Why is there such an anti-Lovecraft sentiment on Sup Forums? His literature is amazing and extremely thought provoking. He creates universes that none of have yet to equal and his works have inspired countless great films.
When, long ago, the gods created Earth In Jove's fair image Man was shaped at birth. The beasts for lesser parts were next designed; Yet were they too remote from humankind. To fill the gap, and join the rest to Man, Th'Olympian host conceiv'd a clever plan. A beast they wrought, in semi-human figure, Filled it with vice, and called the thing a Nigger.
Adam Robinson
Lovecraftian was a short lived meme, and then there is what if cthulu wasn't a story meme. People always ask if lovecraft's work can be translated to film but they can't because it's what the read's imagination from the description is what gives the true horror to his works
Joseph Perry
The most hilarious thing about this guy is that he fell for the Khazar milkers meme and was married to a Jewess for a bit. This man was Sup Forums incarnate.
Caleb Peterson
I took leave of my father's decrepit farmhouse in my modest Guatemalan automobile, making reasonable pace across a landscape bereft of anything resembling what I had come to know as modernity. I eventually reached the general store, a flimsy wooden structure that emitted a dark cloud of smoke from a narrow chimney. Two locals sat outside in the midday sun, accomplishing nothing and seemingly content in their doing so. Their bestial stupidity, likely the result of generations of inbreeding and race-mixing, was apparent in both their appearance and vocabulary.
My eyes were immediately drawn towards the words emblazoned above the door. These words perplexed me in such a manner that defy ordinary description. I shall not repeat them here, for I fear that anyone who stumbles upon this tome will meet the same fate as I should they read them.
I have not slept in weeks, as I have tried in increasing desperation to decipher the true meaning of that inscription. I fear that it is pointless. The fate of this city slicker is sealed.
Because most people on Sup Forums, and people in general, don't actually read/watch/research the things they talk about. They saw some picture of Cthulhu and they assume Lovecraft is all about le big octopus monster Dx.
>Why is there such an anti-Lovecraft sentiment on Sup Forums? he's too kafkaesque
Bentley Hernandez
bravo, user
Grayson King
atheist cuckoldry and lovecraft coincide with each other, you can see the person who like both.

>"this thing was so terrifying I can't describe it" >it's just a giant dude with a squid face
Hudson Gonzalez
All of his works were inspired by his crippling fear of sex, so this place should relate to him on a previously unseen level
Benjamin Hughes
He lived the dream by being NEET and making a fucking Jew work to support him.
Dylan Cox
Reminder anyone who uses the term "lovecraftian" or "Cthulhu" instead of wierd fiction is a reddit meming pleb who thinks "dude nihilistic incomprehensible monsters are neat!" and will never understand the existential dread or truly repulsive themes of miscegenation, inherited abomination, societal personas hat hide the truth etc etc. due to their own moral retardation.
a real shame Clark ashton smith will never get the recognition he deserves. His worlds and writing at least is far more enjoyable than lovecraft even without the substance.
Luke Martinez
>his uninspired leftwing way of writing. what the fuck does this even mean
Liam Hughes
10/10
Ryder Gonzalez
Bad style over substance maybe? He relied too much on tropes and meme words. but if you read his letters you can see he is actually an intelligent writer in his natural prose. lovecraft goes through the motions, all his stories have the same shell, it's like reading Nora roberts or someshit, but there is atleast substance underneath it all.
Ryder Hall
"No!"
Jayden Sullivan
Because try-hards and brainlets alike, do not understand his genius. Lovecraft was the Shakespeare of horror, he invented practically every plot and trope that exists. Try reading a piece of horror from the years before Lovecraft. The choices are a bit thin, you have Poe and Bierce, maybe some Blackwood.
Carter Wright
The average lovecraft fan has never read any of the work and like August Derleth is a cancer to the genre who would start making the monsters a fucking family with good and bad guys.
>Clark ashton smith will never get the recognition he deserves You mean the single most acclaimed weird fiction writer in any literary circle? Not being a known name to plebs is not the same as not getting deserved recognition. And "Lovecraftian" does have a specific meaning, his writing is easily identifiable and one could mimic his style, producing "Lovecraftian" work. Again, just because plebs misuse the term doesn't mean it doesn't exist or is meme rebbit shit. Also Cthulhu is a great concept and I couldn't give less of a shit what you or plebbit think about it.
