I never know what to say when it comes up in conversation. Do I tell them which movie I think is the "best" movie ever made - which in itself is a very tricky question, as there are many factors, ranging from technical strength to cultural/personal signifficance and so forth, to judge by - or do I just go with the movie I think is most fun and have seen the most times? Or is the answer always inevitably skewed and compromised based on the person(s) you're having the conversation with and whether you are comfortable being yourself or aiming to impress them (her)?
We only talk about Disney movies on this board, fag.

It's the movie that has the most influence on your life and positive associations in your memories, the movie that gives you a cozy nostalgic feeling when you think of it. Anything other than that movie is just posturing and not your actual favorite movie.

Raiders of the Last Ark for me.

Just pick some normie shit so nobody will laugh at you Like this guy
Pick some shit people have actually heard of if it's a group conversion. If it's a one-on-one talk you can discuss niche films.

>normie shit
Literally one in a hundred women and perhaps one in ten men over the age of 21 would know what movie you were talking about if you just said Raiders of the Lost Ark without the Indiana Jones preface. Even with it, few woman I've encountered would actually have seen it.

Maybe im retarded for this but i break films down into two categories: Fun/Simple movies and Emotional/Life changing movies. My favorite fun movie is The Thing(1982) and my favorite "life changing movie" is the Shawshank Redemption. I split them because you really cant compare "My Neighbor Totoro" with "Ocean's Eleven" because they are so incredibly dissimilar.

People who ask that question don't know much about film. If they did, the would realize how vague and stupid a question like that is. Either that or they're using your answer to gauge something other than your taste in film.
Ask yourself: why are they asking this? Then you'll know the answer.

Whenever a girl asks me that I just say star wars then talk for a good ten minutes(or until they walk away, mostly they walk away) about how the take over by Disney has removed the chances of making films about the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, and then I go on about the Yuuzhan Vong invasion. I don't get laid much. But I don't care. I'm an autist with 767GB of softcore japanese porn which keeps me happy.
>>age 31 >>most rewatched movie Terminator 2: Judgement Day >>favourite actor Arnold Schwarzenegger >>favourite genre of porn I have an active sex life now, but it used to be girl on girl or soft bdsm between amateur couples filming themselves. >>favourite food Prosciutto Pizza >>place of origin Born in Belgium, raised in South Australia >>last album you listened to in full I listened to the Top Gun soundtrack in full last week after some user posted a link to it in a thread. It was great. >>dream job Anything where I have to work 20 hours max a week and still make around 100k a year
