Can't tell if you're a highschooler or just stupid.

Patrician reporting in

You're a pseud. There's no coherence in your book list, you've just assembled a bunch of books which are popular on /lit/.

I don't need to see anything else on this chart. You have my respect for including Golden Sun.

I don't go to /lit/. I didnt get into literature until about 2 years ago, and the books I'm reading and are fond of are all recommended to me by friends of mine who are a bit deeper into literature. Their favorites are Blood Meridian and Journey To The End of The Night, among others. I guses that's why my literature list isnt too coherent.

Agreed. I also love Campfire songs, however - i was very disappointed in that GY!BE album. Why'd you like it so much, especially moreso than Yanqui, Lysf or F#A#?

>society of spectacle
You're a pretentious cunt.

I'm not him, but maybe try reading the book lol

Why? You can’t comprehend Debord’s thought :^)

How big of a plebeian am I?

Honestly almost all of their albums have been my ‘favorite’ at some point in time and I think Asunder tends to where my taste is going right now. It’s very minimal, it’s heavy on the drone and it feels more like a whole than their other albums where you can pick any song and it stands on it’s own, while that doesn’t happen in Asunder. Also they took a step back on the crescendo formula but then in the last song they regain the usual GY!BE sound but noisier and more modern. It feels like the logical progression to their earlier sound.

I didn’t really like their last album though

absolutely based. wasn't a huge fan of ask the dust but i have a friend who really liked it and got me to read it.

did you read 2666?

If that's the case I guess I should check it out, as what I'm currently listening to is a lot more droney, minimal, ambient etc, (see Flood, Caretaker, Eno/Budd, Basinski, even Scriabin)

thanks for a well reflected reply.

Even moreso, I kinda grew tired of the /crescendo-core/ of lysf and mostly gybe as a whole. Guess I should check it out again.

I have no shame whatsoever.

I’ve only listened to those albums superficially. I respect Nujabes and DM. John Wick and Manhunter were both fun, and I haven’t seen that version of Hamlet yet but I’m very curious about it

>wasn't a huge fan of ask the dust but i have a friend who really liked it and got me to read it.
Lol, are you me? This is exactly what my experience with the book was. I let it sit for a while and read it again, and liked it a lot more.

Due to my friend taking such a liking to the book I guess I just expected a lot more, and was kind of let down. Second read had me enjoying more subtle details, like a single beautifully written paragraph or sentence.

Theres nothing ground breaking, but I did find it a lot more enjoyable the second time around.

I did not read 2666 but will check it out right away.

i dunno, maybe

yeah i only read it once and i still enjoyed it enough to finish it, anyway if i wasn't too lazy to make one of these charts i'd probably throw The Castle by Kafka and the Recognitions in there as well, oh and gravitys rainbow... damnit why don't i post on /lit/ i don't belong here. anyway thanks for being a sport.

Only about half of the first book is any good. Everything with Aenea is awful and ruins the cool Pax world-buidling

you, I like you
The Lost Age is superior in every way

Pretty great to be honest. Your films are a bit too genry but are great nontheless. Love McCarthy and Kierkegaard. Love Dylan and Cash. And I barely play videogames, but MGS3 is one I liked a lot. I think we could be bros.

The Lost Age is just a continuation of the first game. They're really not different.

Hmm. Your movies and games I get. Is Rammstein a childhood favorite?

What's wrong with Rammstein?
But you're right, it is a childhood favorite

Honestly I thought Pitch Black would get more flak.

Nice to see a fellow fan of Michael Mann kino. What did you think of Collateral?

historical films are based. if you like zulu i hope youve seen waterloo and gettysburg as well.
