Unpopular Opinions Thread

12 oz. Mouse was the peak of comedic cartoon line delivery and timing (even though it looks like shit).

>(even though it looks like shit).
> it looks like shit

sort of defeats the prupose of visual media, eh?

Could you provide some examples? I haven't really watched this show, and what I have seen of it seemed incredibly unfunny. So maybe there's more to it than I thought.

It's definitely not for everyone, but something about the abstract writing/scenarios mixed with the perfect delivery just kills me.

>it looks like shit
It really doesn't. It's looks pretty good for something that is supposed to be juxtaposition between childlike art-style and more surreal humor/horror elements. Of course Sup Forums can't waifu anything so they think it's bad.

People who criticise 12 Oz Mouse have only watched the first 2 episodes.

It actually has some good universe building

Agreed.

Not really, I find the lo-fi fascinating.

Mr Enter said it was bad.
Therefore its good.

if you are a mindless, autistic zilch with no imagination, sure.

>it looks like shit
It doesn't just look like shit, the whole show literally looks like a child drew it.
That's part of the joke. It juxtapositions the crude, raunchy humour with the innocent drawings of a toddler.

Archer is bland and boring as fuck. The characters are so fucking predictable you can play out the scenario in your head while your watching. The animation is bland and their are 3 faces of surprised, angry, and happy. People say Family Guy has no likable characters yet Archer's protags are douchey, unlikeable POS

Which one was the bank robbery? Episode 1?
That was my favorite one.

there are 3 faces*

12 oz mouse died too early, Maielarro really should go solo more often with his cartoons. What does he even do anymore, haven't heard of him since Aqua Teen got cancelled

I'll never forgive this show and its entire low budget comedy block for taking the budget that had initially been promised to big O.

Can I help you?

stick that blame on tim and eric, where it belongs.

That was Tim and Eric's fault. They specifically wouldn't do another season if Big O got one. Then, blame whoever prioritized live action over cartoons on CARTOON network.

>That was Tim and Eric's fault. They specifically wouldn't do another season if Big O got one

I guarantee you whoever originally mentioned that fact was saying it as a joke. AS might say that they spent all the Metalocalypse money on Fishcenter, but that doesn't make it true.

I've tried asking them to confirm on Twitter. You know their fat asses aren't doing anything other than sitting around reading it.

Ask Mike Lazzo if he really doesn't remember what Space Ghost Coast to Coast is while we're taking everything at face value.

I never liked Aqua Teen Hunger Force. From the beginning and to the it was either tryhard or unfunny.

I've never liked Archer either, I've seen a couple episodes and it is just weak, the animation is just distractingly stiff and the writing reeks of that "too clever" style dialogue where everyone has what the writers consider to be perfect quips and retorts, it's just obnoxious.

This is one of the first things I saw of 12 oz mouse and I felt really immersed holy shit

I really liked when they played perfect hair forever and 12oz mouse back to back. Surreal

I want to like ATLA, but it just isn't a good show.
The plot was poorly handled the further the show progressed, building up to a very anti-climatic conclusion to the series.
I have heard the excuse of it being Aang's nature to take the pacifist route, but a good portion of the series was about Aang stepping out of his comfort zone and learning how to overcome himself to be a better avatar, and writing in a deus ex machina at the last minute pretty much undoes this.
This happened at the season 2 finale as well when he messes up bigtime and gets killed by that lightning strike, but it may as well have not even happened because all it did was pad the series with a mini quest and in the end it didn't really affect him at all.

This show's plot was even further trampled by its supplementary material.
LoK retconned much of the lore of the series, and despite being created by the same writers, goes directly against some of the core concepts of the series, particularly that in regards to bending and its origin.
Seriously, LoK managed to take the few things I did like about ATLA and completely ruin them, while still having similar writing issues, so overall, there were some episodes that were alright, but trying to make an overarching plot really proved to be a mistake in the end, as a buildup over multiple seasons for something that is concluded in 2 episodes tops is an easy way to create massive disappointment.
This is clear from seeing how people reacted in a similar way to the conclusion of a similarly structured series, Samurai Jack.

UHHH...

Thought it was pretty interesting when it was on tv. The dvd version that cuts it into a long movie make a big difference and improves it immensely, the lack of constant intros and credits is a bit difference in how it flows. I will never argue with someone who doesn't like it mostly because I can't use the "you just don't understand it" stance because I can't really explain why I enjoy it either.

So did Fitz shoot himself at the end of Enter the Sandmouse?

I'm not sure if it's ironic or not but this is the perfect example of the immature Sup Forums contrarians mind

Is the DVD cut online anywhere? This sounds interesting.

it's on adultswim's website
