So I decided to look at the changes & quickly found something interesting.
The FIRST big change in 2013, relevant to right now, deals with reporting non-compliance and reporting authorities. Employees originally were to report substantial non-compliance to the assistant director of the FBI. The only significant change in this section was the addition of a new position called the "Division Compliance Officer", who gets to UNILATERALLY DETERMINE WHETHER TO MOVE FORWARD WITH THE NON-COMPLIANCE REPORT
This means someone could tell an FOIA requester to fuck off and not tell their boss about it.
It ALSO means someone could fully comply with the request and also not tell anyone about it.

1. There's nothing "unusual" about their behavior. They're responding to FOIA requests electronically. It's nothing out of the ordinary of some kind of crazy happening.
2. Flooding them with frivolous FOIA requests is a fucking dumb idea. It takes time for them to honor a FOIA request. In other words, anything you would request now would not be released before the election. The things they're releasing now were asked for a while ago.
Ignore it for now, we have been warned about being distracted by emails.

If they leak it, they could be subject to punishments. "leaking" via FOIA requests lets them put this information out there publicly, without any particular agent's name attached, without breaking the law.
It's basically a "safe" way to leak information, so guys who aren't 100% gung-ho about leaking outside the law, for whatever reason, can still get their info out to the public.
Now we need people willing to make requests. It does look like they'll ask for some contact information, presumably so they can send the information to you. A fake name and throw-away email should be enough though.

FOIA requests take up to 20 business days just to accept or deny the request, and it takes additional time beyond that to deliver the actual records. So not only does it have to be approved among the huge backlog of FOIA requests they have, but spamming and asking for the same information multiple times doesn't speed up the process.
It's enough that one or a few of you make FOIA requests. Trying to get all of Sup Forums to spam it is a waste of time when they likely cannot release the information within a week anyways. This goes through more than a single person. Some rogue FBI agent is not going to be able to dump boatloads of Clinton oriented documents willy nilly just because you guys think it's important. They have to actually sort through it and determine what they're allowed to release which is why it takes a long time.

Regardless of an FBI revolt, you aren't going to see federal agents willingly committing espionage/treason/federal crimes and being locked up for 30 years to release documents that may not even mean anything.
You seem to think this is just a matter of dumping ass and letting the internet sort it out, but that's not how it works. Honoring an actual FOIA request requires them to review a large number of files. The broader your ask, the longer it takes them and they may just deny the request if it's too broad to realistically fulfill. Which, if you follow the template spammed in this thread, a request like that is not going to be fulfilled within a week.
You guys seem to be under the impression that the shit you're unloading on them right now is something they're reading right away and they're going to get the message and get right on it and respond by tonight or tomorrow, and that just isn't how it works. People are making FOIA requests fucking constantly and it takes a while for them just to say "yes" or "no" and then a longer time to actually sort though the shit they can release.
