I think they jam packed it because of slow Dark World was in comparison. I liked that it was light on everything because Marvel movies that aren't Captain American movies always mess up the darker moments

Tried to watch it on the flight home yesterday, and couldn't get past the first ten minutes. It was so completely unwilling to take itself seriously, ever, I don't see how anyone else could. Switched over to The Jungle Book, which was fine.

The only part I didn't like was when Thor sees Odin one last time and Odin makes the "god of hammers" joke. Only that scene had to be the only serious scene in the movie but they still made it a quip.

I liked it, too. It's a good, fun movie.

I was hoping that since they got Taika Waititi to direct, the jokes would be funnier but ultimately this movie made me realise his humour is right up Marvel's alley.
They also criminally wasted Cate Blanchett. I also didn't mind they got a black actress to play Valkyrie but christ she's a terrible actress and her shift in character after she decides to help Thor was dumb.

Nah, the god of hammers thing wasn’t really that jarring. But if they had followed GoTG2 formula of knowing when to hold back on the quips the movie would have been so much better. They only really needed to remove a few jokes and the movie would have been top 3 marvel for sure

it was a fun movie with a good soundtrack. I don't get the hate. It didn't take itself too seriously and no one else should.
