Why France can't into comic adaptation?

Why France can't into comic adaptation?

Because there's only ONE GUY doing them all, he's friend with all the CNC which is the ONLY way to have your movie funded in France, so his shitty movie gets made no matter how hard they suck

IT's like Addam Sandler, only it isn't limited to Addam Sandler movies featuring Addam Sandler as Addam Sandler.

>François Damiens as M. Mégot
At least this casting made sense

Our Mass media culture isn't a strong as the one of America's because we are a 70Million people nation, we simply don't have the numbers on our side.

Isn't le petit spirou full of nudity? Is there nudity in the movie?

No.
They made the movie as some sort of link between the kid books and the adult books, with Spirou having to chose between becoming a groom like his parents, or an adventurer.
Sadly the movie doesn't catch any ofthe good sides of both books. The teacher isn't even hot

wow, that sounds super lame

What.
You had Chabat making an Asterix and Marsupilami movies, Hoult making the Lucky Luike movie, Kounen on Blueberry, Besson on Valerian, ...
This is Barry's first adaptation, it just happens to look the exact same as the Boule et Bill movie because it's low effort.

>some sort of link between the kid books and the adult books
Way to miss the whole point.
Petit Spirou was its own thing about little kids being little kids getting into shenanigans, no adult Spirou adventure stuff. The only time older Spirou stuff was brought up was in one gag where he went to a fortune teller that told him about all the dangerous stuff he would get involved in, which made him cry, and his friend told him not to take it seriously since his Dad says she just makes shit up.

Still crossing fingers nobody ever get the rights for Sillage

It's a garbage comic with relatively mediocre sales so I wouldn't be worried.

To be fair, america can't into comic adaptations most of the times.
japan can't into comic adaptations most of the times.
nobody can't into comic adaptations.
They should stop trying already.

you are so cool, too bad I can't shower you with Karma. Have a little (you) instead

I need that preacher and gym teacher to be edited together in a reaction image.

>The teacher isn't even hot

What other french Sup Forums material could be used as a live action movie?
I go for Totally Spies.

>Spirou having to chose between becoming a groom like his parents, or an adventurer.

Just to avoid confusion, "groom" here means bellhop.

>The teacher isn't even hot

This is bait. She's super hot. Just not smoking sexbomb ex-pornstar hot, but regular clumsy girl hot.

>the french invented film
>those are french comic books
>and yet they can't make good comic book films

What a dog...

Blue is the Warmest Color was great and that was based on a comic

She looks like she's 50, bro. Stop airing your mommy fetish shit.

???

no

She has a nice nose.

Are you fucking blind?

He's just a pedo, don't worry about it

This one's excellent, but not because it's a good Asterix adaptation. It's just a great movie instead.

>Way to miss the whole point.
I guess that's because there's a Spirou movie coming and they want to push the Dupuis Cinematic Universe.

>Dupuis Cinematic Universe.

Soooo, when are we getting Dargaud vs Dupuis?

But the Spirou & Fantasio movie is an origin story. Why make the Little Spirou movie an origin story for the origin story?

>lucky luke is the cable of the game despite being based on MvC1
Fucking bullshit, but at least his stage has Miss Molly Muffin in it.

I can't get over how disinterested all the background characters look.

Just like Marvel, they can't help making each movie an origin story.

Not everybody is a corpse fucker, Macronfag. She's a total miscast that got the job sucking cocks.

We at least get to see the teacher losing her swimsuit like in that one comic strip right?

You can stop sockpuppeting now, corpse fucker.

These life action Asterix movies were all really fun. Sure, they weren't great adaptions of the source material but they were still funny and enjoyable movie.

In your dreams

Only the Cleopatra one is good, the others are dumpster fires.

Should stick with animated movies honestly, but the Asterix and Tintin live action movies are all very very good. Especially le Mystere de la Toison d'Or its one of my favorite movies of all time.

I really liked this movie, it was weird seeing animated right next to humans, or partially animated humans. But damn I loved this.

The most interesting use of rape I've seen depicted in movie or tv

damn it...wrong file

Overrated turd and not even funny. Never understood why people like this crap.

Maybe I will watch it when it's on tv.

The first one and Cleopatra were both great.

They dropped the ball (or rather, the budget) HARD in the ones that came after that. They still had Alain Delon in the third, for what its worth.
Haven't even watched the fourth yet, since it looked so poor.

Most of those women are like 60. The fuck is wrong with you, how is that attractive? Their pussies are so dried up they'd give birth to a terracotta statue. Sort yourself out.

>y dropped the ball (or rather, the budget) HARD in the ones that came after that.
Are you fucking kidding. Pic very related.

>France's BD movies budgets are proportionally as bloated as capeshit
>the movies are arguably worse

Well I didn't knew that, but the later movies look way cheaper. Maybe they blew it all on high-profile actors and CGI? The costumes themselves look super cheap in the later movies. In the first one, everyone wears contemporary suits, in the later ones it all looks like super cheap cosplay and generic modern t-shirts.

compared to the first movie.

It looks WAY better.

If you're going for comic accuracy maybe, but I liked the realistic translations.

Also Depardieu as Obelix is kino.

No, I meant, the first movie looks way better.

The later ones look like they got a bunch of random t-shirts from a thrift store and called it a day.

gay

As a non-European, watching this in the theater (English dubbed) was made more enjoyable by the fact that EVERYONE inside had to be a fan. Else why would they watch. It doesn't have instant casual appeal like cape films.

Maining Mélusine all day everyday.

Oh, I'd be maining Mélusine every day too if I could.

because you can't lewd children in movies like you can in comic books
