Good:
>Flintstones
>Future Quest
Bad:
>Wacky Raceland
>Scooby Do Apocalypse

>tfw wacky raceland is still better than that godawful reboot

Accurate

all are worth a read at least once

Best is Flintstones
Future Quest had a weak directionless middle but ended strong
Scooby Doo is alright but you can barely recognize the characters after a few issues
Wacky Races has is like Scooby Doo except with worse art, but Its short and I thought it had a decent ending

>Flinstones
>Good
>Not Elder God tier

They get closer to their modern depictions down the line. Unfortunately even Daphne, who's become action woman who also happens to be mean as fuck. Velma is a legit autist who opens up and becomes much better later.

the flinstone one is great, better than anyonehere tough it could be,does someone have that image where the vacuum cleaner talk about the meaning of life and his pal bowling ball?

Scooby Doo is bad? That's a bummer. What's bad about it?

>that shaggy tattoo
I-is that a reference to that one porno parody?

Scooby Doo was weak from what I read but Flintstones is in a league of its own. It's so far and away better you'll just be seeing it in graphic novel textbooks in a hundred years.

in Future Quest, what's with renaming Harvey and Thad?

Its so bad its good.

>but Its short and I thought it had a decent ending
Didn't it end with Dick winning?

did you read the comic?no one won that damn race

I diden't, I just read that someone said that.

TOO
MUCH
EXPOSITION

Seriously, I tried to get into it, but they just wouldn't shut up.

>there's too many words
Not an argument

Birdman was originally Ray. Not sure about about renaming Thaddeus though

One part not muh
One part bad art
One part boring exposition
Two parts shitty references instead of a plot or setting

No clue about the 'bad' but definitely agree about Fred & Friends and Future Quest

Did the Jetsons one just not happen or what

I think it's coming out, hasn't arrived yet

It ends with the reveal that Pat Pending was the one who created the announcer and inadvertently caused the apocalypse. Also the race was a ruse to get his weapon into striking range of the announcer to correct his mistake. The weapon is a mecha comprised of the combined cars.

Fred is a self-pitting turbo nice guy who has only been good for driving a van and trying to fuck Daphne every 3 panels.

Shaggy is still pretty close to his normal role while also taking up Fred's as the team sane man.

Doo is Doo.

You had me at ruse.

>i'm just posting to let you know that i don't know what the word argument means

Fpbp

Flintstones is great
Scooby Apocalypse is ok
Future Quest was fun
Wacky Races was kind of weak, but the last two issues were nuts

Currently ongoing:
Space Ghost is cool
Dastardly & Muttley is fun

Scooby Apocalypse is pretty good.

No it's not

...

I agree that the opening issues where very wordy, but by the time they get to Velma's backstory issue - it picks up as a very well done survival sorta comic.

I didn't get past the first issue, so I guess you could think that.

I honestly dropped it because I though the book was focusing on velma to much

Wacky Raceland was OK

Also, Dastardly and Muttley is pretty good so far

I can get that.
I mean, her brothers are the main villains and the plot seems to be focusing on tracking the last two down.

I enjoy her role in the story, but the other ones are definitely getting less play due to it. It took us 17 issues to get Fred and Daphne's backstory.

Just finished the second Flintstones trade. This and New Superman are the best comics being published, imo.

Have you read Shade the Changing Girl or Doom Patrol?

...

Scooby is great, its one of the few monthly subs i have that i actually get really excited about every month

that being said though, its taking a LONG time to go nowhere. But the few times that stuff has actually happened i've really enjoyed it

Comes out November 1st

>Scooby Apocalypse
>bad
Fuck off

The Flintstones was amazing. One of the most unexpected greats of the year. Future Quest looked cool (although it's still kind of weird trying to take Space Ghost seriously after Space Ghost Coast to Coast.)

Cant say for the others.

I kinda like it but it kinda goes on too long. Like it feels like the story should have been wrapped up by now and they do not seem to progress that much. Maybe if it was like 20 or 26 issues it would be fine but it feels like some long running thing with no plan in site. They should have introduced the apocalypse in some opening arc then just have small stories set in that maybe with some large overarching plot.

I love how the whole issue was setting up the "Et tu, Brutus?" joke. Never thought I would enjoy his character so much because even though Fred was never the best employeee he was an unjustified asshole at time in the shows and specials.

Yeah, the double edge of that sword is that given Giffen - there's no guarantee that it will end.

I mean, I think the endgame has mostly revealed itself by this point, but given the pacing it could take maybe another 20 issues. And this thing ain't gonna last that long.

>best Big Two comics being published

FTFY

What happened to Snagglepuss? Is that still a thing they have planned? And I thought they had something in store for the banana splits as well. Totally plan on buying Dastardly and Muttley and the jetsons once that comes out. Already have Flintstones and wacky raceland.

#2 of Dastardly and Muttley is already out, or were you talking about the trade?

IIRC it's set for February

I meant the Jetsons, but will probably wait for trades. Sorry about the confusion

>Flintstones
>being published

user, I have sad news for you...

trip dubs agree

>What happened to Snagglepuss? Is that still a thing they have planned?

They're probably gradually rolling them out. Howard Chaykin's Ruff and Ready is still going through.

Mark Russell confirmed it for January

I've liked Future Quest so far, but I'm jumping ship once Olivetti leaves

Flintsones and Future Quest are good reads.

I've read the first few issues of the Scooby Doo one but it didn't really grab me. That being said I know that it has it's fans.

Now Wacky Races...It's really telling that they cancelled the book after six issues.

>Now Wacky Races...It's really telling that they cancelled the book after six issues.

I think that making the first issue non-linear, keeping the character backgrounds close to the chest, and taking the focus off the races/not portraying them very well...really hindered it.

It showed potential in a few spots but had a lot of stuff against it.

Yeah, I bought the first issue but the book was so unfocused and lacking identity that I dropped it. I agree with you though Dave, Scooby Apocalypse is good
