I just watched The Great Dictator as a part of my assignment.
What an absolute dog shit of a movie, most of my friends fell asleep during the first 15 minutes of this film and nothing entertaining ever happened for the rest of the movie.
The only thing that is remotely good in the movie is the ending and nothing else. How can anyone praise this guy as one of the great? The Great Dictator and Chaplin's career is truly one of the most overrated thing in the cinematic history.

Buster Keaton was ahead of his time too. But Chaplin was everything: actor, guionist, director, musician (the legendary "Smile"), producer... He was a giant.
