I've seen merch of it in two continents. Granted, one of this was in France. But I saw toys and school stuff for it when I was in Mexico.

This. It's a big success everywhere BUT America, which was a driving force for the studio leaving Nick for Netflix.
Nick intentionally sabotaging the show by putting it on Nicktoons Network instead of the basic channel and setting it on horrid time-slots did Ladybug no favors, either.

Like that's really fooling anybody. More likely their powers make people unable to put 2 and 2 together, though in the end, it's one of the oldest cliches in superheroes and simply shouldn't be thought about too much.
The real question is how the Miraculouses work in regards to language, since the recent comic book has the French kids going to America and perfectly interacting with superheroes who speak English.

Adrian is nowhere near the level of fuccability in this as he is in the actual show.
The animation was good, but the plot lacked... well, plot. Plus, Felix was just plain lame compared to the more-likable Adrien, to the point where Astruc completely disowned Felix for being too cliche.
I'd just keep the show's plot as it is now, but maintain the 2D style. Best of both worlds.

Eh.
There is some merchandise in the toy aisles of Walmart, but I don't think I've seen it anywhere else. Some are fairly decent, some look cheap, but it's out there. You can also find all four DVDs for S1 along with the show on Netflix, but I'm not sure how much that is Zagtoons pushing it and how much that is it's selling.

I haven't found it to be that great. Sure, it's an okay action cartoon if you aren't expecting anything, but it doesn't seem to have much character motivation and not much plot progress from what I've watched.
The way it's being handled, Miraculous most likely won't make it past Season 3.

Zag had three off-season specials planned, but they only ever released the Christmas one. The Halloween one and NYC one never came out. I'm not sure what's up. Zak Storm doesn't seem to be doing as well outside France, and while that seems to be licensing issues, it might've cut into expected profits for Zag. Then again, perhaps they aren't selling as many Miraculous toys as they'd hoped. I have to wonder if that's going to affect their planned release schedule.

And all due to behind the scenes drama. The actual show had incredibly good ratings. Even in America it did somewhat well all things considered (Stupid Nickelodeon). And yet, the total shitshow at Zagtoons has kept the show from really going anywhere. Hell, if Zagtoons ends up going belly up despite having this incredible gift all but handed to them, then Jeremy Zag should probably kill himself.
They promised too much, but failed to realize that you shouldn't make promises you're not sure you can keep. Now they've got no clue what to do.

Scroll things back and put more focus on the success of the shows you are releasing. I'd really like to see Pixie Girl, but that won't happen if the company goes under. For now, they should get their shit together with Zak Storm and work on promoting Miraculous S2. Once that is done (probably all of 2018) then they can start working on Zak S2, Miraculous S3, or if they are crazy start a third show.
Work on what you are good at and sell good memories for that. Don't drop everything and leave a bunch of people wondering what happened.
