and I was expecting Sabine to do something cool with the darksaber

Didn't she hand it off to Bo-katan, saying she was worthy to lead the Mandalorians, despite everything in clone wars proving the contrary?

made her whole training with Kanan fucking pointless too. Guess Filioni didn't like another woman stealing the show from his waifu

>kills off the straight while male
>all the strong independent women survives including using bullshit timetravel
what did they mean by this?

>leaders of mandalore magically became black, latino, asian, and the best of the best were female led
>Clone Wars Mandolore was literally white central

If I was thrawn, I could not predict this.

Honestly Boba Fett should have came in, whipped all of them and took the darksaber. Then you can set up for the Boba vs Vader fight from the comics but this time Boba uses the darksaber instead

lol do you think the new story crew has read enough of the EU to know that even happened?

Rebels does this amazing thing, where it just barely grazes the balls of every noteworthy character, while still finding some shittastic reason why said characters shouldn't intervene

So, what happens to thrawn?

>Hey there is this fan beloved dark character from the comics.
>Filioni: Make him a cool surfer bro

he gets raped by space whales

I get that, but, does he live?

Is Filioni a hack who can't do anything original so he'll have to go back to using Thrawn once his new series starts to flop?

Hmm, maybe jj will use thrawn, since snoke is dead. That would be cool

How? Kylo is just going to let him take command? They'll have to bring Ezra and gang along too to explain where they got Thrawn from

Maybe as a third faction, I imagine parts of the first order won't follow ren.

It's JJ. You've seen how he made Khan, you really want him to touch Thrawn?

The Knights of Ren with Thrawn maybe. I dunno

is kanan blind or something? only seen the beginning of season 1

Maul blinds him in the season 2 final.

>the last episodes of rebels were worse than episode 8
I have to disagree, and I'm someone who really hates rebels, and also didn't like episode 8. In fact, I skipped almost every episode in rebels because most of it was filler trash. There are very few good episodes in Rebels.

That said, I watched the final half of season 4 and it was pretty decent. Of course, I have problems. THrawn was built up to be some super smart Keikaku master but it never really felt like he was especially when you know that in the end he'll job hard just to show how pluckiness and heroics will beat out cold and calculated. Also dislike how some fucking spacewhales from a filler episode were used as the secret weapon the rebels would use. Last gripe is that it's clearly setting up that the next show will take place during the ST timeline.

With Pryce as their prisoner, the Rebels force her to give them the clearance codes to infiltrate the Imperial command center at the capital. They manage to seize the control room and plan to issue an evacuation order to trick all Imperial forces to enter the command center, and then launch it into space and self destruct it. However, Rukh overhears the plan and warns Thrawn, who tasks him with disabling the command center's shields before they can launch it. Kallus is able to issue the evacuation order and all Imperial forces enter the command center, but before they can launch, Thrawn arrives and positions his Star Destroyer directly above the command center. Once Rukh disables the shield generators, Thrawn orders the Rebels to surrender or he will begin bombarding the city. Ezra decides to go meet Thrawn to stall him while the rest of the Rebels move to reactivate the shields. Thrawn then puts Ezra in contact with a hologram of the Emperor. Meanwhile, Mart realizes the plan is in trouble, and takes the Ghost to enact a backup plan Ezra had given him by sending a signal over frequency zero to summon help. As the Rebels fight their way to the shield generator, the Emperor tries to tempt Ezra with a promise to revive his parents. Ezra refuses the Emperor's deal and escapes custody, while the Rebels are able to raise the shield before Thrawn can commence bombardment of the city. Zeb is able to trap Rukh inside the generator as it activates, electrocuting him to death. Gregor is mortally wounded in the fight and dies. Ezra fights his way to Thrawn, and reveals that he arranged Mart to call the Purrgil, who arrive and destroy Thrawn's fleet. The Purrgil then grab Thrawn's flagship and prepare to drag it into hyperspace. Despite pleas from his friends, Ezra decides to stay on the ship to make sure Thrawn is defeated for good, and they jump away.

