Mulholland Drive

Wait, this WASN'T satire?

emperor wears no clothes bullshit propped up by the '''press'''' to help one of their own.

the book was serious, but the film was satire

it's not that complicated

it was pretty obviously an extended multilayered lesbionic hollywood fantasy/nightmare in the mind of a sheltered country girl. with extra oneiric weirdness thrown in and probably some inside jokes

Wait, this WASN'T a shitpost?

Get lynched.

nipples too long
disgusting

define satire in your own words

goddamn you're gay nigga

not a fan of bai ling huh?

it's funny, satirical, scary, dramatic and one of my favorites

it's a David Lynch satire, but it's still a satire

i don't mind long nipples I just don't really have any interest in lesbians. they can't even have "sexual intercourse" just emotionally fraught masturbation. it's ok in porn provided there's also a dick involved but I have zero interest in a story about them. it's boring fake romance between defective women.

>these evil women prefer to fuck each other instead of me

had to be $ laundering

where did I say anything against their character? I've met lesbians I liked a lot. I just can't get invested in a story with a lesbian relationship as the basic romantic component. are you projecting or something

You cannot feel for the characters unless you cannot self insert.
You are mentally a 14-16 y.o. girl.

Satire of what?

so you never actually watched the movie then?

no I just don't have much interest in that type of story. i enjoy lots of movies with no romance at all and with main characters who are nothing like me. I don't much like gay stories either. I guess it comes down to the pointlessness, per my worldview. straight romances mean something. everything, some would say

I watched the movie friend. the sapphic desire and associated emotional travails of the main character are a huge part of it, arguably the main thrust of what you could call the plot. as i recall

lmao kill yourself christfag

>christfag
wrong again dude

it's nothing against Lynch, Blue Velvet's one of my favorites. if that placates your defensive instinct

The fact that the relationship is a lesbian one has only a role on the motivation and few scene. The dreamlike aspect of the movie, its construction, its scenes have nothing to do about it.
You are at the level of the MUH PLOT plebs if you cannot be invested because there are dykes. Is not a classical love story movie.

you seem to be under the impression that I didn't like the movie overall. I did, just would've liked it more without a lesbian romance i didn't care about. which would be impossible since the lesbian stuff is woven into the whole thing with the identity swapping and inferiority and betrayal for a man thing (you're wrong about it being a small part imo.) all in all, great movie, will never be among my favorites. you realize my first post was in response to a joke about long nipples ruining the movie right?

>just would've liked it more without a lesbian romance i didn't care about.
This is why I say you are a pleb. You are the equivalent of the public that pushes for forced romance in movies (generally women).

>You are the equivalent of the public that pushes for forced romance in movies
how so? I'm not pushing for anything. I understand why he went with lesbians in this movie. what's so wrong with just not being that interested in lesbians and gays as romantic protagonists user
