People thought Ultimates would stick

>people thought Ultimates would stick

we knew it wouldn't but it's nice to dream that we might get something nice sometime

IsnĀ“t that Galactus wielding All-black, the necrosword from the far future after Old God Thor blasted him with said necrosword? So yeah, Ultimates is "safe".

Christ, who wrote that?

Was it Bendis?

probably Aaron, if it's really Thor

>another retard thinking it's happening in the present

Guys, I'm confused, why is Batman just lying around with Selina when Joker and Riddler are terrorising Gotham?

Batman does as he pleases

>imllying I read capeshit

The main problem with The Ultimates was its line up. Most readers despise most of the characters or, at least, they didn't care about them.

It could have work 8-9 years before, when Marvel had better artist and writers and wasn't trying to prove anything.

Daily reminder that if Ultimates were successfull Ewing would have been forced to turn the battle with the First Firmament into another streched out shitty summer event.
Instead we got a nice concise ending to Galactus's story and the FF arc with some new elements added to MU mythos.

Really?

He's telling her a story. It's flashback. How he killed the Joker.

You meant to say "raped".

>Really?
Yes, really.

Speaking of Ewing, that stupid idiot starts each issue of Royals with Maximus on Earth, even though Maximus is also in space at the same time.

Then why are you in this thread, Garth?

then why are shitposting?

isn't future Maximus is space with future Noh-varr

your shitposting needs work

The main problem with Ultimates was that it just wasn't that good.

the first half was great
Ultimates^2 kind of dropped the ball

>Ultimates^2 kind of dropped the ball
which parts of it?

the art, mostly

and on the characterization for America, she was starting to actually feel like a real character instead of a prop

Ultimates reads much better if you consider it a Galactus story and regard Ultimates as supporting cast.
