Is this actually popular? Netflix picked it up for a second season but nickelodeon opted not to. I don't think I've ever seen any merch related to it in stores or heard anyone talking about it besides Sup Forums last year
Only to the Internet. The show itself is okay but hits every superhero cliche in the book. Not a bad thing, but nothing notable, either.

Has the blond chick got her powers yet, I have a thing for bitchy queen bee characters that Redeem them selves and become friends with the main characters.
Levi Walker
>Has the blond chick got her powers yet Not yet. That's in season 2.
Luke Reyes
>95520160 Not yet, but sometime within the next year (hopefully).
And Chloe being Queen Bee was what made me a fan for the same reason.
Christopher Long
>I don't think I've ever seen any merch related to it in stores I've seen merch of it in two continents. Granted, one of this was in France. But I saw toys and school stuff for it when I was in Mexico. I think is only the US where the show is not being pushed.
Ryder Ward
I've seen the toys occasionally pop up in Target.
Jaxson Sanders
This. It's a big success everywhere BUT America, which was a driving force for the studio leaving Nick for Netflix.
Kayden Nelson
Nick intentionally sabotaging the show by putting it on Nicktoons Network instead of the basic channel and setting it on horrid time-slots did Ladybug no favors, either.
Charles Stewart
Bonglander here and yeah, I went into a toy shop just today and was kinda surprised to see a shelf full of Ladybug merch. It must be hitting the target audience.
A friend was looking for birthday gifts for his niece. Okay, and I was also looking at Transformers.
and making a mental note to perhaps order some dolls.
Aiden Jones
>Still sore at how Sissi from Code Lyoko was cheated out of a full-redemption and turned into a running joke.
Bentley Russell
> to see a shelf full of Ladybug merch. Doesn't that mean they're not buying it if it's filled up?
Jayden Hernandez
Show has potential just need better writers that can actually make character development.
Kevin Sanchez
Do you ever see empty shelves in the present day with the kind of rapid distribution networks we have now? I worked in a supermarket, even if there's only one of a product left we had to pull it to the front of the shelf so it looks full.
Daniel Cox
Just saw first season. Can someone explain how the fuck noone noticed their secret identities yet? >LB and CN have the exact same hair than their alias, and they see eachother everyday. >their voices are pratically the same, making it easy to identify. >pratically all their classmates have been akumatized >LB screws up hiding her identity in an obvious way every fucking episode.
>inb4 tumblr Gimme a better objective measure of popularity or shut it.
Easton Bennett
Yes. Like all capes there's no point trying to bring logic or common sense into it.
Nathaniel Gonzalez
Given the nature of sexual liberty on youngsters in France its pretty much implyied that Chloe is Adrien's fuckbuddy, right?
Angel King
If the news outlets in France are any indication, Season 2 is already an improvement in that department.
Jeremiah Collins
tumblr (the website) is different to tumblr (the attitude). Only newfags who are trying to fit in complain about the former.
James Carter
I'm sure they pretty much some Kwami illusion magic involved, hence why nobody can recognize them.
Joseph Jones
There was a press conference at France today were it's said the showed the first two episodes of Season 2. Anybody knows a place to find spoilers, please?.
Dominic Jones
I like Kamen Rider and the Frog people.
Jayden Jones
Ladybug's hair is a different shade of blue and Cat Noir's hair changed when he's Cat Noir so that probably why no one their identities .
Jordan Powell
After the backlash from the last set of spoilers, everybody's staying quiet about it this time.
Easton Kelly
Ugh its the fucking same
at least drop the ponytails.
Gavin Bell
Well, but there's always people (like me) who are sick of waiting and want to know stuff sooner. Somebody will surely end up revealing something.
Mason Cooper
Like that's really fooling anybody. More likely their powers make people unable to put 2 and 2 together, though in the end, it's one of the oldest cliches in superheroes and simply shouldn't be thought about too much.
The real question is how the Miraculouses work in regards to language, since the recent comic book has the French kids going to America and perfectly interacting with superheroes who speak English.
Hudson Phillips
>that episode when her friend figures LB goes to the same school and is in the same class >"welp now i just need to find someone in my class that has dark hair and blue eyes and lost her book" >marinette being the only one in class that fits the fucking description by far. >LB saves the day and all this gets dropped out by the end of ep.