Random retard normies googling Cthulhu pictures and thinking it''s actually a fucking giant squid.
Adam Long
Fuck that racist piece of shit.
Jordan Bennett
>unironically word per word the criticism lovecraft received when he was alive and a little after his death >history proved these elite cocksuckers wrong >this user parrots the same retarded opinion of 100 year old critics without any shame time is the father of truth, cocksuck. you are objectively wrong
One of the best Outer God stories in the last 50 years in Bloodborne. To me the best way to write the Gods is never really explain them, have them lurking on the outside of the plot and viewing humanity from the outside.
>read literature about imitation vs invention in art and how it affects the innovation curve of trends >some autists and manchildren enjoy the lowest form of humor which is a copypasta online >they unconsciously start devaluing and ridiculing the thing the pasta is parodying >they unironically start believing that lovecraft was a pulp writing hack
Camden Wright
>racist >virgin well into his '30s >untreated mental illness >fucked a qt busty jewess

Read the rats in the walls.
Jeremiah Allen
He was old school racist. Like had a meltdown when he found out he was part welsh.
Ryder Flores
Everyone went on about how ugly he was and he was pretty bad but he really carried himself well. Looks quite dapper here, hair, glasses and suit all go well with him, the inverse of what an autist who puts on a tribly thinks they look.
Ayden White
damn that's really good
William Sanchez
I think all you need to know about Lovecraft, Howard, and most of the other authors from that era is that authors like Steven King fucking hate them. Loathe them.
Why? Because they represent something that is simply anathema to them. I'm not even sure what that is. Pure originality? Daring adventure, the ability to transport you to new places with every story and tell you tales you absolutely love hearing? I'm not even sure.
I really started to dislike King when I realized he was so preoccupied with certain things. Children. Christianity always being the villain. It's always about youth sexuality, some overbearing doom and gloom religious figure, random bible references, it's just so fucking hack. I feel like a lot of people have seen The Shining and think King must be a genius, but then you read the book and people are being chased by sculpted hedge animals. Real spooky Steven. What are they going to do? Brush against me, to death? Lovecraft and Howard would have never, ever, thought sculpted hedge animals could be scary, and maybe that's why Steven is so buttblasted by them.
Jace Reed
>I really started to dislike King when I realized he was so preoccupied with certain things. Children.
Would not surprise me if he was outed as a pedo eventually, in almost every one of his books there's some sort of sexual imagery related to children somewhere
Zachary Nelson
He wrote several stories on protagonists who find out they have foreign ancestry, with The Shadow Over Innsmouth being the most popular.
Camden Baker
Understandable.
Liam Peterson
Everyone was. My mom, while doing some research about my great, great, grandfather, stumbled across many newspaper stories in which they referred to coloreds as niggers. Advertising often did the same. Lovecraft was a product of his time, he was no worse than anyone else.
Jaxon Bennett
T.libtard
Lovecraft was based and was profoundly racist even when compared to his contemporaries.
Henry Ward
>referred to niggers as niggers I see no problem here
Gavin Bell
You deserve another you
Carson Hughes
> extremely thought provoking
Reading 50 iterations of "it was too complicated and crazy to describe how it looked" gets really boring fast.
Also Nigger-Man is just cringe…
Caleb Carter
>Clark Ashton Smith I've read "The Isle of the Torturers" in a Weird Tales collection I picked up, that story was pretty good. A lot of the stuff wasn't that great. Another one I thought was cool was "The Chain". Different author though.
Luke Hughes
Me neither, just pointing out the fact that he wasn't the extremist, these millenial soyem think he was.
Isaiah Taylor
Leftcucks absolutely btfo
Liam Martinez
You must've lost your job after Sneed bought the place.
Jeremiah Gomez
I like lovecraft, he was the proto-neet with some spooky ideas. That said I don't like: >Idiots who think anything having tentacles or gothic architecture makes it lovecraftian >Anyone who thinks his writing is flawless >The media Assumption that lovecraft stuff is simply "better" or makes a film "smarter" because they have it.
