Justice Riders

Let's read something

Dope I love this one

...

>cowboy Faust
Interesting

...

My understanding is that this is basically a Wondie book

...

...

>Oberon
But... why him of all characters?

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

Hates horses almost as much as he hates shirts.

...

...

Looks like someone spilled water on the bottom of that page.
Or, is this digital? It looks pretty crisp for the most part

...

I'm guessing these will be the "totally OK to kill because they're demons/zombies" mooks, so they can get away with showing the JLA shooting people.

I'm fairly sure it's digital, but yeah I don't know why the words are so blurry there and nowhere else.

Guess they're robots? Or maybe Starro?

...

Ah, they're like Robo-Max Lord, I guess

...

...

...

>Helldorado
Holy shit

So I guess it's JLI, actually. Except oddly for Diana who's the star.

...

...

This is fucking awesome

...

...

...

...

I like how the trim is adding insignia's as the book progresses

...

Right? The borders are so cool.

...

...

...

Pro tip: listen to "The Ecstasy of Gold" while reading this

...

...

Trust me, I've got a dedicated Western playlist.

...

...

...

TWEEST

...

...

...

...

...

Yet another bit of JLI

...

Really gets my noggin' joggin', Wally

...

...

...

...

...

...

Dominators, too?!

...

Interesting read. Thanks, op

...

It's a JLI elseworld? Course, I'm not sure if Diana was ever on JLI.

Well, that was awesome. Wish there were more of it, I'd love an ongoing.

Thanks for reading.

Someone should continue this with "The Kents". Good show, OP.

Thanks for posting!
I have some free time now, so I think I'll storytime something different in a little while. It seems to be a quiet night

When the JLI split into JLAmerica & JLEurope, Diana was on the Euro team very briefly. She later joined JLAmerica during the Post-Giffen/DeMatthies era.

Seems like it'd be a pretty good cast in the mainline universe, with Diana taking J'onn's place as the put upon straight man. Or a less grouchy Bruce.

thanks for this OP

This, I could go for that line up.

Then they got killed in Convergence and replaced by that other Wild West JL team but lets ignore that shit, I think Convergence didn't happen anyway.

That sucked though.

thanks for posting

No it didn't, what it didn't have enough superheroes for you?

Hold on let me just use my rifle an-AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

>I'll be able to track his movements with my binocu-AAAAGGGHHHHHHH

Dang. Sad I missed this.

Justice Riders is maybe my favourite Elseworld?
Like, just about everything in it just plain works. Diana the Avenging Sheriff, Booster the man looking to make his name in the west, Hawkman the Noble Savage, Wally as a noble outlaw, Clark Kent at the end. It's just great.

Morrison's Cowboy Justice League just feels a lot less lively to me. Forcing it into the Batman-Superman-Wonder Woman and the rest model makes it feel a lot less 'Western' than this one.

Bump, I really should go back and read more elseworlds stuff.

Ditto that feels too formulaic, Justice Riders are better.

They honestly should revive the Elseworlds print, shitty stories came out of it but a lot of good ones did too.

>Gee, Guy, how come Mom let's you have TWO Scofields?

>They honestly should revive the Elseworlds print
It's baffling that they still haven't.

Sure they Earth One and the odd out-of-continuity mini, but nothing as energetic and weird as the Elseworlds books could get.

Wouldn't kill them to dedicate some annuals to the concept at least.

They might as well considering they have that Nightwing comic.

>Then they got killed in Convergence
I could have gone the whole day without knowing this

It's even worse than that- They were basically massacred offscreen by Flashpoint Wonder Woman, because Flashpoint exists to ruin EVERYTHING.

Wait, had you never read this before, Texas?

Do you think Ethan van Sciver would miss his thumbs much

Gun wielding speedsters are a fun idea (especially in this context) and it's a shame it's so rare.

> Think we'll hang?
Horse thieves were so detested in the Old West that it was not only a capital offense, but calling someone that as an insult was a quick way of getting your face caved in or worse.

Does Convergence even matter? If they want to bring them back, they can. I don't think anyone is going to shed a tear if someone retcons convergence.

Thanks for posting user, I really loved this story only problem I had was some of the faces look off

and just think Chuck could be writing for Alt*Hero next