Brody Diaz
>she suspects a blonde girl who doesn't even remotely look like Ladybug to be her
Cooper Cook
I want to do lewd things with _tiki____
Austin Ross
This time, though, they actually seem serious about Astruc's "NON SPOILERS" catchphrase.
Robert Roberts
>Astruc has had to bully the press into not reporting spoilers because he can't convince his boss to not leak everything to the press. Being Thomas Astruc is suffering.
Connor Reyes
>Started Ladybug as silly fake adult comic covers >Tried to push for a show >Initial promo video fails to get attention >Redoes entire concept to better suit merchandising >Promises six seasons and a movie but can't even get past Season 1 >Gets fucked over by Nick in the American markets >Producers and fanbase expose and spread every tiny new detail of the show without his say-so
You don't say?
Kayden Anderson
I've definitely seen merch of this show at Target. I was surprised the show was popular enough to have any.
Matthew Ramirez
The whole reason they even made the show to what it is now is to merchandize the hell out of it. A wise man once said that merchandizing is where the real money is made, after all.
Justin Perry
netfilx only picked it up for political reasons just like "dear white people" or black L Death Note
Leo Perry
It's magic. They ain't gotta explain shit.
Nicholas Ross
I love it. I'm a grown man, but also a total sucker for cheesy teen romance and superheroes. When the hell are they going to release the next season?
Oliver Williams
>the cuck stopped because he was told to embarrassing.
Ian Lewis
Hopefully before the year is done.
Angel Peterson
I just ran out of material to post.
Charles Powell
Posting my favorite Akuma out of boredom.
That big Day of Heroes special better give them some good scenes, at least.
Jordan Price
So, Astruc knows what he must do to save this show from the super-hiatus slump
>Ladybug: The Flamethrower! Now available on Amazon and at toy stores near you
Adam Hill
At this point, I wouldn't doubt it.
The kids love it!
Ryder Young
Chat Noir's delicious ass is a political issue now? What the hell is going on in Burgerland?
Andrew Evans
Yeah. Wal-Mart restocks like shit.
Grayson Lewis
Fatmerica cartoon industry is in crisis and infested with SJW parasites. They are just triggered that foreign cartoons are taking their place in the media.
I honestly didn't know it was a thing until I asked someone cosplaying ML at a con. Still haven't seen it. I assume it's worth watching?
Daniel Ortiz
If it stayed with this quality then yes of course.
2D will always be superior to 3D.
Sebastian Williams
Adrian is nowhere near the level of fuccability in this as he is in the actual show.
Ryder Walker
The animation was good, but the plot lacked... well, plot. Plus, Felix was just plain lame compared to the more-likable Adrien, to the point where Astruc completely disowned Felix for being too cliche.
I'd just keep the show's plot as it is now, but maintain the 2D style. Best of both worlds.
Carson Thomas
Anime is the only thing that can pull off the chibi cute things, huh? In 3D Tikki looks creepy as fuck.
Landon Wilson
Felix was a douche and a creep. Adrien is a bit dopey but always means well.
Ryder Parker
Take that back.
With weebs maybe, but not with kids. And you can't make bank appealing to weebs in the west, they're not willing to shell out crazy Japan prices for DVDs and merch like the otaku who keep the anime industry running are.
Leo Campbell
>Is this actually popular? Eh.
There is some merchandise in the toy aisles of Walmart, but I don't think I've seen it anywhere else. Some are fairly decent, some look cheap, but it's out there. You can also find all four DVDs for S1 along with the show on Netflix, but I'm not sure how much that is Zagtoons pushing it and how much that is it's selling.
>Is the studio's lther project zakstorm any good? I haven't found it to be that great. Sure, it's an okay action cartoon if you aren't expecting anything, but it doesn't seem to have much character motivation and not much plot progress from what I've watched.
Blake Butler
The way it's being handled, Miraculous most likely won't make it past Season 3.
Maybe their adventures in New York City will be a bit more interesting.
Matthew Williams
If anything, ZAG more likely had no faith in the NYC episode and downgraded it to a comic side-story.
Oliver Taylor
>Is this what would happen if Sup Forums wrote this series? Ladybug would be a guy. Chat Noir would still be a guy. There would be rampant homolust with every corner of the shipping grid, with lots of denying every time. Lucky Charm would be different shaped dildos every episode.
