just read the rise and fall of the third reich. the funny thing is hitler was in fact, a cartoonish monster, when it came to things like the jews and slavs and racial purity. he would speak more or less rationally on a whole host of subjects (he did have some rather skewed ideas and erroneous conclusions about philosophy, history, and culture of course) but he work himself into a lather when it came the race stuff. people would describe him as frothing at the mouth and this is in private, not during rallies.

yes. it's an exhaustive look at the years leading up to hitlers rise to power, the war itself, and the immediate aftermath. if you have any interest in the period it's a must-read. very well sourced, IIRC it is all primary sources, diaries, and first-hand accounts backed up by diplomatic communiques and captured nazi documents. the writer is a journalist who lived in germany during most of the time period.

He wanted to send them to Madagascar. If Israel had been formed I'm sure he would have sent them there instead. He just wanted them out of his country.

Except no matter what view you take, Hitler was bad. If you take him as being the guy the historians say he was, then he fucked up the world by forcing the Empires of Order (France and Britain) to break up or get no shekels from USA, this lead to the wonderful nations in Africa and so on we have now which are not and never will be a problem :^). If you take the view he didndu nuffink he gud boi he just wanted land for his programs! Then he ended up doing the fucking same thing. If you take the view he was an evil genius who wanted to kill everybody and was a madman, then the result is the same, except on top of it we now cannot have nationalism, patriotism, national syndicalism or natsoc without being called 'Hitler' or 'Nazi'.

No matter how you view it, Hitler ruined the world, there is no way to debate this.

Probably. Jews are unable to be objective or unbiased with Hitler. But I'll check it out.

as far as i am aware, no. would it matter if he was? you can independently verify all his sources, the book is over 1000 pages, 200 of which are the bibliography. the main criticisms of the work is that as journalist the author lacked objectivity and a through understanding of german history prior to the 19th century. this migth be due to historians not liking that the book, at the time, was considered outside mainstream scholarly history. his bias is noticeable on certain things like blaming the german people for not rising up (americans like to go on about rebelling against tyranny) and he didnt like homosexuals.

just read the damn thing and form your own opinion.
