Even knowing Batman needed the Phantom Zone, it's odd the pre-release info made it look like the rest of the Justice League would be more imporant in Lego Batman. Makes you wonder if there was mass rewrite of the script to make it into a crossover.

Not really. Even I knew that the movie was going to play the JL as a joke like the previous LEGO Movie did. After all, Batman was the standout character (as he usually is) before and now he's got a whole film to himself.
