviss autism leaking into The Clone Wars, but George Lucas did have a lot of this in Episode 3.

Jango's

>He dual wields pistols because he is an Arc trooper

Actually, he isn't. Otherwise his designation would be ARC-7567 instead of CT.

These designs look like deviamtartshit. Keep it fucking simple

Is the projectile larger than the barrel it was fired from or is that just a bunch of energy surrounding it?

>Is the projectile larger than the barrel it was fired from

No.

>or is that just a bunch of energy surrounding it?
It's just the light and smoke exhaust being bright and obscuring the actual object fired.

Oh Karen Travis

>what are power cells

Fuck off, fag. Those skirts are pure aesthetic
