Comics had a crazy amount of potential for storytelling but in the west it's stagnated into repetitive 69ing. I've been reading DC and Marvel religiously since the 80s and even out of my favorites I can't think of a single volume I've read that would be worth preserving for posterity's sake, outside of people to gawk at the sort of thing this era held up as "heroic" the same way we try to comb through legends of greek gods. It's all incestuous, self referencing to the point that it's incomprehensible to people who aren't already into it.

Let comics burn, nothing of value will be lost. Maybe something actually innovative will rise from the ashes.
