okay so i don't read a lot of dc. as pathetic as it is, I only know superhero lore from all the DEATHBATTLE! i watched until college and injustice 2.
So how is the flash not basically god? from what i've heard, he can go so fast that time is basically stopped for everyone else, go so fast to travel across time (space too? dimensions?) never runs out of energy, and because of his busted speed has access to an INFINITE MASS PUNCH which essentially SHOULD btfo anything if not for shit writing. also he doesn't get tired, and is fueled by the speedforce which is also generated by him, so he never runs out of power.
so what's the deal with flash. pic only kinda related
Camden Torres
He now has lighting bolt powers.Plus negative speedforce is also different.
I dont think he has the attoseconds vision anymore since 52.
Ryder Watson
Because the flash's powers are massively inconsistent and contradictory, this is It because it's FUCKING FICTION. Who pumps the batmobile tires? Nobody because it's not real
Jack Turner
so the flash in this picture is old dc? is new 52 their attempt to make their characters un-broken and fix some of the canon? not bashing it, if that's why
also what's negative speedforce
Adrian Myers
calm down dude it's just hypothetical shit, i'm the type of sperg who likes talking about powerlevels and who would beat who in a battle. it's just fun stuff.
Easton Brown
>Who pumps the batmobile tires? Alfred? an automated system in the batcave? the ghosts of Bruce's parents?
Landon Rodriguez
I love when writers just pull out a number out of their ass to describe something without thinking of the implications. Call me a nerd, but I love plugging in those numbers and seeing the kind of bullshit the writer has written. Some of my favorites are the planet Ceres being invisible 17 days out in Armageddon, the alien mothership in Independence Day being made out of dwarf star material and moving the planet Earth 12 million miles somehow hides it from anyone in Doctor Who.
Tyler Murphy
Fair enough, I'm just sick of people at the shop I work at bitching about who would win this or that etc
Jackson Turner
New 52 changed flash a bit. Then he recently gains negative speedforce powers few months ago. The attoseconds was pre flashpoint.
The negative speedforce consumes energy and requires food and blows up stuff near him and shocks stuff and is faster abit but other stuff is missing. Like vibrating through.
Superman had his strength increased to pre crisis a bit but his body weak to nukes. Before the merge.
Brody Evans
i try to just discuss it all in good fun. there's no reason to get upset over it, dunno why people do.
it's all a product of shit writing after all, why not have fun with it
Joseph Lee
new 52 sounds wierd but i guess it's better than everyone being broken
Jason Ross
Just gonna point out some things about this image. This is Barry talking shit and that this is from Superman: Grounded, an arc so bad it got retconned as someone fucking with Superman's head when the next writer got Supes
Also pretty sure I've seen a Flash or two get tired
Isaac Torres
It's like in the flash we're a black hole had an event horizon of 6.7TeV, which is 0.000001072J, that's a million times smaller than the amount of energy it would take to lift an apple about one meter from the ground
Chase White
Attoseconds thing is gone. Only has fast eyes but the mind don't comprend too much of his surroundings.
Jonathan Nguyen
>the character can "see faster"
this always cracks me up. i genuinely enjoy shit like that
Brayden Davis
Negative flash powers are different.
Anthony Cruz
now i'm confused. are they bad or good? what triggers the bad speedforce?
James Peterson
Thawne infected Barry with it
Brayden Nelson
It's basically his own venom arc right now. He gained these powers awhile ago when Zoom shoved him into the negative speedforce.
He is even faster now but most other power gimmicks are changed around and new weaknesses.
The lighting bolt is now a zap as well. Think electro but black.
Also can't heal fast much anymore.
Levi James
Stuff can blow up.
Bentley Wright
...
Robert Gray
Outrunning zoom and out powering.
Eli Cruz
...
Liam Ross
What is it about black lightning that just makes it so fucking cool?
Jacob Foster
Lots of fiction has consistent rules, you're just too used to capes. And Alfred pumps the tires.
Colton Hall
...
Jacob Moore
>Who pumps the batmobile tires? Alfred. Although for a while Bruce had a mute hunchback named Harold that did it. Then Harold got killed by Hush.
Chase Cook
Harold is back! He showed up in the Two-Face arc in All-Star Batman.
Carson Davis
Holy shit what.
Aiden Murphy
Because the writers didn't know what they were doing. Take him back to a lower power level.
Andrew Smith
Does he still goes faster than light? Because you know... he would be blind during those runs.
Mason Barnes
Faster than light but not that spatial awareness vision.
It didn't exist pre crisis, he got hit from boomerangs in the back.
It's just pre flashpoint thing.
Oliver Reed
>Perceiving events in less than an attosecond >Pumping the batmobile tires Clearly two comparable things
Kayden Scott
No, i mean... if he goes faster than light... how he could see anything? The light wouldn't be able to reach his eyes. Unless the speed force asspull magically gives him vision, he would be blind any time he goes at FTL speed
Thomas Ross
Speedforce works under the same rules as magic. It just works. Don't think too hard about it.
