If you are only considering critical thinkers within the establishment then you are suffering from a selection bias. Plenty of people in the science community also follow a religion of their choice.

Plus if you keep up to date with archaeological finds you will notice that theories are continuously changing. For example look up modern theories of human movement to the UK. They have found at least 4 new influxes of people who travelled to the island and died out.

I suggest you read and study a lot more about evolution and theology before relying on a ridiculous litmus test about truth and fiction.