With Thrawn's fleet gone, the Rebels proceed with the plan to launch and destroy the command center. Pryce chooses to stay and go down with it rather than remain a prisoner of the Rebels. Upon witnessing the destruction of the command center, the people of Lothal celebrate, and Hera is confident that they will be able to resist any Imperial attempts to recapture the planet.
Thanks to the Rebel Alliance's victory at the Battle of Endor, the feared Imperial counterattack on Lothal never comes, and the Ghost crew go their separate ways. Zeb takes Kallus to Lira San to show him that he didn't truly exterminate all of the Lasat species, and that he is welcomed there as one of them. Hera and Rex continued to fight with the Rebel Alliance, and it is revealed Hera gave birth to her and Kanan's son, Jason Syndulla. Sabine decides to team up with Ahsoka Tano to go search for Ezra, leaving behind a mural on Lothal depicting the Ghost crew.

Who writes this garbage.

>everyone lives another 25+ years with no noticeable incident

What are you talking about here?

Oh look, Hera and Kanaan actually fucked and now we have little Jason...

Filioni crammed in a monologue to ensure his characters survive until after the battle of endor so they exist in ST times

Yes. Why do you think that is 25 years later?

because the ST takes place 30ish years after OT?

Hera's kid looks like he's about 5 year old.

The ending monologue made it sound like it was directly after the battle of endor or maybe a year after at most.

Yea, and give 5ish more years until the events of TFA takes place he'll be old enough to train under Rey

clone wars its pretty fun though

what are you doing, user?

Didn't the Vos and Nightsisters crap come from Lucas' daughter?

The EU doesn't exist. The EU has never existed. Stop talking about it. Sit down. Be humble.

Stop this right now user

>Clone Wars Mandolore was literally white central
I mean you're right, but Mandalorians being Aryan was just as much a spit in the face of what they were previous to the Clone Wars series.
They literally weren't even a race. Mandalorians used to be recruit people of all sorts of races, the only unifying thing being their dedication to Mandalore and their own warrior code.

Filoni say that Thrawn lived

They did not fuck, they kissed once and then he immediately died

Jason Syndulla was conceived by the midichlorians, just like Anakin. Right before his death, Kanan force pushed ~Hera so hard her eggs spontaneously fertilised.

>Went to hyperspace with no windows
>Right after having established in The Last Jedi that Hyperspace is just relativistic speed flight through normal space, or at least normal space and hyperspace interract with eachother directly
>Both characters lived somehow, even though the dialogue before it heavily emphasises that they're about to die
Gotta love them rewrites and that story group synergy.
Disney's so great at this.

I still can't get over how much they fucked up thrawn, how incompetent the empire was and how much bullshit the rebels needed to win.
Thrawn was just plain outsmarted by the rebels and died in the worst way possible even though he had all the cards and could've just fired at the dome bridge to kill the rebels or at least have done something instead of just getting one prisoner and then walking away. Thrawn never once really acted like Thrawn and could've just been replaced by a random admiral and nothing would've changed. I won't even touch governor pryce. The empire on the however is just retarded. Not once in the series are they menacing or able to be taken seriously with the Storm - and Death troopers just serving either as comic relief or masked idiots to mow down. I mean in the finale they only send 3 gunships at a time when confronting the entire band of Lothal rebels when they had bataillons of troopers, bombers, fighters etc. but all of that just stays at home. At then end of the episode the red guards had Ezra suspended in the air and a squad of stormtroopers and a death trooper are literally 2-3 meters away from a stationary target and THEY STILL MISS EVERY SHOT. The rebels on the other hand just get teleporting magic wolves that come out of nowhere, time travel, hyperspace whales, and literal omnipotent visions of the future and i'm willing to bet a lot of money that things like the time travel or wolves never appear in a major star wars story again.
God what a shit show

>At then end of the episode the red guards had Ezra suspended in the air and a squad of stormtroopers and a death trooper are literally 2-3 meters away from a stationary target and THEY STILL MISS EVERY SHOT.

