Why did pearl wanna return home when she's known as a traitor/criminal there?

Why did pearl wanna return home when she's known as a traitor/criminal there?

She just wanted to go explore space not go home.

Because she considered turning Steven over to the diamond authority hoping they would pardon her for her crimes

because she's a borderline traitor to the CGs as is.

Really? And the show made it seem like that was okay for her to do?

>Amethyst was "born" on earth, never knew the gem homeworld, pretty much a native human culturally.
>Garnet's existence depends on Rose's ideologies being allowed.
>Pearl on the other hand never cared from Rose's principals, let alone life on Earth. Pearl was a Rose loyalist, not a loyalist to her views.

Pearl should be on a short leash, really. Even before the times she's tried to kill Steven.

Honestly what would she do if Steven ceased to be? She has no purpose other than 'muh Rose'.

because there is no story in this show
its like hundreds of different alterntive universes loosely related, sometimes one character behaves some way, sometimes the character is half as tall as he was in the previous scene

Probably try to turn Traitor in hope of leniency.

Sugar really should've run a tighter ship. It's like she had a premise she liked, but didn't really care for a vision of where it would go, or what the endgame would be, and just decided to let everyone else go ham with it in the hopes that it would work out.

She just wanted off Earth, she's still haunted by the memory of Rose and on Earth she's surrounded by it

Yeah,i love SU,but this episode allways confused me.
They get in a space ship later and she doesnt care about going back to space.

I dunno. If the Crystal Gems had some kind of equivalent of the Night of the Long Knives, Pearl would have been at the top of the list.

lets never let her run a show ever again

This is grounded in reality. A lot of criminals get caught because they try to repatriate because they miss their country.

But maybe she just wanted to show him space stuff. For inter-galactic beings getting stuck on a planet must be like getting stuck in a tiny village for a human being.

Objectively this. She can't into management or leadership. Her show is plagued by inconsistent art, off-model designs, OOC bullshit and long hiatuses. Next time CN gives her a show, they should appoint someone else to manage it.

>implying the hiatuses is not entirely CN's fault

she missed white diamond

Because Earth has painful memories (MUH ROSE)

Home sickness. Shes so depressed shed literally rather risk the very possible chance of death then stay on earth anymore

The problem is that most of her prior animation experience was from Adventure Time, which was notorious for being an unorganized mess in the writers room. Letting her lead a show so early in her career was a huge mistake, because now she's too high-profile to ever get a chance to work under someone who knows what they're doing.

Where is all the damn Pearl art

...

I'm sure the shitty air schedule is, but the pure retardation of the "bomb" format doesn't explain Venture Bros.-tier gaps between seasons.

The bombs burn through the episodes faster than if they were aired weekly, but the episodes are made at the same pace.

It was on of her manic episodes.

that's kinda interesting so it'll never happen.

They were instructed by cartoon network in early season one to make all arcs in bomb format, hell they thought that mirror gem and ocean gem was the end of the series.

Really? Source on that miss Zircon?

She just wanted to kill Steven and see if Rose would come back.

Kek

Not them, but I remember one of the crew members posted on Twitter that since Cartoon Network wanted to do "bombs", they said they were going to change the way they wrote the show while keeping that in mind.

So if the pacing issues between episodes are bad, that's most definitely the reason why.

she didn't want to go home
she wanted to go to space

Because Sugar didn't plan ahead to the whole prejudice and servant caste thing at that point. She just knew "there was a Gem-on-Gem war involving protecting/mining the Earth, the Crystal Gems were on the losing side, they can't go back. Pearl is an intellectual and mostly fought for Rose rather than the cause, so she misses homeworld."

Try to find the gem that was inside of Steven in hopes of resurrecting Rosé
