What are some other kino that are too smart for Sup Forums?
>accept the mystery
>smart
mmmhmmm
I can't seem to get a good discussion going.
>accept the mysy
Larry was being tested with a paradox and couldn't explain in simple terms how he was being entrapped.
what would you like to discuss
Well for one, what are the Coens trying to say, comparing religion to math and science? Clive was penalized for knowing the physics but not the math, it seems Larry ONLY gets the math.
Should it be possible for one to know one and not the other? Was Clive's failing grade fair or was it as stated by his father merely a culture clash?
What are some other posts that are too dumb for Sup Forums?
Terrence Malick is pleb-filter and soyfilter
you misunderstand the bribe. The bribe fundamentally was schrodingers cat.
mah nigga
Smart? It was a modern retelling of the book of Job. If anything it was a bit hamfisted
didn't like it but I like other coen bros movies. What does that say about my taste in film?
No I get that. What does it say about Larry that he is supposed to teach paradoxes to students but is completely flummoxed when presented with one in his daily life?
That you're dense. A Serious Man is actually their best work
It had elements of the book of job but seemed to be saying a bit more as well.
what was the significance of Sy ablemans death then?
Did their simultaneous death represent some quantum probability?
That movie is too depressing for Sup Forums
Don't worry, you can still redeem yourself. Did you like Inside Llewyn Davis?
What I was getting at is, could Larry and Clive's disagreement stem from a cultural misunderstanding? How could ace the physics portion of a test without (on some level) understanding the math? Could it be attributed to different schools of thought?
*crash
OP here, am I autistic?
BRAINLETS BTFOD
You'd be autistic if you had noticed that Sy's name sounds like the variable Psi used in quantum physics for wave functions like I did
That IS interesting.
I always thought it was interesting when Judith would say "Sy and I" it sounds like cyanide.
WHY is this board so full of plebs.
Larry...
How are you?
too many kids
also i don't know if you're criticizing people who like the movie
in that case go fuck yourself
People hate what they don't understand.
>t. didn't get it
Hmm. Everyone seemed to react incredibly surprised, shocked or disgusted even when Larry mentioned Judith was seeing Sy. Wondering if that could have any relevance.
The Chad Ableman and the Virgin Gopnik
>A Serious Man
I watched about half an hour into this movie. All I remember is a weak, neurotic jewish cuck with low confidence having little "run ins" with his masculine goy neighbor. Stopped watching because it was boring and miserable.
Cool
Ehh, didn't think it was very cool.
Seems like the coen brothers being self hating jews again. A miserable, boring movie to watch
It was full of humor and wit tho
I'm not jewish so I didn't relate to much of humor or wit.
The Man Who Wasn't There tackles a lot of the same themes but is a lot better imo. It's also pretty Sup Forums friendly (there's a jewish lawyer who introduces post-modernism and tries to undermine objective truth to help his defendant) so it's strange it isn't talked about more around here. Also I am not a poltard, but it is a great movie that does touch on some of their things.
Also it has prime Scarjo and Gandolfini
Fucking great movie
>filter
*magnet
>t. my only engagement with philosophy or literature is through youtube
Degenerate jewish art at it's finest.
No one can even break down what this movie was about.
it's about family
It's just about rabbis controlling the lives of the jews. They wander around wondering what the fuck is going on and why, why is this big fat kike stealing by big nosed fat lipped wife?
>I fucked your wife larry
I don't know. Just seemed like the biggest cunts in the movie were the most respected of the kikes (in regards to the movie world)
Pathetic, the state of this board.
The dialogue was fucking hilarious. No one mentions how dialogue is always the best part of a Coen bros film
