Is this movie playing near anyone else? I can't find ANY theatres that are playing this movie. What the hell? Is this some limited release thing?

>Is this movie playing near anyone else?
Not me
>Is this some limited release thing?
yes

Meanwhile steven soderberghs horror movie shot on an iphone is getting a wide release but this isn't

Even the fucking indie theatre near me isn't playing this. Apparently it's only playing in 27 theatres this week, it goes wide next.

I saw the first screening at the Alamo Draft House in Austin today. It was a shockingly dark movie. AMA

>have to wait until April

fuck

What's it like living in a liberal shit hole?

>movie theater nearby just got this AND The Death of Stalin

What is the race of this character?

wonderful. I fit right in

>he fell for the bait

Ohio

Any good?

not Wes's best.

It's well crafted and filled with good moments, but I didn't enjoy it as much as I hoped I would. Part of the reason was that it was so bleak and jarringly gory at parts. The characters are ugly, and the story lacks the charm of Fantastic Mr Fox to help look past that.

It could grow on me with another watch or so tho

Damn I thought it was gonna be a kids movie. Maybe I wont take my mom to go see it

Did you get a 5 dollar milkshake?

>he lives in a flyover shithole
Don't mind me, just enjoying this kino in 7 theaters near me

>Pg-13
>Shockingly gory
Plz explain?

El goblino... La cretura

It's not a kid's movie. It would be upsetting to younger kids. (there's plenty of dog skeletons and abused dogs from lab experiments) There are multiple fake-outs where you think some of the main dogs are actually killed that are played for laughs. The tone kind of reminds me of those dark 80s kids movies akin to Return to Oz, Never ending story, or secret of Nyhm - but mixed with the typical Wes Anderson quirkiness.

It comes across a little unsettling.

nah, they had Isle of Dogs themed mixed drinks. they had 'dog flu cure' in a flask that was made from absinthe.

>every negative review of this movie uses the word 'problematic'
guaranteed to be a good movie, boys.

Is there a girl dog?

it's not gory like a horror movie or anything; Ive seen much worse gore. it just comes across as more jarring in the colorful cartoon world.

ex: dog gettign ear chewed off, dog skeletons, live fish being gutted, realistic kidney transplant with blood, mutalated dogs, etc.

white directors making films set in other countries gets retards frothing at the mouth and moaning 'white savior' and 'appropriation'

yes, 3

they all seem to be whining about cultural insensitivity, but that's bullshit. I saw a stupid review say that it "other-ises" the japanese because it doesnt subtitle them, but the only human that speaks english is that stupid Ohio Afro girl, and she's super hatable...

feels good man

>tfw I'm gonna see The Death of Stalin tomorrow

Which theater?

>two of the negative review summaries on RT literally say "problematic"
Why does anyone pay these people.

Alamo Draft House

so does the what the flick review. what a bunch of insufferable knobs

Sounds kino as fuck.

Will definitely see it now.

Because morons lap it up. They either mindlessly agree with it or get absolutely assblasted by it. Whichever way morons respond the site gets clicks.

I'm actually starting to believe Disney is paying off
film journalist,5 years from now everything will be considered racist except for the latest Star wars or Marvel product

Yeah it will play here in fucking May

>The Death of Stalin

it looks like crap, why do you even care

they're 9 dollars actually, I wish the food at that place wasn't so ridiculously overpriced

they don't even give you that much

>going to a the-a-ter where you are not free to text

>holds up order card

That sounds awesome.

It's "I Love Dogs". The title is a play on words. Oh, Wes.

I have to drive 40 mins to Seattle if I want to see it next week.
Why do all the good movies always have to have a limited release? Do studios think that Americans are too stupid to enjoy kino?

yes, and with good reason
