You completely missed the point of the episodes. She saw the beauty of earth on her own way. She didnt need to interact with many humans to send this message. The CGS didnt either and they where a team with gems that died for that planet. And she didnt want to turn earth into a dead planet for resources, she wanted to turn it into a colony WITHOUT hurting the life on earth. It said so right on those fucking episodes. And if she had succedeed the plot would have been over since then the diamonds wouldnt want to try and kill earth or the CGS.

There hasn't much explanation for "gem weapons", really. Bismuth and Sapphire never summoned any weapons, either. Word of God says not everyone manifests physical weapons, but I think that's dumb.

Well, it's obvious that the people who animated her and possibly even some of the people who story-boarded her didn't know what her natural form is, so it was extra-difficult for viewers to guess as well.

You're forgetting that water manipulation is very limited outside of out blue world. Water is rare in space. Liquid water much more so. And we never saw her able to manipulate ice, you're thinking about Malachite.

The white icy look could have been just a design choice in that episode. They didn't really behave like normal ice, and she doesn't use ice in direct attacks even though it's more damaging.

But my point stands, water manipulations is only an asset near water, and for a race that doesn't need it, that's quite the narrow specialization. So a weapon would actually serve her well.

I'm assuming she's able to collect small amounts of moisture from the environment, but again, that's irrelevant considering Gems simply don't use water for anything and hence the atmosphere of their ships is probably very dry.

please remember that she was trying to save the planet(and herself) while the crystal gem where lazing around. when there was a time bomb in the planet and no one knew where the timer countdown was. peridot is supposed to be a smart gem but writers can make her cute or smart, never both at one time.
