Trump's "Racism"

So what's this whole thing about Trump putting a "C" on his rental papers to indicate if someone was colored?

Isn't excluding coloured people from buying your property because they're coloured racist?

I wouldn't want them on my property either

Nice dubs user

I guess, but it's certainly justified. I own investment properties and so do people I know, and we all agree that its not worth renting your properties out to non-whites because they just fucking ruin the place.

He didn't know it meant coloured.

What whole thing? Would you like to link the article you're sourcing?

I'm only half educated on this one but wasn't it mostly his father denying coloured applicants?

They say this continued into the 80s but I don't see Donald Trump - already a huge star - personally looking at applicants for his apartments. It may have been company policy at the time, but we're talking NYC in the 80s. There were huge racial tensions back then and I doubt his was the only company to do such things.

The one truth in all this that he of course can never say now is "black people typically didn't pay their rent, and I had a business to run". It's the same as how I wouldn't choose to rent to a refugee or Muslim family now, but 20-30 years from now I'm sure that decision would see me publicly shamed (or decapitated, depending on how bad it gets here).

There is none

To start, the case was settled with no admission of guilt

Second, I believe that the C stood for welfare or benefit recipient. However because a larger portion of coloreds are on benefits they could point to those statistics and say they don't rent to enough black people.

The same argument happened with the casino he had built with the promise to hire local labor. He was then attacked for hiring a majority of white people because the local black population wasn't educated enough to work in the casino.

I'm pretty sure the "C" is just for alphabetical order. That's how it works in the State Department after all.

IT MEANS CLASSIFIED FUCK OFF HILLARY

Nice dubs user

Back in the 70s, New York City was falling apart. Desegregation, race riots, and federal homeownership policies were pushing whites out to the suburbs in New Jersey and Connecticut. Donald Trump and his father owned middle and working class apartments in places like Brooklyn and Queens that for decades had been rented out to white ethnics like Jews, Slavs, and the Irish. The rule in real estate is that once blacks start moving somewhere, then prices plummet. In New York at the time, the same held for Puerto Ricans.

In residential neighborhoods, once a minority family moved in, whites would start leaving in a panic. Apartments would lay vacant and monthly rents would plummet. The new tenants were poor, often on welfare, and took horrible care of the buildings. The Trumps had seen what happened to places like Bushwick and Williamsburg. In only a few years, those working class Jewish neighborhoods, and many more, had transformed into slums. Millions of dollars were at stake and they didn't want to go broke because of bureaucrats in Washington DC.

Makes sense why one little "c" was such a big deal

The housing discrimination was during the 70s. The story goes that after the lawsuit, Trump switched over to luxury real estate so he wouldn't have that problem. There's a saying, "our prices discriminate, so we don't have to" and that become his m.o. It's actually often more profitable to be a slum lord instead of a luxury developer, but Trump isn't really a developer as much as he sells his brand, so it worked out for him.

The "no admission of guilt" clause is pretty common in civil suit case settlements. As a phrase, it doesn't really mean much. Thankfully his lawyers put it in because most people don't understand that it's just standard language.

Even black landlords don't want niggers in their properties. Hard to call common sense racism.

No, it means they were likely to be shit tenants. I mean, if you were a landlord, would you want your buildings to fall into utter, miserable disrepair and become breeding grounds for crime and a festering reminder of urban blight?

Isn't forcing someone to "do business with someone that you know will cost you money in the long run by way of law" kind of authoritarian?

So like I said, the only thing you have is hearsay and a court case that was already settled with no admission of guilt where all federal regulations were followed afterward.

Wait...so the "C" on Hilldawgs emails meant Colored not Classified. That explains a lot. Hillary isn't a criminal just a racist. Thanks OP.

It's simple. He's a racist and so are his supporters. Which is why Sup Forums supports him.

The C means classified you dumbfuck

Trumps such a racist
Look look look.
.....KYS OP

Still working overtime CTR?

the C was for classified,

Every shillary knows that!

checkmate faggot

The government targeted Trump to make him look bad in the seventies and the lawsuit was settled out of court with no admission of liability or wrongdoing.

A relative of mine has been fighting a bogus lawsuit where an employee made up an instance of sexual harassment. Rather than taking the easy route and settling for $100,000, he's spent a half a million dollars and counting fighting it for the past decade.

Being principled is hard, and often costly. Many companies settle litigation regardless of whether they were wrong or not, because the cost of settling is often cheaper than fighting the lawsuit, whether or not it has merit.
