I don't know, Army of Darkness doesn't do much for me. It certainly has some funny moments, but it's so tame compared to the first two movies.
2nd movie is a remake of the 1st one
this doesn't count as a trilogy
strange, Army of Darkness is the only one I particularly like, the first two do nothing for me
Beverly Hills Cop
Mad Max if you remove half of Thunderdome
Wut
Evil dead II > AoD > Evil Dead
the remake is also good
Lethal Weapon 1,2 and 3.
Lord of the Rings
Godfather
It's a retcon, not a remake.
Well, they do feel pretty different from Army of Darkness. I think it's a good thing that Army of Darkness changed things up, but I missed the ridiculous blood.
Alien + Aliens+.....
Terminator + Terminator II +....
Lock stock and two smoking barrels + Snatch...
umm. well, sheeeet.
can i use Jaws (1) or The matrix (1) as a wildcard to complete a set?
I like how Army of Darkness is like a wacky adventure horror movie, there's really nothing else like it. It's the best representation of Raimi and Company's style of humor which I love.
First two movies are just about a dude in a cabin and while they have their moments, I find myself checking my watch. Honestly I prefer the 2013 film to either of them
1980s un-remasterd-wtf-is digital set of 3x VHS tapes:
Starwars; A new Hope, The empire strikes back, Return of the Jedi.
You know it to be true.
You get plenty of that on Ash vs Evil Dead. It's a great mix of AoD's silly humour and ED2's gore.
>star wars
Get out. Also RotJ sucked.
the remake is also about some dudes in a cabin
Yeah, it's a unique movie. I do like the setting a lot. I also enjoyed the remake.
I need to watch that at some point. I saw the first few episodes and had a great time.
back to the future
I would put them AoD > original > II
I want to understand the appeal of II, but it just doesn't hit quite the right tone for me. It comes across to me like a comedy that didn't want to go all in for fear of not being funny enough.
For whatever reason though, I love watching those movies in springtime. It's almost that time of year again.
Man with no name trilogy is the greatest set of films ever.
no, im pretty sure all my mates and i enjoyed the fuck out of it when we were 8, in 1998, and I got the set my birthday.
Try and tell one person thast watched it in that period that it sucked, that there was something better at the time.
you're wrong.
um annon, jokes about rape are very problematic, your post is offensive, and I've reported you to Emma Watson/The UN.
I know that, I never said it was one of my favorite movies or anything, only that I prefer it to the first two
Nostalgia goggles doesn't make something good.
Back to the Future you all know it
Terminator 3 > T2
>2nd movie is a remake of the 1st one
why do people still say this after all these years?
The sequels are shit though.
this is bait
you remember that time when movies were movies?. And it was actually enjoyable to watch a capekino?
This needs an explanation?
The movie just recaps then immediately continues the story.
If that means remake then every show just has 1 episode.
jesus christ i can't believe people is this stupid.
i didn't even know the "we didn't have the rights for our own movie so we made a recap" like in video.
But it's obvious the 2nd one tells the story from 1 again in the first 5 minutes or so for some odd reason
I like II as sort of a... Mix of the first and third.
I do
The series is better than all three, even if is a direct sequel.
This is my BOOMstick!
Because they didn't watch any of the movies and just want to appear smug on a anonymous internet site so they say outdated incorrect trivia until they're shot down, just to say "I was only pretending to be retarded why are you replying you must be the mad one" if challenged too much.
>that image
I wouldn't say they're SHIT. I think they're alright as films and are leagues better than something like Home Alone 2 when it comes to replicating the original.