I admit, this rustled my jimmies

Filoni confirmed in a BTS both Thrawn and Ezra survive.

The benevolent Kaiser Sheev will open the door for you to a timeline where Disney never bought Star Wars but only if you reply with "It's what I deserve" to this post.

>At then end of the episode the red guards had Ezra suspended in the air and a squad of stormtroopers and a death trooper are literally 2-3 meters away from a stationary target and THEY STILL MISS EVERY SHOT
I genuinely believe half the writers for Disney Wars either never saw any of the Star Wars movies, or saw them like a decade before writing this shit.
>Stormtroopers are terrible at their job, even though literally the only 2 times in the movies when they didn't mop the floor with the protagonist was in a New Hope when they were intentionally letting them get away, and in the Battle of Endor, where the Emperor only sent down enough of them to deal with a single shuttle worth of people (which they did without breaking a sweat), but then got literally the entire planet turn on them
>Yoda shows up as his fake persona
It feels like they're basing their plots off of Star Wars memes.
I wouldn't be surprised if The High Ground was a plot point in IX.

He was jumping into hyperspace with an open window while being strangled by hyperspace squids and with a force user next to him
Thrawn surviving is just bullshit

...

There is a new Thrawn book in the works by Zann, it releases this year. It is supposed to take place after the show.

I just wonder where we are going to see Aladdin+Thrawn escape the planet, in a cartoon or in this book.

It is bullshit. But it's what he said.

youtube.com/watch?v=uR8Sn_2VRBA&feature=youtu.be&t=7m27s

Trademarks that Lucasfilm filed basically confirm that the next show will be called Star Wars: Resistance.

I agree with all of your points, did the same as you. One could remix a pretty good 13 episode show out of this if you are the kind of autist that makes his own 1,5 hour fanedit of the Prequels. But in the state it the show is now it is obviously aimless, written from the edge of the seat and way too moronically written.
Thrawns and Aladdin hyperspace-jump with broken windows. How long will it take until people can walk around in space with no helmets? I wager we already kind of achieved it with Leias Mary Poppins stunt.
Why did Vader and the Inquisitorius NEVER return? They are Jedi killer, it's their fucking job and they know the Jedi still live. If anything Thrawn should have been the starting villain with Vader and Inquisitors appearing way later.

>I don't want to commit to things right now, because things might change
>I have a lot of theories about it and what i think happens and where they are
Wow, even he didn't think about what really happened
What a hack

I assumed the Sabine scenes took place maybe 2 years after ROTJ. But it could be anything.

Ahsoka was escorted by the rebel alliance and had her own Jedi Shuttle(tm). I wonder how they are going to explain Ahsoka being a known figure in the Republic/Rebel Alliance when Lukes academy was treated as the sole Jedi presence prior.

Is it confirmed to be after that shitty show? All I've heard is what it will be about Thrawn working with Vader. How it's gonna happen if he is kidnapped by deus-ex space whales and Alladin and no one knows where they are even after Endor?

They will retcon Ahsoka working with Luke in his jedi academy in new animated show which I bet will be between ep6 and disney-wars. Why they didn't just kill her in duel with Vader is beyond me, fitting end.

Could be that bullshit happens that has Vader or someone else save Thrawn but leaves Aladdin on the planet with the empire thinking he is dead. If I were Zann I would use that scenario so Thrawn can still be used during the Empire era, otherwise Zann might as well kill Thrawn to save him from the kindergarten that is run by children, also known as the First Order.

Or how about why Ahsoka didn't help the rebellion during the original trilogy

WHY ARE YOU THROWING AWAY MY GIFT YOU INSOLENT CHILDREN!

She doesn't view herself as a Jedi anymore, having left behind it's teachings.

When does this show get good? I'm almost done with S1 and I'm just not enjoying it. I don't give a shit about any of the characters, Ezra and Sabine are downright fucking awful, and the animation is ugly. Should I just give up?

>When does this show get good?
Never. I dropped it after watching the first 2 seasons and it was shit for all the time I watched it.

