"Because I think you're a sexist, misogynist dinosaur. A relic of the Cold War"- M, 1995. Was the writing on the wall back then and we just ignored the signs?

I wasn’t even alive then

the joke is that bond is all that and he doesnt give a shit.
it is more incorrect than correct pollitically speaking.

Dann, I can't believe she called out Margaret Thatcher like that

I don't think people watch 007 movies to see a guy being polite.

AND BOAAT CHASES ARE HARD AND WHY....

I loved that scene.

I wanted to say underaged b& but then I realised that it was 28 years ago

1995 was 18 years ago T___T

Is Pierce Bond and Craig Bond the same person? Craig Bond and M seem to have done and gone a lot together since Casino Royale (even though he recently went from 006 to 007). Was Judi Dench cast because she was still fit for the role or there's a bigger narrative here?

>Craig Bond
for me its like nu-wars,non canon.
but yes,it must be another "version" of him cause is impossible for him to have been 40 years old in 1960 and such.

They basically kept Dench as M because she was so good at it and was liked by the producers.

Every new actor that is Bond is sort of a soft reboot but I think Tracy's death was the one thing that made it have some continuity.

"james bond" is merely one of several codenames that 00 agents adopt, so every actor is playing a different man assuming the bond name

Doesnt she go on to admit they need people like him though? For all their faults they keep the barbarians out.

>006 to 007

Is this that he is 007 because he has 7 confirmed kills bullshit?

007 is a number designation it has nothing to do with kills

Great scène, still kind of miss Dalton in it even though PIEACCE did great.

Yeah she does. By the end of the film she comes to respect and like Bond and he comes to respect her as a good leader and more than the "bean counter" and diversity hire he first took her for.

Goldeneye is actually a really well written film.

That's pure fan theory bullshit. James Bond is the son of Andrew Bond (a scot) and his swiss wife Dominique Bond. This was cannon in the books and it IS cannon in the films. You see their graves in Skyfall. They died in a climbing accident. Bond not aging is just the one suspension of disbelief the films require of you.

Yes, it wasn't as bad as it was now, but if you watch the films in order, you can see the progression of the progressive agenda. By the 1980's you had to have the female at least be some agent as opposed to just a damsel like Domino.

>implying Bond wasn't brainwashed to believe that

C'mon now..... the mental gymnastics needed to make that theory work compared to "just ignore it and it isn't an issue" are unbelievable

>t. born in the 90s
Political Correctness has been pushed since the 70s.

Yes but some people watch movie just to pick things that they can complain about in social media

Yeah by cat ladies in small rooms in universities. It hasn't come mainstream till the 2010s

craig bond is already named james bond out of sheer coincidence. the bond's skydiving death is particular to his storyline, but not those of the other bonds

you are literally underage, people have been crying about 'political correctness gone mad' for decades.

no, because then Bond proceeds to prove her wrong in every movie since
he may have all those "problematic" attributes, but at the end of the day the man got shit done and she couldn't deny that

its in the books......

question for those who know more about the books than I
the Ian Flemming books came before their respective movies, right?
I looked online and the other movies seem to have books from other authors
my question is did those books come before their movies or were they written after the fact because the original Bond movies were made from books?

Why do people always assume they're talking about them when people say misogynist? If you've never abused a woman and don't hate them just for their gender then you're not. You can easily be a confident capable hardass who sticks to your guns without having a problem with women. Yeah these people can be crazy and miss their mark all the time, but why feel targeted when a woman yells at her abuser in a movie?

Wasn't M the anti-hero in this movie? The entire point of the movie is that she's wrong to try and phase out agents from MI6, they're not relics and the job can't get done without them. She dies for her ignorance.

So female M took over while Bond was in the mid point of his career after the cold war. Yet she also personally oversaw his recruitment to MI6 when he was young. Did she go back in time and break causality just to get promoted 20 years early?

>Was the writing on the wall back then and we just ignored the signs?

Women have always derided men for being men. But just like in reality, who did she need when shit was hitting the fan?

>sexist

Nothing wrong with thinking that the genders are different, and have different capabilities, allowing you to make generalized statements based on statistics.

>misogynist

No evidence 007 had any prejudice towards women.

>Dinosaur

Discrimination based on age and mannerism she (subjectively) deems "outdated". Classic ad hominem.

So yeah, she's a prototypical, hypocritical feminist.

You need to learn some math

then those books are describing craig bond only

Everybody point and laugh at the newfag

>Can't do math
>uhh no u! ur newfag lololol

It has been going on since the 60s, if you go back and listen to old speeches by the feminists and socialist from that era you will notice clear similarities.
In the 80s and 90s their efforts were mostly focused on academia, where we can see the fruits of their labor today.
It's time to burn them all.

They kept a few on for their role after a different Bond took over. Same Moneypenny and M from Dr. No across 3 different Bonds. Q was around since From Russia With Love through The World is Not Enough. One actor who played Leiter in Live and Let Die and Licence to Kill. They often use the same actor for the role a lot if they're established in the role and want to come back.

Nah, there's connections that imply they're the same person across the films. For example, Bond's wife from OHMSS is referenced across the Moore Bonds and in Licence to Kill.
