Jesus Christ, Mary Harron...
you know I'm something of a music fan myself.
that secretary was really nice in this and bloodline
I know the point of the film/book is that he kills people and noone seems to give a fuck but correct me if I'm wrong because I haven't seen the film in some years. But, isn't there a seen where Batemen meets with the detective and the detective is questioning him quite intensely about where he was when Paul Allen disappeared and Bateman is actively sweating and showing all signs that he's extremely suspicious or guilty. And the detective is completely oblivious and says something like "No, you were at ____" smiles and ends the convo. How can a detective be this retarded?
He was part of that whole Yale thing
The detective obviously knew he did it. Why else would he pull out the Huey Lewis tape for no reason and say" I mean to think that one of his friends killed him for no reason would be too ridiculous. Isn't that right, Patrick?"
>the point of the film/book is that he kills people
errrrrr he doesn't actually kill anyone
That isn't the scene I'm referring to. It's where they meet for lunch where Batemen is starting to go crazy. If you watch it again he seriously looked tweaked out of his mind and unable to confidently talk with the detective.
subject to interpretation but w/e.
FUNFACT
The director shot the scene with Dafoe and Bale three times. Once with Dafoe thinking Bale was guilty once with him thinking him innocent and another where he wasn't sure.
The director than inter spliced the three scenes randomly to keep plebs like yourself utterly confused.
TL;DR the director purposely made the film 3deep5U

Pretty neat. Did the guy go on to direct anything else?
Girl and yeah, she's actually a decent director. Check out "Why I shot Andy Warhol" or whatever. Based on that crazy feminist in the 60's who shot him.
Hey brainlet
Is talking about the diner scene
How could the detective have known what music was playing when Paul Allen was murdered if he didn’t even know a murder had taken place?
Oh, I swear I've seen that video and they're referring to the first meeting. It doesn't really change the fact that he doesn't do anything to Batemen? Not much is given for a motive other then he's looking into a case and because he's a detective you'd think he'd want to catch his killer. I haven't seen AP in years so there may be some other scene showing otherwise.
is there some behind the scenes or other meats content about American Psycho?
maybe he pulled out some other random album and Bateman hallucinated it as the album he was guilty with
the movie is very ambiguous with such a twisted perspective
I gotcha pham
Lol.
