It goes shit after that season
this.
The best ending is the ending of season 5
The last few seasons are really shit, couldn't finish the final one it was so bad
It's good through season 5. After that, 6 is an abortion outside of it's first 10 minutes and it's last 5 minutes, 7 is a less fun season 2 that's carried by Ray Stevenson, and 8 turns to shit halfway through. The first 5 seasons are great, but the last 3 are so irredeemable that I'll probably never watch it again.
Enjoy it while it's good, season 4 is the last one
Probably bait but I'll tell you the same thing I tell everyone about this show.
Stop when you're done Season 4.
You've been warned.
This is the correct post. Stop after season 4. It is a solid enough place to stop that won't ruin your enjoyment of the series. Everything beyond that is bland or fucking retarded.
It goes downhill hard after season 4.
Also, Season 3 is underrated. Jimmy Smits character is one of the best characters of the entire show.
The only thing I remember from season 3 is Miguel Prado.
Next season has the best villain IMO, then the show takes a nosedive.
The last season is so bad i couldn't believe it was the same show.
Stop at the end of season 4. it give a perfect ending to the series. everything else after that is downhill
>It ends where it began...
It was perfect.
The worst part is that aside from Charlotte Rampling's character being Dexter's pseudo-mom, the first half of season 8 wasn't bad. I'd put it on par with 3 and 5 maybe until Hannah comes back. Then it fucking plummets in quality. I still maintain that 6 was worse overall though.
>A-at least the fourth season was good
"No!"
Good shit, but the subplots are pretty dumb, they dont have anything to do with the main story but overall I liked most of it except the last season.
Wish I could forget the show and rewatch it again, it was really addictive.
I dont even remember what season 6 was about
Colin Hanks and Mos Def were in it. It was the religion season.
>Wish I could forget the show and rewatch it again
Absolutely. This show would be my choice if I could do that with any.
please stop after season 4 and remember the show in a positive light
Stop after season 4. It really is the perfect ending for who Dexter is.
If you must go on, stop after season 5.
If you must continue, stop after season 7.
Do not watch season 8.
The show unofficially ends with Season 5 episode 1. Going beyond that will ruin everything.
Honestly at times, this show can be amazing.
At others, it can be unwatchable.
You can be hit with a streak of boring episodes and then get a really good one.
Also there's some choices that are kind of shit.
They killed off the best character, doakes way to quick.
Dexters monolouges can be extremely autistic and cringeworthy at times.
And they put up the opportunity for some
good ass Wincest but then they blueballed me.
Why they made an episode where Dexter goes off the rails and kills an innocent and then resolves it in the same episode astounds me, that could've made for an interesting arc

The show does this like 3 or 4 fucking times too. Really lame that he gets over breaking his code immediately every fucking time.
Get ready for season 4.
Bro season 4 is the best season
Stop after season 4.
>Stop after season 4
Is this even possible? the cliffhanger on that one is huge.
just come up with some headcanon
Drop it after the John Lithgow season.
It's not a cliffhanger.
Whatever you want to call it, it will make you want to continue to the next season badly.
Like everyone else. Stop after season 4. It frankly goes down hill after that and there's way too many loopholes and it consists of Dexter fucking up here and there. The ending. Don't get me started.
well you have to see him die first.
And by goes to shit he means there is a slight drop in quality (really just same shit different season) and kind of disappointing series finale
