multiplication and division are the SAME operations. They're scaling operations. They have the same priority. It's parentheses -> exponents -> scaling -> sliding

Take linear algebra, son. It's all arbitrary anyways, there's no inherent reason you do multiplication before parentheses just like there's no inherent reason why we structure sentences in a specific order of adjectives before nouns. All that matters is consistency.
