There are tonnes of university professors who are right wing (many who are afraid of 'coming out' as right wing because they usually receive harassment or lose their jobs), but we rarely hear about them because they rarely get funded in a primarily left wing accommodating environment.
I'm not even right wing, I try to remain centrist but obviously lean right and left depending on the subject. I'm an environmentalist for example, but I am anti-immigration as well.
