This show isn't gonna end well for her is it.
This show isn't gonna end well for her is it
There's no need to show her pit-y.
Shes worse than bojack. Bojack actually does good things.
...
I think the more revealing line is "Why can't I be happy???"
Naturally Bojack doesn't have an answer and Mr. Peanutbutter's answer is totally foreign.
Good! Mr peanut butter too good for her. Fuck. Even Bojack would be a better lover to me peanut butter
I like Diane. I think she's intelligent, and insightful, but only when focusing on other people.
My hope is that Mr. Peanutbutter breaks up with her and she spends some time alone, and eventually manages to turn some of the analysis she gave BoJack on herself.
In a lot of ways, BoJack's improvement as a person in the last four seasons is because of the way Diane saw him. It would be cool if she could do that for herself.
Are you saying she'll become Diane Nglose?
Good, she deserves it.
There is no reason for her to deserve a good ending.
Diane hates herself way too much to ever be happy.
Diane has a rotten core. Bojack is a good person that was covered up in his parents' shit for so long that it's barely recognizable. Diane is just a bad, selfish person that lives by the mantra that she's a good person, therefore she's always right and those that disagree with her must be monsters. Kind of a prototypical extreme left asshole.
>This show isn't gonna end well for her is it.
Not like it's gonna make a difference. Diane would bitch about it anyways
>"good person"
>abandons friend
>drives people to suicide
>is a rude asshole
>almost raped a little girl
Then again, you just admitted to be a Trump cultist, so I guess that's model behavior for sociopaths like you
> a hole has a brief moment of self awareness
Too bad it didn't take, Asian Daria is the worst girl.
please just leave
>almost raped a little girl
There goes your (you). Now get the fuck out of here.
Actually I think Diane's problem is that she does EXACTLY what Mr. Peanutbutter does, distracts herself with meaningless bullshit, except she distracts herself with stuff that upsets her and pisses her off instead of things that make her happy like Mr. Peanutbutter does.
To actually be happy, you have to distance yourself from things you have no control over. Diane cares too much about what other people are doing and doesn't concentrate enough on what she's doing. Then when she is introspective she isn't happy with herself. You have to actually spend time on yourself to be happy and be the person you want to be.
Kill yourself, faggot!
>I'm a pit that good things fall into!
She really shouldn't beat herself up for that since most women are.
...
Dave Sim pls stay.
The thing is it doesn't need to be that way. Cuddlywhiskers and Mr. Peanutbutter prove you can be selfish and still be happy, but her sense of self-worth is tied up in a self-righteous need to appear to be a "good person" and be selfless, and criticize selfishness, which is ironically a selfish motive (which she, on some level, realizes but doesn't want to accept).
You can see this in her interaction with Cuddlywhiskers, where her first instinct upon seeing he has found a happy way to live is to accuse him of being selfish because he didn't give consideration to how his actions would effect others. She IS selfish, but believes she SHOULDN'T be, at least in theory; she needs to accept who she is and work with that constructively to find what makes her happy. The problem is, she's gotten herself convinced her true self is a terrible person and she needs to fight it.
It's either her or Mr Peanutbutter.
One of them is not gonna make it.
>except she distracts herself with stuff that upsets her and pisses her off instead of things that make her happy
Pretty spot on.
Found the Trumps
>It's an "all 'opinions' are just self-righteous bullshit" episode
White Daria managed to take her head most of the way out of her ass in her teens. Why is Asian Daria still lodged up there in her 30s?
@95803689
I hope Mr. Peanutbutter fucking dies
>the T man is a conservative
>disagreeing with lefty feel goods means you're Sup Forums
Stop dragging this shit in, you're the cancer killing Sup Forums
If there's a good ending in it for Bojack (which I feel there legitimately could be with a very long therapy arc) then I feel like the writers would be forced to balance it out by making another character end up way worse than they were introduced as, to show that even as you're improving, the people you affected when you were toxic can still collapse from what you set in motion back then.
Diane is the prime candidate for this. She's only been getting worse, and nobody has been there to help her. Bojack actually has gotten the occasional brief emotional support, Diane just feels so alone in every scene she's in. I really don't think anything will go well for her until she hits rock bottom and reinvents herself from there, if she even can.
Bojack didn't make Diane a shitty person.
I am aware of this. What I mean to say is that a lot of the things in her life that made her spiral quicker than she normally would have are related to Bojack, and therefore if she does lose everything, she'll definitely at least attempt to blame Bojack for it, even if she knows it's her.
>I feel like the writers would be forced to balance it out by making another character end up way worse than they were introduced as, to show that even as you're improving, the people you affected when you were toxic can still collapse from what you set in motion back then.
They kinda already made a point of doing something very similar with Herb though. BoJack couldn't take back the shitty things he'd done and didn't get any forgiveness.
Bojack only finally failed to make excuses for his shitty behavior when he was 50 years old.
Diane is (roughly) Bojack minues ~15 years.
>implying the show is going to end with Bojack in therapy and not walking into a bar for a "Why the long face." joke.
Given the history the show has with people from BoJack's past (connections to a time of his life he was at least somewhat happy) dying on him and leaving him feeling terrible about it, I half expect BoJack himself to get a terminal illness that makes him realize he has to make the most of his limited time.
Or Mr. Peanutbutter gets a terminal illness and makes BoJack feel like the same thing is happening again, and determined not to let it end badly this time he goes off to do his bucket list with him and they become true bros.
A House ending? Nice.
I'm willing to bet Bojack is going to try and screw Hollyhock. He's so quintessentially toxic it's like you know Bojack's going to ruin her in the worst way possible.
>Why the long face
I forget, have they managed to hold off on doing one of those? I seem to remember they started to do the joke but Bojack instantly told them to shut up
Don't compare her to Daria, Daria was actually smart/competent.
Are Diane and Mr. Peanutbutter what happens when an introvert and an extrovert get in a relationship with each other?
That was how House ended? Huh. Much as I like Hugh Laurie that show bored the tits off me after about half a dozen episodes.
She'll mentally transition into a sell out just as everyone else starts actively pretending like they give a shit about world issues.
He faked his own death so he could finally be gay with Wilson.
She should keep squinting.
What the hell is she eating? Are those fruits with rice?
Actually that'd be a really bittersweet way to end the show.
Bojack realizes he's getting some sort of dementia when he starts to imagine/ loses touch with reality and seeks out to spend the rest of his time by helping Hollyhock
he should go out watching the finale of Horsin' Around
