Just asking, are you supposed to hate this bitch?

Zelda detected

why is her neck so long?

No.

Her boobs are too low, look the shoulders, her neck its regular sized, she injustice too old to wear Daria's look.

She is indeed meant to be a polarizing character, but given her behavior at all times, one with whom all "right-thinking" people are supposed to agree. Diane is written as annoying because if you have the "right" opinion on whatever she's whining about at the moment, you can generally dismiss her shitty attitude.

>mobile posters

Yes and no. Diane is pretty much perpetually stuck in her 20's, which is a subtle inside joke that the show prods at every so often. She dresses like she's much younger than she is, she married a man child because of his spontaneity and innocent like wonder, she works for blogs that she's far too old to blog for, and she regularly tries to stay hip and up to date with her cool newage lingo despite being hopelessly lost in it.

Whether or not this makes her a bad person is really viewer's choice. Her complete lack of maturity at certain situations is unfair to a lot of people, like when she ditched Africa because she couldn't handle the intensity and holed up at Bojack's. It also makes her a bad employee and a not good at communicating her needs. She does nothing egregiously wrong, but she doesn't do a whole lot right, putting her in a grey zone that most of people today in real life are in.

Diane is best girl

The gun arch refutes this desu.

No

I'm liberal as fuck and I find her grandstanding off-putting.

It's like how a reasonable right-winger would view a vaping Kekistani holding a Pepe sign

I don't think you are 'supposed' to hate or like anybody in the show, and if you do, it's more a reflection of you then the intentions of the writers

>Like when she ditched Africa because she couldn't handle the intensity and holed up at Bojack's.
I thought part of the reason was that she learned that Sebastian wasn't as noble as she thought.

I don't follow you; he was much BETTER than he seemed to be. Most episodes in the season give the character a minute or two to pound in again and again a portrayal of a pompous narcissist but in his final episode he turns out to be totally focused on doing what's needed for the people suffering from the war. Feeling sorry for them is meaningless. They need a hospital. Build the hospital. It's bombed? Build another.

Yeah you're right, I guess what she thought was that she found his thought process too alien and unsettling to stomach it.

She's meant to a slightly less shitty Bojack. You're not meant to hate her per say but she's definitely not meant to be liked either.

The scene where she's trying to have a conversation with a friend just to completely ignore and give advice to Todd in a situation that is out ogf her league, just for her to stroke her ego about "how much of a great friend she is" is the best description of her. She's supposed to be "right" but that doesn't means she's "good".

Which represents an inability to deal with the worst reality has to offer.

The point is that "nobility" means dick if "the noble thing" just means doing nothing but preaching to the choir.

Welp the economy sucks and most people don't have any prospects
What is there to look forwards to? A life of living paycheck to paycheck never being able to earn what your parents did in some field that could be made irrelevant at any point?
Who wants to move on and grow up for that?

She just couldn't handle shit like seeing children explode.

copythat

At least Bojack knows he's a shit and has tried to do something about it. With minimal success and sometimes he flakes out for a while but he's always gone back to trying.

>She's supposed to be "right" but that doesn't means she's "good".
Exhibited well in the rapist hippo episode. She's right that the hippo is a rapist and should be punished for his crimes, but she got involved to feel important and her efforts are clumsy and ineffective.

It happens on a smaller scale in the same episode where it's revealed she has a pompous and self-absorbed view of her leaking Bojack's biography in season 1. She was right to be angry and leaking it ultimately helped him, but her motivation was arrogant and selfish.

Naw, if you hate her that's just you avoiding recognizing your own flaws.