It pisses me off to no end that new canon every Jedi has his own special snowflake excuse to pretend to not be a Jedi. In the end they are the same as always, same teachings, same morals, they just get some extra scenes to mope about something and then maybe die. Legends Luke would have had more justification to say his Jedi Order is a new third faction than any of these pretenders.

Never. Maybe Season 3 Finale but even after that is a bunch of mediocre episodes. I would give you a list of recommended episodes but I don't want to waste any more of my time on this shitshow.

And yet Episode 7 and 8 are still the worst Star Wars could get even putting in shaming to Yuuzhan vongs

More than likely disney will turn Thrawn into one of the founders of FO or the one who discovered Snoke or something

>It pisses me off to no end that new canon every Jedi has his own special snowflake excuse to pretend to not be a Jedi.
It's literally only Ahsoka who's a special snowflake. Both Kanan and Ezra are Jedi and view themselves as such. All other force wielders roaming about have been dark side users like the Inquisitors, Knights of Ren, Nightsisters and whatever the fuck Snoke is.

They disappeared Thrawn to explain his missing from the OT. He'll be the new main villain once they find him and Ezra in the new series.

>When does this show get good?

It doesn't. And I say that as someone who watched all of Clone Wars and thought TFA and Rogue One were pretty good

Shit thanks anons. I haven't even watched Clone Wars, is it significantly better?

I thought Herra had Rex's child.

>Upon witnessing the destruction of the command center, the people of Lothal celebrate, and Hera is confident that they will be able to resist any Imperial attempts to recapture the planet.
>Thanks to the Rebel Alliance's victory at the Battle of Endor, the feared Imperial counterattack on Lothal never comes
So what, the Empire just ignores the planet for years until the second Death Star goes boom?

It only gets worse

Rebels started on Empire Day, Luke's 15th birthday. How old was he when Endor happened?

Was probably a year at most with all the Rebels time skips

Clone wars is better. It has some dumb Arcs, but also some really cool ones, like the Umbara Arc which is basically Space Vietnam

Doesn't all of Rebels take place before ANH?
So did they capture Lothal and suffer no reparatory attack for the entire Galactic Civil War?

The Rebellion exploded after the first death star became public knowledge. They were too busy to worry about some outer rim hellhole.

it was really a convoluted mess, the ragtag team always survive against all odds and can even outsmart their most cunning enemies, yaaay. Sure Kanaan dies but that's because he pregged Hera, and you know the hero rule: once you fuck and get the lady pregnant, you die.
I just don't know what's happening inside Lucasfilm, that shit was done a million time already, maybe Disney got afraid of having s darker tone?
There was a couple of cool moments tho.

>form story group to keep the lore consistent
>fail to keep the lore consistent
So I'm assuming that given reason is bullshit and they just issue marching orders to writers.

inb4 mirror universe where sheev is the good guy chancellor

Luke claimed to be cut off from the force but could use his powers at a moments notice, even had force visions the ENTIRE TIME
The Bendu from season 3 is a thing that needed to happen
Kanan shat on every Jedi principle from Order 66 onwards until he found Hera in a book. Understandable but I would expect better from an already indoctrinated child.

Those are all new canon Jedi I am aware off. Ezra seems to be the only one who has absolutely no problems with Jedi teachings or Jedi in general.

TCW is better. Story progression is all over the place in Rebels and TCW but TCW had far better stand-alone episodes. Just expect stand-alone stories, vignettes in the lives of these characters. It's a collection of shorts about a war, not a fairy tale with messages or morals (well, except for the Jar Jar, Mortis and Droids episodes).
But the true patricians Star Wars will always be the anthology comic series like Tales, Empire, Republic and Dark Times.

Human woman inherit part of the DNA of all her sex partners, who says Twileks don't do the same?

>I just don't know what's happening inside Lucasfilm

Neither do they based on the news that keep coming out.

And yet prior to that, the Empire was sinking a lot of resources into keeping Lothal under their thumb for some reason.

Last battle of Lothal has to be some time before the Death Star battle since they mentioned in the finale that the planetary evacuation order code is a new thing, seemingly not knowing that it was made for the Death Star.

