Back in Conway/Claremont's Ms. Marvel series a running subplot was Carol struggling against JJJ's 'stay in the kitchen' attitude. The conflict regarding the Woman's Mag in the Generations issue is pretty much the same as in the original run from the 70s. Wilson is actually portraying JJJ in a much kinder light than Conway/Claremont did.
