I watched Nosotros los Nobles and it was goodish, but yeah most Mexican movies tend to be shit, now they are even more shit, because goverment made a law that all movie theathers must show 1 Mexican movie in at least 10% of their screens (If they have more than 2 screening theathers) or 10% of their schedules.

So now we produce even more movies, but with lower budgets and rushed productions.

tbqh there's good movies made in mexico. but the kinoplexes only put in the movies they think have a chance to compete against the mostly hollywood movies showing, and that typically means shitty comedies starring tv comedians basically repeating their routines in movie form, or dramedies about the middle-class that make people say "lol, funny cause it's true."
