I already know that vancouver is predominately asian with some east indians and muslims thrown in. I've visited there before. But the white people there, what are they like?

What's the average monthly rent for burnaby, new westminster, coquitlam area?

Coquitlam is the cheapest, followed by New West and Burnaby. All are on sky train lines, so commuting to downtown isn't too bad. I'd say $800 for a crappy one bedroom in someone's basement is about entry level rent. For anything decent, expect to pay $1000 minimum.

How big is the white population there? When i visited vancouver, i would say 1 out 6 people were white. There were tons of asians and some indians and iranians, but white people were hardly to be seen.

Richmond is like ~80% Chinese, Surrey ~80% brown of various origins. Coquitlam has a large Korean population. New West is probably the whitest of the three you listed, although it's pretty ghetto (for Canada), followed by Burnaby and Coquitlam. If you want to see white people, move to Kelowna. The lower mainland has been lost without a single shot being fired.

What's the demographic like for vancouver the main city? I googled highschools in killarney, etc. and it was all asians with the occasional brown.

Downtown is a mix, but most of the "nice" areas (Van west, etc) have been bought up by Chinese. Even Killarney, which was very working class (it's next to the old landfill) has an average detached house price of over a million looneybucks.

I have no problems with asians or indians. But I'm only attracted to white girls. What would you put the white population of metro van at? census says over 1000000 whites in metro van (of a population of 2300000), but that's bullshit.

If you're looking to rent and don't mind noise, Marpole is ok. Rents are pretty reasonable (relatively speaking) and it's quite safe. Loud though as it's next to a bridge and somewhat close to the airport.

Your number could be correct, but it's so diluted that it feels like much less. North Vancouver is sort of an off-white enclave, but lots of Iranians.

yeah there's no way that half of metro van is white. i been there, it's a quarter at best. and yes. tons of iranians in west/north vancouver pass the bridge.

Happy to help. No direct experience with Sapperton but it's in a bit of a rough area. It's probably fine, just be careful late at night sort of thing. It's Canada, so it's unlikely you'll get shot or something anywhere except maybe Surrey.

yeah i'm just asking about sapperton because i stayed around a homeless shelter around there (royal columbian hospital), when i was out scoping vancouver. So i'm more familiar with the area. And yeah new westminster has a bad rep, but i'm from kamloops, tons of natives here so crime comes along with it.

Yeah New West is still pretty safe. Avoid Surrey like the plague though. The island is nice, as suggests, but jobs can be hard to come by.