The planet was manufacturing state-of-the-art starfighters for the Empire.
Why did the Alliance need secret bases? They could just go to Lothal; it was openly rebellious, had vital industry and nobody came to bother them.

Thanks anons, I'll give TCW a look.
I don't read comics, I just never had interest. It feels like reading an inferior book. Speaking of which, what are some good EU books?

This only makes me believe Ezra is Snoke even more.

Thrawns TIE Defender factories were the reason. But they were forced to divert funds to the Death Star project which forced Thrawn to make a plea to Palpatine for more funds.
When Thrawn returned the gouvaneur bitch destroyed all the fuel so the factories were unable to function.
Then Thrawn and the Gouvaneur died.
All of these problems accumulated, it makes the empires retreat rather realistic. I only have a problem with none of the imperials trying to flee the huge station when they realize that it's going to be a death trap, but the episode before the huge battle involved maybe 3 gunships ans 15 troopers so Rebels always has a problem with translating what is obviously supposed to be happening to the screen because of budget.

If your canon of Star Wars is anything aside from episodes 1 through 6 and the 2 seasons of Tarkovsky’s clone wars cartoon, then you’re an underaged fag and your opinion is shit

>confirmed for never having played Kotor or any Star Wars game for that matter

The only episodes I watched were the Maul, clones, and some filler tier shit I can't remember. Did I miss anything not following this show or what? Have I missed anything since I dropped Star Wars after Rogue One? Wasn't there speculation Rebels was going to end at the battle of Scarif since the Ghost was there and Chopper was on Yavin? Was Rogue One a fluke since it was the last quality thing Disney shat out despite having unmemorable characters yet cool battles?

>implying the KOTOR canon isnt shit on by TOR
Confirmed for being wrong and not keeping up with the kotor universe

Revan, Kyle Katarn, and the solo twins are all near-canon

Kotor >>>>>>>>> TOR and TOR isn't canon

OH NO NO NO AHAHAHAHAHAHA AHAHAHAHAHA AHAHAHAHAHA AHAHAAHA AHAHA

Assuming he was 19 during ANH, he'd be 22 in Empire and 23-4 in RotJ

>Tarkovsky's clone wars cartoon

There's some seriously good shit in here, but I'm not sure if it's an essential. Or necessarily better than the other Clone Wars.

Holy fuck she looks anorexic

Gendy Wars is technically part of the Prequel Trilogy canon because it introduces Grievous

Even if it's not essential, it's only like 2 hours long

all lekulovers must hang

It makes ROTS make a lot more sense
You get Anakin's trials, Obi-Wan becoming one of the best generals, introduction to Grevious and the kidnapping of palpatine right before ROTS starts.
Plus one off battle episodes ft. Mace Windu, Kit Fitso e.t.c.

>It feels like reading an inferior book
Funny you say that. I would say books are inferior comics when it comes to Star Wars EU. Books never elaborate on concepts or explain character motivations more than comics would. The books just add senseless dialogues, rehashing what we already know to increase the page count. Especially with comic adaptations of books like Thrawn trilogy the story that is supposed to be a direct sequel to the movies flows much better in the condensed form of the comic.

Best EU book of all time should be Darth Plagueis.
Thrawn trilogy, X-Wing series, anything written by Zann is universally loved. Republic Commando/things written by Karen Travis are popular but she liked ignoring things that were established elsewhere and got touchy when TCW for example retconned some of her ideas.
I can't say if the New Jedi Order / Legacy of the Force series are good but they have large fanbases as they were the first series showing Luke as a Jedi grandmaster teaching Leias children.

New canons best books are Lost Stars and a book simply titled Thrawn which is a prequel to Rebels but Rebels shittiness has no impact on it.

With TCW I would say Season 1 to the midpoint of 3, especially the Pilot movie can be childish. Never as childish as Rebels but it put many people off before. I would compare it to Star Trek, the longer the series goes on the better the episodes become.
Also keep in mind chronological order. The show was produced and aired in a different order which is far inferior.