Michael Morales
Zag had three off-season specials planned, but they only ever released the Christmas one. The Halloween one and NYC one never came out. I'm not sure what's up. Zak Storm doesn't seem to be doing as well outside France, and while that seems to be licensing issues, it might've cut into expected profits for Zag. Then again, perhaps they aren't selling as many Miraculous toys as they'd hoped. I have to wonder if that's going to affect their planned release schedule.
Jonathan Cox
If Sup Forums wrote the series it would very quickly become apparent that it would have to become two completely separate series to please everyone: >Miraculous Jailbait and >The Very Gay Adventures of Chat Noir.
Daniel Cruz
You did your duty user. I salute you.
Jaxon Carter
And all due to behind the scenes drama. The actual show had incredibly good ratings. Even in America it did somewhat well all things considered (Stupid Nickelodeon). And yet, the total shitshow at Zagtoons has kept the show from really going anywhere. Hell, if Zagtoons ends up going belly up despite having this incredible gift all but handed to them, then Jeremy Zag should probably kill himself.
Charles Moore
They promised too much, but failed to realize that you shouldn't make promises you're not sure you can keep. Now they've got no clue what to do.
Thomas Garcia
You ever have that ship where you don't even care if they do lewd stuff, they're just so cute together that you feel happy inside when they're sweetcorn each other? That's Rose and Juleka for me.
Chase Ortiz
>Now they've got no clue what to do. Scroll things back and put more focus on the success of the shows you are releasing. I'd really like to see Pixie Girl, but that won't happen if the company goes under. For now, they should get their shit together with Zak Storm and work on promoting Miraculous S2. Once that is done (probably all of 2018) then they can start working on Zak S2, Miraculous S3, or if they are crazy start a third show.
Work on what you are good at and sell good memories for that. Don't drop everything and leave a bunch of people wondering what happened.
Austin Bell
Wait what? What comic are you referring to? What American Superheroes?
Michael Morgan
Miraculous Adventures, second issue. Ladybug and Chat go to America and pair up with its heroes (all original characters) to stop another villain.
Tyler Nelson
Can't find scans but I am just too curious what kind of American Superheroes the French would make. If one of them isn't a cowboy I will be very disappointed. As the "All Americans are Cowboys." trope always makes me laugh.
Hunter James
Pretty much straight lawyer-friendly parodies of Wonder Woman, Batman, and Robin. The Wonder Woman expy (Majestia) was in the show as an in-universe comic book character and now is apparently real.
Scans are all in here:
Liam Hernandez
Thank god. I wasn't looking forward to trying to find that thread again, or reposting it all.
Juan Scott
OK, so I decided to look up those webisodes and I saw these in the related videos.
Nothing is sacred to these "kids" channels.
Alexander Nguyen
Well if people are making clickbait videos using its name then the show MUST be popular.
Evan Mitchell
>Miraculous Ladybug tore his head Report that for violence and inappropriate content, and get that channel's ad revenue removed.
Leo Robinson
There's just something about them that one cannot help but love.
Zachary Watson
It's the Masked Man Fallacy in action. Marinette is so head over heels with Adrian that she doesn't notice Chat with his completely different personality.
It's like how Usagi kept running into Mamoru but was still shocked to learn he was Tuxedo Kamen. Even though he doesn't even transform, he just changes clothes.
Anthony Stewart
Ladybug looks a lot better, but Adrian is definitely a better Chat Noir.
Also what this user said.
Oliver Williams
Superman puts on a pair of glasses in a phone box in the middle of the street. What's your point.
Luis Brown
To be fair, Zak Storm neither had a German nor an US release yet. They are both sheudled to happen in the future tho so you might want to wait for that.
Cameron Moore
Any chance you guys could post some Marinette? I lost my folder. I lost the screenshots of her ass, too.
Alexander Bennett
>And you can't make bank appealing to weebs in the west, they're not willing to shell out crazy Japan prices for DVDs and merch like the otaku who keep the anime industry running are. That isn't remotely true, Americans are literally known worldwide for being consumerist as fuck.
It's just a marketing failure.
Jeremiah Morgan
Is zak storm fun?

Will Chloe, Alya and Nino get special upgrades as well or is it just exclusive to Marinette and Adrien?
